Moore Mechanical was hired to do the HVAC on our new build. From the start I should have known.: 1. The in-floor 1/2" tubing job they did for in-floor radiant heat was awful. My kids could have done a better job. It was so bad that the concrete guys wouldn't pour until they cleaned it up. 2. The manifold for the install was sideways and at ground level. Upon completion the use of multiple PEX connections within an 18" span is just lazy poor workmanship. They kept coming back to refill the lines for the pressure test so that it would pass inspection when they knew there was a leak but chose to not fix it. 3. Two techs left the job with a known water leak from a copper pipe for the day with water leaking into another room and under the tub. When I called to complain the gentleman on the phone (I believe he said his name was Steffen) he was nothing but defensive of their poor work. He finally admitted to not being aware of the job but never backed down from making excuses for their poor labor practices. 4. Evaporator coil drain line was hooked up improperly causing a backup and draining to the floor. They came out and fixed it and admitted to their mistake on this one. No complaints for admitting fault and making this item right. The majority of the time you would get a different tech out working on the job who would sometimes admit that they had no clue where on the job they were coming to "pickup where someone else left off". NO MOORE MECHANICAL......find an actual reputable company who takes pride in their work and stands behind it. Jeremy and a trainee came and completed a work order I submitted on a leaky valve in the basement, took out and replaced a new dishwasher and hooked up the water tube to the back of a new refrigerator. Both extremely professional, courteous just down right damn good guys. They both put booties on there shoes so not to dirty the floors. The job was completed correctly they then cleaned up any water on the floor, they removed all boxes and placed the old dishwasher in back of my truck. I'm glad I didn't let the negative reviews sway my decision to hire Moore Mechanical. Thanks to Jeremy and team it's nice to receive this professional and knowledgeable service in this day and age we are living in. read more

I had them fix an exterior hose bib faucet that was leaking. They charged $130 service fee which was not applied to the cost of the work. They are supposed to give you a cost after they inspect the problem, and stick to that cost, it was my understanding. But the cost shifted after I said to go ahead. They spent about 45 minutes to replace the exterior faucet and said they were charging me $175 per hour. They refused to break the cost into parts and labor. It was all lumped into one. Back-calculating, they must have charged me $195 for a part that would cost $25 at Home Depot, roughly a 700 percent markup. And on top of that, they don't patch or paint the wall where they cut into it, so now I have to pay someone else to do that. Spent $500 to Moore Mechanical, and now I still have to pay a dry walker and a painter to patch it up? So, maybe I will spend $1000 by the time I am done to fix a leaky hose bib? I feel gouged!!! read more

Service light was on for the whole house Generac. Called and they told me they were qualified to service this unit. Tech came out and recommended a tune-up on the unit. I agreed and service was completed. Several days later light comes on again. They come out and now it's determined that the starter is somehow faulty. I agree again and the starter is replaced. Several days later light on again. Back out they come and tell me that although the battery tests ok I need a new one. I (hesitantly) agree and the battery is replaced. They are trying to charge me for 3 separate service visits and I have to argue with them this is the SAME problem repeatedly. Light comes on for the 4th time and I call a Generac certified technician in Caddilac. He discovers a faulty wire that he replaces and solves my problem permanently. We had an awful problem with a backup on at one of our rental houses on a Sunday in between check ins with only a few hours to react. We called Moore and they responded immediately and showed up in less than 45 minutes. Andy was extremely professional and diagnosed the issue quickly and got it resolved. We were on a maintenance plan and had the spring service done on our air conditioner, which had been working great beforehand. The next day, our house would not cool down. We called and were told they could not come out to look at it for another 5 days, which we told them was not acceptable. They eventually came out that afternoon and told us our Freon was low and the connector they use to check it during service, was loose. They still are trying to charge us for the freon that they leaked. When I called to tell them we weren't paying that bill, they said I needed to complete a "dispute form", which I reluctantly completed. I just received an email from them stating they're reviewing it and will let me know their decision. I will update my review after their 'decision', but I've already decided I'll take my business elsewhere! read more

We are looking for a maintenance plan yearly for our furnace and AC. We own 2 homes. This company said they offer them but when u call the office tell them that. I did tell the office person this was a maintenance plan and shouldn't of been charged the $69 service call fee. We weren't present as the tech let there selve in with our keypad. He charged our cc on file. I left several messages to get this refunded! Does any one know a company that charges a yearly fee to check our furnace before winter and AC in spring? I'm glad that we were able to have same day service and the job was completed by a nice guy who did a good job. However, as I scrutinized my bill, I found that I paid $1155 for a pressure tank that I saw only costs $300, A Well Trol WX 202. I don't mind paying for the work but up-charging almost 4 times the price for a part is inexcusable. read more

Had them come out to fix a small leak. After I rearranged my entire schedule, they called me the morning of and canceled my appointment. Apparently, they have 1 plumber for my service area! When he did show up, he made the small leak into a bigger one and charged close to $500 to replace a ptrap. He left debris in our basement. He never cleaned out the tub and found out he used some of my own tools. He obviously never checked the repair before he left. I wasn't able to be there during the repair due to a scheduling conflict. Moore Mechanical took forever to get someone back out and make the proper repair. The 2 guys that came out were not happy with the previous plumber or his "repair." They had it fixed in about 45 minutes. These two were great and professional! The problem was a simple fix, yet Moore did nothing to discount the job nor apologize for the problems and damages we encountered as a direct result of their first plumber' ineptitude! Go elsewhere it's not worth the heache or hassle. As of this posting, Moore has still not reached out to follow up! read more

Service mech knew nothing about fixing a simple shower valve. After 4 hrs figuring it out then another 2 hrs to fix. Then a heavy bill followed. Wish I would of talked to my local neighbors first they had the same experience way over priced and unqualified personal. read more

They charged me $988.00 to replace a rough in valve for one I damaged while doing a remodel. Its about a 50 dollar part at home depot and on the receipt they charged me over 800 dollars for it. I dont mind paying for services but this is absolutely ridiculous. Buyer beware. They knew I had to get this done in order for a new tenant to move in and absolutely took advantage of the situation. They did give me a new handle and spout as well but the entire trim kit with the valve is about $150.00 read more

Twenty years of great service! Twenty years ago Moore Mechanical installed a furnace and water heater in my house. About ten years ago when the furnace stopped working on a Friday night in the middle of winter, their technician arrived within two hours, diagnosed the problem, and replaced a circuit board with a board he had in the truck! Last week, again during the winter, I had an issue with my furnace and a technician diagnosed the problem (a blown circuit breaker on the circuit board) over the phone! We had heat after I drove to the local auto-parts store, bought a new circuit breaker, and installed it. What great service! read more

We had the unfortunate experience of contracting Moore Mechanical to put a drain on my Mom's sump pump. Mind you the drain installation was 6 years ago in September 2013. They installed a perforated socked drain pipe through my Mom's front yard to drain the sump pump. My Mom lives in the woods as many folks do up here and now the drain pipe is filled with roots and is backing up. I contacted Moore and Jennica who answered the phone was nice and professional but when I spoke to Ron (maybe Rod) he stated that there was nothing that they could do and they don't have the equipment to put in rock and a different drain system. He stated that it's been 6 years and that they didn't know the pipe would fill that fast. I don't think paying $900 every 6 years is acceptable and I just wish Moore would have had the decency to decline the job in the first place since they could not do it properly.
