She's amazing! I was worried about how my pitbull pup, Marley, would react to someone new. He's really friendly but high energy. Some people aren't comfortable with that. So she came by to meet both dogs before I left. Marley is in love with Natalie. I hired her to come by during the day to walk and feed the dogs. She fed them just as I asked, and she took them out for potty breaks. I love that she sent videos each day to show me how they were doing. This was the best case scenario. We used Miriam's service for about 6 months before having to let her go…read more We set up a home monitoring system in our home after being alerted by neighbors that many different people were entering our home while we were away and our dogs were having accidents in the house, which is not like them. Also, we were not receiving texts as promised when Miriam visited our pets so we had no other way of knowing that they were being taken care of. Here are some of the things we learned about CA Dog walkers: 1) Miriam gave access to our apartment to at least 10 different people. Initially, she told us it would only be her and one other person. 2) One of the walkers drank out of our milk carton, and then placed the carton back into the refrigerator 3) One walker brought her boyfriend over to our apartment 4) Many times, the walkers only stayed half the time we paid for 5) Our animals were not shown affection by Miriam or most of the other walkers who were too preoccupied with their cell phones to give attention to our pets (heartbreaking to watch) 6) Our older dog was not always given his medicine as instructed 7) They were giving the cat's digestive enzymes to the dogs 8) One walker snooped through our apartment and entered our bedroom (door was closed). Walker later said she was "looking for aspirin" Despite all this, we continued to use Miriam's services because we wanted to support her and her new business. We discontinued using her services after she scheduled dog walks an hour and a half between each other (2:30PM mid-day walk and 4:00 end of day walk) on a day when our flight would not get in until 1AM. The end of day walk was supposed to be between 7-9PM. When we alerted her of her scheduling error, she said she could not accommodate the situation and refused to make it right. That evening, our dogs went 10+ hours without a bathroom break because Miriam failed to do her job. We have since switched to a new service provider who has been beyond wonderful and professional. Our pets are too precious to be ignored and I would never recommend CA Dog walkers to anyone.

The absolute worst part about walking fats was passing other dogs. Laura has taught me so much about how to take control and have confidence while walking fats. She was a great employee, reliable and honest. Due to that, she was the 1st I reached out to care for my 2 dogs. She also came to babysit my 2 children. Everything was great until the last time she did overnights. My family went away for 1 week in Nov for a 50th wedding anniversary and I hired her to care for my dogs. My elderly dog has had recently had a stroke and was on multiple medications due to her condition. I never worried for a second while I was gone. However, when I returned from my trip I noticed many things were "off" in my home. One of them being all the beer in the house gone as well as beer caps under my sofa cushions, 2 of my new pans were scratched so badly I threw them away, I couldn't get the TV to work bc it had been completely rewired, new items were opened etc. I contacted Magda and asked if we could talk. I asked if she was the only one staying here. I also called and left a msg. She has yet to return a call, text or refund my money, that was 3 months ago. I ended up looking through days of camera footage and she was living here with a man who had no authorization to be here. (never met him) She also left him here by himself during the day. She barely walked my dogs. I'm just grateful they are ok. Now, I was more than willing to talk things through with her. I am literally shocked that this is the way a business owner would handle themselves. As I teach my 7 year old, if you do something wrong you talk it through and make it right. After helping run a dog walking company myself for 7+ years I dealt with many issues. It is not pleasant, however, you have to be willing to deal with the good and the bad when you own a business. I am not sure what changed with Magda, I would perhaps have been willing to talk it through however I was never given that opportunity.
