When…read morelooking at the website I was a little disappointed it was so expensive--$40 after taxes for a car load. You can have as many people in the car as there are seatbelts but there were just two of us. Their snack bar is now just candy and a few drinks, including beer. So if you wanted hot dogs or anything like that, you won't get it here. However, they let you bring outside food and drink--probably why they charge more. We made a huge batch of homemade butter popcorn, brought our own waters, candy, and jerky. The car next to us had brought in pizza and Chipotle, which I'd do next time. There are restrooms on the site and they were very clean and plenty of stalls (at least for women). The one thing I did NOT like aside from the price is that you have to use a radio to listen to the movie. I have a 2019 Subaru and my car battery almost died after leaving it on without the engine running for both movies. A couple people had cars that needed a jump. So either bring a handheld radio or bring jumper cables. We would come back again because we like older movies but it would be nice if they had newer movie options too. It's a cute date night if you like old school things.

I also liked that you could bring your own beverages. I wish the screen was larger, as the lot was pretty full so we had to park farther away. Also, being new to the Rock Complex, I wish I was given better instruction for where to go to enter.

The coolest part was how they would also bring the food directly to your seat even when the movie was playing. It just adds a nice little touch to the experience. The chairs are spacious and very comfortable to sit in and have a little tray that pulls out which makes it nice and easy to enjoy your food or snack without having to worry about putting it on your lap as you eat. However, the coolest part of this place? The ceiling has what looks like a dark sky with stars and every so often a shooting start goes by. It's a cute little theater and the service is always great. Such a nice little gem to have in the neighborhood with very reasonable prices.

The inside looks so cool with fun stairs and balconies around. Inside the theater itself is super cool! The ceiling is filled with twinkling stars and even some shooting stars! The theater is super big, it feels like a real theater for plays and such with large aisles and big seats. There were a lot of staff to help so it wasn't to busy or crowded before the show started. I got popcorn and shared some mozzarella sticks with a friend. The popcorn was so buttery and delicious, it was hard to stop eating it! The mozz sticks were super crispy with an amazing cheese pull, and tasty of course. 10/10 would recommend seeing a movie here and enjoying the old timey vibes all around no matter what movie you see!

I have enjoyed coming here and being a film member since Milwaukee Film took over. The theater building is unique and creative with the main theater holding some very unique architecture and decor. They have a second floor but for some reason it is very rarely open. That is a disappointment. The theater has snacks and drinks for purchase, with some pretty good popcorn and the brewer's/nutritional yeast makes it great! There is no parking onsite; street parking only. For events, it is best to come early.

Even though they have split it into 3 separate theaters, it still retains its charm. Some people love the new dream lounger setups at some other local theater chains, but I find the regular seats very comfortable. And besides you don't have to deal with people eating a 4 course meal, with all the lip smacking. People come here to actually watch the movie. Today we saw the new release of "Song Sung Blue". If you are going, bring a big box of tissue. It is a beautifully made movie, great screenplay, acting, and directing. So, so, good!
