Feeling really really stupid that I didn't look at reviews before purchasing because there are several people having the same problem and obviously this company doesn't give a rip about their customers or the quality of their products. I would imagine that if you spend time talking to a sales person who takes your dimensions and helps you understand what you are going to receive, that you would then receive that thing in the mail. Shayn took my order and I made sure to give her the correct measurements for this "made to order" insert. I double checked that everything was correct and when it arrived, it was 6 inches too short. With the inserts that they sent, it just barely fit and was very very janky. All for $571 dollars! First, they sent the wrong instructions and included some random extra parts instructions for another product. The extensions were bent and didn't fit appropriately into the dog door. And the most important thing THE DOG DOOR INSERT THAT I MEASURED AND DOUBLE CHECKED WAS ABOUT 6 INCHES TOO SHORT. How the hell does that happen? When I called to tell them about the issue, you could tell that others have complained because there was immediate attitude. They said that I would have to eat the shipping cost and pay to return it. Also there is a 16% restocking fee. Which meant, after spending $571 dollars I would get around $122 back and the hassle of having to send them this bent POS dog door that looks terrible in my patio door. I sure wish I would have searched for reviews prior to purchasing my pet door from Moore Pet Supply. When one of my flaps failed due to a "Pinch Point", I found a few things out. 1) The pinch point is a design flaw that Moore is aware of, but continues to include it in the product to control cost and encourage additional purchase. 2) The warranty period of the door in pretty much in line with the expected failure of the flap forcing customers to pay more for the better engineered replacement part. 3) Moore has no real customer support or service hence their poor rating and reviews. Initially, I wondered why their products were not available on eBay, Amazon and other etailers and I figured it out. Neither eBay or Amazon allows sellers to be that slow, that sloppy and that dismissive of customers. For all I know, they tried both and were disqualified. When I placed my order on September 3rd, I never would have expected that a door flap would not have shipped 30 days later. When I reached out to Brandy, the National Sales Manager, she told me she would get me an update of why my order took so long. This should have taken 2 hours, not 2 weeks. The only reason I got an answer was due to a formal complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. She tried to blame covid, but I and millions of others go to work every day and if you make a proprietary product, you are under-serving the community by not keeping stock, making stock or providing a level of service worthy of praise. Moore had the chance to be a hero, but they chose to be a zero, now I am going to keep my commitment of posting a new review weekly until I have a 100% refund on my entire purchase. Despite the bad reviews for this store, I bought an in-window pet door. It was the custom dimensions one, and the only one I could find that would work for my needs. The product arrived fairly quickly, within a week or two. The product is well made and high quality, and installation was easy. I'm confused as to the other bad reviews here because everything went so well for me. One reason is perhaps that ppl didn't measure their window or door correctly. Order placed on 1/10/2023 with expedited shipping. On 1/18/2023 I still do not have my order. I called and spoke with manager Ryan who let me know that the order wasn't even started until 1/16 and will probably go out today. "You're not the only one who places orders and it takes time to build these pet doors". I explained that nowhere on the website does it say it takes over a week to build in addition to them then also ensuring the package is picked up by UPS. Over this timeframe I spoke with at least 3 people who were all very flippant and quite honestly could give a shit that this is a really bad customer experience. BTW, take a look at Better Busines Bureau, there are tons of complaints. Shame on me for not looking at that first. If you don't care about customer service and when you will get your order for quite an expensive doggy door, then by all means use them. Would give negative stars if I could. I ordered 32 guillotine doors from this company. 30 of them were regular size and two of them were extra large. They are for a boarding kennel I am renovating and it is a construction site. I did not open the boxes when they arrived so I could keep everything together in one place. Upon installation I realized they made the mistake of not sending the slide bars for the extra large doors. No biggie...we all make mistakes and I figured I would call and they would more than happily fix their screw-up. I am now being told that I had 10 days to inspect the product- per the invoice...that I never received. They are now REFUSING to supply what I paid for. Don't give this crap company your business or your money. The doors are of no use without the slides...that they erroneously did not send. I guess I'm lucky because I never ordered any products from Moore Pet supply! I