They are Christians After I picked them up the first visit Time I learned they got into a little scuffle with each other, I told them I was so sorry, she said it's ok we handled it, their fine. My girls came out happy and beautiful, I found the right place. Now a couple years later my 11 year old beagle passed my Basset was so depressed for a couple months I wasn't sure what to do, I finally took her in for a groom, they treat her so sweetly When I picked her up she seems happy and calm and shinny and beautiful. Been with Ironmaya for 3 years regularly now for my dog, Churro, and haven't really had any issues. They're really good at cutting your dog's fur, especially poodle fur and at getting the teddy bear cut. Takes them about 2-3 hours average for a haircut, $80 for my medium sized poodle which is a great price compared to other places (plus they don't charge extra for poodle fur). Some of their groomers cut better but overall the haircuts have been very solid with all of them. You can just text them for an appointment which I like. I would say for their pricing and skill, this is one of if not the best place to take your dog to esp if you have a poodle. I love taking my fur baby, Biscuit, here because they give him such great cuts every time. They also treat him with care and ask to inspect the grooming before I leave, just to make sure I'm happy with the service. Also, my pom has serious anxiety behaviors, but they always make him feel calm by the time I pick him up. I like how the front desk reception team remembers my dog's name and lets him sit on their lap when he's done with his cut (my dog is also afraid of being around other dogs). I've been going for a couple years and I Cant recommend it enough~ my dog always smells good and looks amazing and the groomers treat my baby with such kindness and I just can feel based on how they treat customers and our furry babies that everyone there really care about what they do and truly love dogs I usually go for a short hair-cut with a teddy bear face and asked for to be a little more round than what they usually do! They also accommodate for his allergies (hypoallergenic shampoos, you can also request them to use a shampoo you have that works with your dog) They also go out of their way to let me know if something is wrong to look out for, that I wasn't able to notice before such as redness and irritation in the ears from allergies. I brought my cat Yoki here for grooming on June 6, 2025, and was very disappointed with the experience. When I picked Yoki up, no one mentioned any issues. But after getting home, I noticed his tail was still dirty and, more concerning, there was a small amount of blood on his skin. I contacted the shop, and they told me the groomer had washed the tail three times but couldn't fully remove the oil (saying it's common in male cats), and that the bleeding might have been from a skin tag injury. While I understand that these things can happen, I believe this is something that must be communicated clearly to pet owners at the time of pickup -- not left for us to discover at home. What's worse is that after this brief explanation, they stopped responding to my follow-up messages. No apology, no responsibility, and no offer of a solution. As pet owners, we trust grooming shops to not only care for our pets but also to be honest and responsible if something goes wrong. That trust was broken here. I will not be returning. read more

My husband and I had our separate puppies - one "belonged" to me, the other to him. My Stoli needed more than a bath, but real grooming as she had hair. Ironmaya always did a perfect job, and they never had her for more than two hours. My husband's Billie has short fur, and was always taken to the big name store for a bath and brush. Now that I own only her, I've started taking her to Ironmaya. Such a huge difference in the quality of their services! Brought my 2 Chihuahuas and my moms Pomeranian puppy here for a bath. It was easy to make an appointment. I told them just a basic wash and no anal gland expression. We mainly wanted this to be a puppy experience for our pom since in the future she will be the one who needs more grooming. We dropped off our pups at 11:45am and picked up around 3pm. I actually realized my appointment was at 11:15 am after revisiting my text messages, I thought my appointment was at 11:30am, so I was kinda late... Im so sorry! The pups were nice and fluffy and seemed happy when we picked them up. All their nails are trimmed nicely and overall a solid place. The guy who checked us out was super nice and spoke Chinese. First time we visited we just got his nails trimmed. We normally groom him ourselves (bath and cut) except for the nails. With the holidays approaching and not having enough time, we decided to try taking him out. He's often very nervous and anxious. He also moves a lot so we were worried about taking him out. When we told the front desk staff, Sam, about it. She suggested that we request "express, no kennel" first thing in the morning. Dropped him off at 9:30a, the groomer, Cathy, did a great job giving him the teddy bear cut They finished in an hour even though it typically takes 2-3. He wasn't shaking when I pick him up which is a reallllllly good sign. He smelled soooo good. And they put this cute little ribbon on him. Highly recommend it! I