UPDATE- IMPORTANT Johnny was the entire reason why I go to this groomer and is no longer working here and it shows!!!! Originally I took my dog that was a biter here because Johnny was the only groomer that could do it. It's out of the way about 25 minutes away from my house. After that dog passed away I got a new dog that didn't need a special groomer so I found one nearby my home. Today my normal groomer couldn't take my St. Bernard, so I went back to A+ as they had availability. I wonder why? Previously, I had given them five stars two times . If I could delete that I would because of today's visit.. Let's start with the cost . My Saint has been groomed by multiple different groomers ranging between 80 to $130. Today's cost came with a price tag of $200. You would think your dog was fully dried but sadly no. Why were they rushing for me to pick up my dog when he wasn't completely dry? They blamed his drool but he doesn't drool on the back of his legs, butt or his tail. The undercoat was still wet! It's dangerous for a dog to have a wet undercoat. It can cause infection amongst other skin issues. He needed a full blow out and clearly was a rush job. Their door says 5pm close but WARNING they may close sooner if they don't have dogs. I now know why they didn't have dogs. They called me at 2 o'clock to state that my dog was ready not mentioning that they had an earlier closing time today, I stated I would pick him up immediately after I picked up my kids from school. On the way to pick him up they called again stating I needed to pick him up immediately because they're about to close when it was only 230. Charge me 200 but give me excellent customer service and I wouldn't complain, but sadly there were multiple issues. I felt rushed and annoyed. The root of it is they don't have space for very large dogs or the experience with very large dogs. Be aware they may weigh your dog and tell you after the fact that because your dog may weigh more than most dogs, you pay more . A lot more. They was no haircut... This was a bath! Does he look nice? Yes. Was I rushed rushed rushed? Yes. Did I pay $200 for a wet dog? Still yes. Don't go here. When Johnny left so did the customer service. read more

My furbabies were in need of a wash ASAP, the previous groomer we used to take them to ended up moving further. Found this place on Yelp and gave them a call, after asking a few questions, I decided to take them here. Walked in and the business was very clean.. they also offer self wash stations which is pretty cool. I have a 1 1/2 year old Yorkie 7/8lbs and a 8 1/2 Shihtzu 13/14lbs, the Shihtzu is really chill just cry's and the yorkie well he hates the bath even more despises the blow dryer, after letting her know she said if he doesn't allow them to continue they will have to cage dry him, which I was ok with since he practically attacks the dryer (smh).. I went here a last month with a Pomeranian puppy and chihuahua. Luckily they were able to get me in immediately that day for nail grinds and sanitary trim. Both my dogs are timid but once they're comfortable they're cooperative. I recently moved out here in search of a new groomer to grind my dog's nails and trim the sanitary area for my Pom. When I got there they quickly asked to confirm what I wanted and just rushed my dogs inside. It did not feel welcoming and to top it they were talking poorly about my Pomeranian in Chinese for being temperamental when they didn't even take the time to greet themselves or warm to the dogs --essentially forcing my dog through the service. I've worked at pet grooming salon/store before to know that isn't typically a quality trait a groomer should possess considering it only takes that one time for pets to be traumatized at the groomers. I asked for the nails to be grounded and they were barely ground down. For the sanitary cut it literally looked like they just hacked my dog's ass hairs and shaved his balls. Price is fair for all that I asked but the delivery of the service and mostly customer service is poor. The energy of the staff felt like high school bullies. If you need to get your dogs in for emergency grooming you can come here but would I recommend it, no. read more