stumbled across the name looking for "Microchip Dog Doors". I called and spoke to, I assume, a customer service rep who gave his name as "Soren". The gentleman was very pleasant as well as helpful-in the beginning-and seem to be going out of his way with advice! End of first call... After gathering some more information from "Handyman" services, I still needed two (2) more questions answered to place the order. When I called Moore Pet Supplies again I was told that Soren had just stepped out and would be right back. They took my cell number and promised he would call me as soon as he returned-it was now 4:45 PM MDT! I waited until 5:45 PM and placed a second call to Moore Pet Supply. Soren answered this time and this time the atmosphere became changed to: some what less than courteous and to a degree monosyllabically! I did not expect this nor see it coming-like sunshine to rain-I was left some what confused. I inquired about the remaining questions and he replied "he didn't have any answers." I asked if I could order the door over the phone from him? NO, the system was down. Could I order it online. NO, the system was down! Was there any way I could talk to him (Soren) again to order the door? YES, "he would call me first thing in the AM as soon as he got in to work." I thank him for all of his help even though I wasn't convinced that he would be calling based on the enormous difference between the AM conversation and the PM. it was as if he (Soren) wanted to create a dichotomy between us! Fast forward the next morning 8:30 AM, No call-it is 9:30 CDT in WI. Slow forward the rest of the day. This company has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in 50 years! Placed an order, have clicked on the "check order status" link and it says "waiting for fulfillment". Called and was told it takes 24-48 hours for customer service to respond. Was also told that the numerous messages through chat and their contact us did not appear on the account, therefore, to them it was the first time contact. Was told to go to the "shipping, returns, & policies" link and then click the "order status" link which just kept making me log in and taking me absolutely nowhere. I'm not sure what all of these negative reviews are about, but my experience with Moore Pet Supplies has been amazing! This is a great company with a great group of products! The quality is much much better than any other product I have seen out there. The products are metal vs. plastic and the security and efficiency provided by the door surpasses any other experiences I have had with other doors. Go Moore!! I purchased the Security Boss MaxSeal wall mount pet door. I am very happy with my doggy door...and so are my doggies!! It was well worth the extra money I spent for the quality of product I received. I am also happy that I can replace parts of the door as needed without having to replace the entire door. This door also looks so much better than the previous door I had (which was a total eyesore and an embarrassment)! I even installed this door myself and it was fairly straightforward and easy to install. The only thing is you need to do measure your opening correctly to make sure you order the right size door. If you measure right, you shouldn't have any problems. And someone mentioned the replacement flaps costing a fortune...well, I wouldn't consider $120 every year or two a fortune, but to each his/her own. After 2 days and 3 phone calls finally got the number. Then read the return policy which was spelled out in the email. 16% restocking fee is imposed and I have to pay return shipment. I admit that I should have measured but based off of the guide and my dog's breed, provided by the website, the company recommended a large door. The door itself was $205, plus shipping and tax, my total came out to be around $250 We received the door in 4 days but when we opened it up, we realized it was too large. I called the company to explain what happened and if I could return for a medium size. The customer service individual I spoke with advised that my ONLY course of action was the following 1. Purchase (NOT RETURN) a MEDIUM SIZED DOOR for $170 + Shipping +Tax 2. DO a separate return for the LARGE DOOR (With the catch being I had to pay the RETURN SHIPPING, and a RESTOCKING FEE) What that means for me is in order to return my door and get the proper Size I have to spend MORE money to buy the new door, then spend roughly $75 to ship back my old door, and then pay a 16% restocking fee. Then and only then will I be issued the refund for the door that was too large (yet recommended by the company) I explained my frustration to the customer service representative and her explanation for the restocking fee was even more insulting than their bogus prices/policies. The first explanation she gave me was that it is a manufacturer charge because it is a "customer dog door" which is total BS - it's a standard size door they keep in stock. The second explanation, she tells me, which is more likely the truth - is to help recoup money from customers that are cheap and return the more expensive items and then turn around and buy cheaper products. Here is a total cost break down of what I would have paid to Moore Pet Supplies if I had returned the original door back. Standard Large Door + tax & shipping - $243 Replacement - Standard Medium Door + tax & shipping - $215 Return Shipping of Large Door - $75 16% Restocking fee of Large Door - $40 Total paid to Moore = $445 = [$573 spent - refund of approx.: $128] Moral of the story - I am in in a $170 doggie door for more than double the selling price. I wish I would have read the reviews on Yelp prior to ordering. Horrible customer service. I ordered a "custom dog door" I gave them my measurement. Prior to agreeing to the order to have it made I called and spoke to their customer service gal. She told me that the dog door would actually be adjustable, 80-93 3/4" range. Perfect I thought as we measured the door @ 91" (they had that specific measurement). A week later and the dog door arrives. It has an extension panel that is 13 3/4 inches, Guess what DOOR does not fit. Why because its not a range door, the extension panel is custom made. Called spoke with several people explained the situation, they gave me the # of the actual manufacture, and you know what they told me? That Moorepet supply gave them the wrong measurement. I had to have another custom panel made at and additional price of $70.00 plus shipping. Still have not heard back from Moorepet's manager that promised me a call back. Well I checked my credit card account and I had been charged early that day. I should be refunded at 100% for the product and the return postage paid to send the product back to Moore Pets. And I shouldn't have to wait 30 days to receive my refund. The door was received by them on July 23rd. I still have not received my refund. Their website states the door I ordered normally ships in 4-5 business days so I ordered the door on June 28th expecting the door to be shipped by July 8th at the latest due to the 4th of July holiday unless informed otherwise. I needed the door installed no later than July 16th. Once I placed the order no one contacted me via email or by phone to let me know that it would take longer to receive the door as stated on their website so I assumed I would receive it on time. When I did not receive a shipping email within the time frame specified on their website, I called on July 12th to find out the status of my shipment. I was told by a manager it would be shipped on July 16th. I told her I needed it no later July 16th for installation so I asked to cancel the order. She then said she could overnight it on July 15th and I would receive it the morning of July 16th. I agreed since I would have it in time to install. UPS failed to deliver on July 16th so I went to a local store to purchase a dog door and had it installed prior to receiving their door. The package was delivered the next day. I tried to refuse the package as the manager stated I could because I didn't receive it in the timeframe the website states or the manager state and I didn't want to be responsible for shipping on an item I didn't open or need anymore. UPS said Moore Pets would have to provide a return label. Moore Pets refused to do so, so I ended up paying $38.20 to return the item myself. Moore Pets refused to cover the cost of the return even though the dog door wasn't delivered as promised on the website or by the manager. Instead I was told Moore Pets is not responsible for UPS not delivering on time. Moore Pets is also requiring me to adhere to their return policy even though they aren't following their delivery time frame listed on their website. They are requiring me to wait 30 days to receive 85% of what I paid for the door. They are keeping a 15% restocking fee for an item they didn't deliver on time. I understand Moore Pets does not have control over UPS delivery schedules however Moore Pets is responsible for getting the product to the customer on time. If the product was shipped well in advance around the original ship date (July 8th) it would not have been affected by UPS late delivery. read more

Despite all the negative reviews I personally had a good experience with with Moore Pet. I ordered a saloon style dog door to go in my garage door. They have a 7 to 10 business day lead time as they build to order. They had my door built in 7 days and and shipped out to my house for a total of 9 days. I thought that was pretty good considering they build it from scratch. I had our contractor install the dog door and it works perfectly. It was a pricey door as I have Great Danes and I needed the largest door they offered BUT, it was after doing much research the best bang for my buck. Our contractor had told us when buying one of these doors it was important to have as many secure points as possible on the door. If I recall right most of the competitors had only 4 screws holding the dog door on and ours has 12. Our dogs don't mind the door and are doing well with it! Terrible experience. There's a reason why people basically buy everything on Amazon today. I bought containment gates through Moore Pet Supplies for my cancer-stricken dog because she was having accidents everywhere. Unfortunately, things turned terribly for her within 24hrs of my order. Devastating to us she had to be put down. I called Moore to cancel the order but they said the gates had already been shipped (hmmm...I guess that was possible). About a week or so later I received the gates. Moore had given me a RMA return number and warned me that there would be a 20% restocking fee (assumed refund of 0.8 x $93.54 = $74.83). I promptly re-shipped the items back using FedEx