have been a customer to this grooming store for over two or three years now I believe. I have always been a happy customer at this grooming store until these last two times. If you look at the pictures I have provided you will see that the first time my dog got an ear infection I was not asking for a refund but more so on how it had happened. However this time when my mom brought my dog back two days after the grooming session I started smelling the same oder again and i immediately texted the store. They called me and in the process of the call they told me that apparently Creamie had an ear infection before she went in there and they just forgot to tell me about it. And since she had it before i'm not going to be "issued a refund". However i was never notified about this and from what I remember my dog did not have an ear infection. And even if she did how is the groomer not going to notify me about it and allow me to bring my dog back thinking everything is fine ?!?! Anyways after that phone call I told them I wanted to speak to their management and in that conversation he basically said I may need to go to the vet to have them confirm that this ear infection was actually by the groomer and I was fine with it. Mind you I was already giving my dog medicine for the infection the same medicine as last time. So after the phone call I was waiting for over a week and I consistently kept messaging the management person they assigned on the case and they waited almost a whole week later to tell me that it is confirmed that i had to go to vet. Which to me is insane because i even told him i was giving my dog medicine for the infection and it felt as if they kept trying to take forever to give me a response so when they did my dog ear is already mostly healed and there is no point on going to vet which also means i don't get a refund. Which to me felt very calculated and manipulative when on the phone he said it would take one or two days to get back to me but instead he took over a week !! Pros: Scheduling appointments is easy by texting their phone number. I've tried calling before and it instructs clients to text for the quickest response. My dog was ready in a little over 3 hours after I dropped her off & she was clean, fluffy & had a fairly good trim all around. Cons: After arriving home from the groomer, my dog was constantly licking one of her hind legs for several days after. She didn't appear to have an injury, but the fact that she was licking one of her hind legs made me worry that she might have had some trauma or injury that would cause her to nurse her leg every day/night for at least 5 days. A few days after the groomer, I found scabs on my dog's chest that was hidden underneath her fluffy fur. I had to carefully trim her fur to discover scabs that looked greenish/yellow. I immediately contacted the groomer to ask about the wounds and was told that nothing abnormal was documented in her session. My concerns were supposed to be forwarded to their management and I have waited a week and still no contact from anyone about what happened. Recommendation: My trust in this grooming company has been broken. I will not be returning or recommending this place. read more

I want to say we were looking to handle this privately as we understand mistakes happen however cannot wait for a contact detail and could not find one on the Yelp page outside of the phone number. We've been looking for a new local groomer since wifey and I moved into the area. Today we took our dogs into Ironmaya after grabbing coffee next door and finding a Christian ran small business that seemed fair in price and quality in service earlier in the week. Excited, we scheduled and brought them in. Within an hour and a half, they bathed, cut the nails, brushed the teeth and furminated (deshed) our dogs which was awesome as usually it would take our prior groomers twice as long. Coming in, we were INSTANTLY greeted with, "Kuzma was drama". (our shiba). Kaiba (our German) came out clean, in his harness and leash ready. Kuzma, came out leashless, with no harness...probably because he lost trust with the groomers (he's a friendly dog in temperament). As he ran around immediately we noticed wounds and chunks of hair / bald spots on various parts of his body :/ We picked him up, brought him to be accessed by Robert, the gentlemen running the front and expressed our concerns as we routinely take our boys in for grooming and absolutely never have we ever experienced this... Reviewing the markings, you'll notice they probably rushed to get out by closing and used excessive force when running the deshedding process as his coat came out uneven and there are red wounds / sores on various parts of the body. We were told to go to the vet and get proof that it was the fault of the groomer. Wifey and I asked to see the tools and shampoo used. Looking at them you'll noticed they are damaged and due for replacement. Our pup wouldn't have uneven hair like this and chunks missing if they'd taken more intentional time with our boys instead of rushing the job since closing time was around the corner.... Don't schedule clients then if you can't uphold quality. As a dog parents, these guys really let us down, and as clients they really didn't console or take any ownership here. Bottom line our boys came in unscathed and one left with multiple