My son decides to pick up one of the little grout samples and the Asian lady says, "Kids, let's not touch." I took that as an opportunity to ask questions and I got short and condescending answers. In that moment, I knew my pregnant self was going to blow so I grabbed my kids and decided to skiddaddle. I marched right up to the lady at the desk and asked why I wasn't helped until my child touched something. She said, "I'm sorry" and pointed at her computer. We had a slight misunderstanding (on my part) on day 1, but the installation team worked with me to get the project back on track. Despite my not being on site during the job, they did a great job. The work was great. They cleaned up like they had never been there, and the attention to detail (corner work, alignment of seams, etc) was exceptional. Very respectful of the house as well. In the store, Randi did a great job in helping me spec out what I needed and my options. I will say that I had a competitive bid, and USST was about 10% less... but it wasn't just price. We are so impressed by this place. Although they have more limited stone options especially when…read moreyou look at the front showroom where a lot of the stone says sold out, we found a stone design that worked well for our kitchen renovation project by looking at the larger stone slabs in the back. Since we came with a diagram and measurements of the slabs ready, we received a quote on the spot, and we were shocked that the quote was about half the price of a nearby competitor and a fraction of the price of estimates for stone and installation online. They were very accommodating and super helpful generally. Once we paid for the stone in person a few weeks later, we went to the back to choose the 3 slabs. They were helpful in telling us which slabs might not be as nice considering we wanted smaller patterns. Then on the day of our kitchen renovation, the men who came to cut and sand the stone in our kitchen and took the whole day. They were really careful and made sure it fit perfectly.