They take about 3ish hours to finish and always do a great job making them smell so good and feel so cuddly soft! My dogs are always very relaxed when they come back too. Had a great experience at A+ Pet Grooming with their self-service dog wash! Also got a nail trim for my pup which was quick and easy. Was on my way to a friend in Pomona after a long day at the park and wanted to give my lil baby a refresh. Called in ahead to confirm that they had a self-service dog wash stalls and do nail trims and when they said yes I made my way over. A+ Pet Grooming is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking so no issues there. I walked in and luckily no wait time for us as there was nobody using or waiting for the stalls. I actually went to a different shop prior to this and they had a 40 min wait so I wanted to test my luck elsewhere which turned out great for us! Love their self wash station. There are 3 stalls, each equipped with everything you need. For little pups, they have the plastic board to elevate your dog which I love because less hunching over. For bigger babies, the tub is quite big and there's a door + step stool that you can use. I loved the shower head-it had an adjustable nozzle so you can pick your perfect pressure! And they have 2 speeds on the high-velocity dryer. Truly made for a convenient and speedy bath experience. Only thing to note would be to bring your own brush if you typically use it when you bathe your dog. I usually do, but didn't plan for this wash so just dried him with the hair dryer. He still came out tangle free so it was fine for me. They do provide the towels, shampoo & conditioner. If you need the flea shampoo, just ask them. After the bath, we just needed a nail trim, which took all of what feels like 2 mins and we were out the door. Overall a great experience. I've recommended this spot to my friend who lives nearby, and I definitely think I'll be back if I'm in the area and need a refresh for my pup! read more

This review is only for the self-wash station, which cost $20. This grooming salon is located in a small plaza next to quickly and McDonalds, accessible from Valley Blvd and/or Nogales. Parking in the plaza is decent. I took my 49lb lab/husky mix here for her first bath at the self bathing area. They provide you with a towel, shampoo, conditioner, a high velocity hair dryer (attached to the wall), brushes, and an apron to keep your clothes fairly clean. There were I think 3 or 4 giant tubs, and you can lock the door to the tub. The tub walls were tall enough so dogs can't jump out of the tub, but there were also leashes attached to the wall to further prevent your dog from jumping out. Each tub had a nonslip mat in front of it and a hair dryer. The bath shower heads were attached to the bath and allowed you to change the type of stream coming out of the shower head. The dog wash area itself was a little dirty. There was dog hair pretty much all over, which Is understandable since it IS a dog wash area, but you would think they would clean everything for a more pleasant experience. The hair dryer was just ok. It took forever to dry my dog, as it seemed to just be blowing the water off her rather than really doing any drying (don't know how to really explain it. You'll have to try for yourself) though it was my first time using a high velocity dryer - I'm not sure what I should have expected. Also, the towels were pretty dirty, and I was not about to dry my clean dog with a dirty towel full of more dog hair. Overall, I appreciate they offer this service, as I believe they are the only one offering this self dog wash in the area. $20 is a fair price considering they provide you with all the supplies, but the cleanliness kind of bugs me. Look, they do a great job for washes and hair cuts! Don't get me wrong there BUT they don't listen to you when you tell them NOT to do something. The first time I took him in for it was just a simple nail clip; it was quick, easy, and affordable. I loved it! Came back a few weeks later for a wash and cut, told them briefly not to shave him anywhere, left him and came back later, brought him home and I notice they shaved around his butthole a little. I thought okay... I will definitely make sure to let them know more seriously NOT to shave him next time. Brought him in for another wash and cut about 1.5 month later, made sure to express my urge and request to not shave anywhere without my permission! Picked him up and see that they shaved around his butthole yet again! But even wider this time AND UNEVEN SHAVING. Like WTH! He is a Pomeranian and is VERY vulnerable to Post Clipping Alopecia!! If you are a groomer that is something they should've known! Do not ever shave a Pomeranian!! His first ever groomers when I first got him, they shaved his back butt and legs that triggered his Alopecia that spread to his body!! It took a whole year until he finally grew it back!! Some don't even grow it back at all but thankfully mine did! He has been healing and recovering since then. Now that I thought I found a good spot they do this!! NO THANK YOU! I've been taking my dog of 14 years since she was 3 years old. It's been over 10 years despite the shop taking over by new owner a couple years ago the service level is still there. They take good care of your little one and pay attention to your needs.