wounds and we left with no apology and a 125$ grooming bill I expressed I didn't want to leave a negative review... However the fact that we had to pay for this type of negligence and unsatisfactory of an experience is one thing, but the also that we on top of that were told that if we are unhappy, go to the vet and get us proof that it was our fault... warrants a need for us to write this lengthy, descriptive review as respectfully, we are very unhappy with the experience and very unhappy with their lack of empathy for new customers and loving dog owners. I get that you have to be diplomatic and not take fault when it comes to protecting your business interests...but dude come on it's obvious this was due to improper technique and a rushed job. We wish the business the best, but would not recommend them at this point. It hurts to post this as again we are small business owners as well and believe in business karma... But bottom line, just really unhappy and sad with how our baby Kuzma came out of missing hair, with wounds and shaking after his first session. Not an exaggeration. Our baby was SHAKING when he got into the car. He's a spoiled brat who usually loves the groomer lol. Update - After reading the response of the owner... I'm feeling pretty disappointed. Your use of legal dialogue denounces any ownership of mistake or mishandling. I am not here to create drama. I'm here to provide honest feedback to hopefully improve a breakdown in service that could happen again. Feedback is always valuable as a business unless taken personally and it's an opportunity to learn and improve a lemon situation with a lemonade outcome. The irony is, with how logical & experiential your response is when it comes to justifying how much you know about my dogs breed, You'd think at MINIMUM you'd disclaim and let us know ahead of time these things can happen Or avoid the process with a first time client. Zero expectations were brought forth to our attention prior to engaging with your services and zero empathy for an unhappy dog parent. Again we routinely go to groomers, Yours however is the first our dog has ever come back with issues like this. Happy to privately provide you with the name of the groomer we use to take him to who's now just to far for us. But again, zero issues even with defurmination process. DO NOT BRING YOUR FURR BABIES HERE It saddens me to write a review like this, because a year ago I vouched for Ironmaya Pet Grooming, wrote nice reviews about them and have been a loyal customer with them from Day 1; when they first opened. Not sure what changed within their company, maybe they have hired new groomers, but the groomers they have now grooming our fur babies NEED TO BE RE-EVALUATED and/or FIRED. I had my mother take my two dogs in for a regular grooming service first thing in the morning when they open at 9:30am. They told her it would take 2 to 3 hours. Two and a half hours past and I did not hear from them, so I called to check on their well-being. The receptionist informed me that my Yorky, Cheeto did really good. He was all finished up and now they're working on Luna, my Maltese, whom she said was very matted and asked for permission for them to shave her in which I approved of . BOTH of my dogs sustained bad injuries. Mind you I was NOT notified about these injuries when I called to check to see how their grooming services went, the receptionist in the front desk or a groomer, Whoever I spoke with told me that they did great. They only told me that my Maltese; Luna was very matted so they had to shave her down in which I was OK with. What I was NOT OK with was them leaving her leaving multiple lesions all over her private area where she was NOT matted. What I was also NOT OK with was the severe cut that my 3lb teacup Yorkie; Cheetoh has in his growing area that seems to be infected. When my mother went to pick them up my poor Yorkie; Cheetoh looked traumatized, a look that he has never given us before. His behavior at home was also unusual not his normal happy lively self, but rather timid and seem to be very down, which raised a lot of concerns for me. After years of being a loyal customer with Ironmaya pet groomer, It saddens me to say I will never be going back here again for my dogs grooming services. This is the first time I have brought my dog to Ironmaya Dog Salon in Diamond Bar, and I can't say enough positive comments on the professional quality of her grooming cut, the gentle care for my older female dog, and the overall ease of setting an appt, welcome reception upon arrival, and quick final payment system. I should have known this place was bad when my boyfriend and I took our two year old husky here on hopes of finding a groomer closer to home. Our dog has never been anxious about the groomers, until she went here. She was shaking and very mistrustful upon entering. The groomers took more than three hours with her, when typically other groomers only take an hour and a half. We called several times to ask if she was ready and they kept saying she was still wet. When she was finally finished with her appointment, she hadn't been de-shedded well and she came back with itchy red paws. The itchy paws ended up becoming a bacterial infection that took us several and expensive vet bills to treat. We won't be returning here and would rather drive longer to our old groomers.