Ground (surprisingly cheaper than FedEx) for about $62. And so, in my mind, I'm thinking that I'm going to net $13 ($74.83 - $62) by shipping them back. Fast forward almost four months - I call Moore looking for my refund. They look into and ultimately send me a check for $44.69 (instead of the $74.83 after restocking fee). I called for an explanation and was told that they deducted their original shipping cost along with the restocking fee. I told them that I was made aware of the 20% restocking/extortion fee by the rep giving the RMA number but nothing about having to pay for some undisclosed shipping fee incurred by them. Long and the short is that I ended up paying (original cost $93.54 + $62 shipping - $44.69 "refund" = $110.85) for the pleasure of having to package and re-send brand new, never opened items back to a vendor that could resell them immediately for full price. Had I known that I would be stiffed an extra $17 to send them back I would have donated them to a local dog rescue. Back to my original point. It might be a sweet old notion to want to do with business with a mom & pop operation like this but be wary of the ramifications. I would like to do more business with non-Amazon companies but experiences like this just point to why you should always make your purchases though Amazon. I'm sure Moore isn't some mean company they're just incompetent and hassle-prone. Think about it - I paid $110 for absolutely nothing and had to hunt down my "refund" or it would have been more like $155. Lesson learned! read more

My handyman who has installed many a doggie door says that it is the best he has seen -- well made, an exact fit, and very weather proof and durable. The trick is having your handyman do the measurements and talk directly with the company so questions can be answered and no mistakes made. Sounds like some folks had to make returns and this will hopefully make this unnecessary. Candace was knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. I've used Moore-pet several times over many years. They used to be a good company, but they've switched to inferior products and an up-sell sales force. I have purchased five different dog doors over a 10 year period. The door I purchased 10 years ago is still going strong. A few years ago, they switched to poorly made inferior products and the last two doors were horrible. Customer service was also horrible. I purchased an expensive screen door that is very poorly made. Within days, it had slammed on both of my dogs and broke their tails. I called Moore-pet and advised them of the problem with the Security Boss product they were promoting and they basically said..."too bad." They offered to sell me a different door for over $200. Do not do business with Moore Pet products or Owens aluminum crate. Charged me $160 to ship the dog crate via Fedex freight from Owens. Door to crate was bent/damaged unuseable. Damage was hidden so was not discovered until i took cardboard off. No one takes responsibility - Owens, Fedex nor Moore Pet products and have me running around copying paperwork, filling out forms, submitting pictures. I am out almost $600 and have a crate that is a piece of junk!!!!!!!! Run, do not do business with companies that do not stand behind their products. There are other good choices for pet needs online and this is NOT it! What happened: I ordered 2 replacement flaps for my pet doors from these flakes. Their website showed me the details for the EXACT replacement part I needed. I was looking for an Ideal Ruff Weather 10 x 17 replacement flap and their site gave me all the information on that exact part. So I followed the link on that page to make my purchase. It took me to another page that showed a range of sizes for Ideal pet door products that translated the measurements into names. Small, Medium, Extra Large, and Super Large. Mine translated into an Extra Large so I placed the order for 2. What arrived was a part that was 2 inches TOO SHORT for my pet door. I contacted Moore and they explained that I ordered an Ideal Extra Large, when I needed an Ideal Ruff Weather Extra Large. I told them I have a Ruff Weather, I know that I have a Ruff Weather, and that is EXACTLY WHAT I ORDERED, If I got the wrong part it was the site or the shipper than sent the wrong part. I objected to paying for the return shipment for a part I did not order in the first place and my messages were completely ignored by Moore. So it looks like I am stuck with their RMA process, the additional charges, and a prayer that they will repeat this exersize into infinity. Do yourself a favor and avoid this waste of time and money by staying away from this unprofessional company. Don't spend your money. these door are too expensive and my cats won't even use it. the flap is too heavy and they don't like to go through it. I paid the cost of having it installed in the wall. So now I'm stuck with it. I called them and Cameron who promised to help me never returned my call. I've wasted my money on this and now I'm stuck with it in my wall...nice. Horrible Customer service, Whitney was extremely rude to me. I am trying to figure out why I have to pay a restocking fee, for a product that has a manufacture defect. Terrible! Office manager is rude, cancelled my $600.00 because item did not ship when I was told it was.. paid $195 for overnight shipping and it never shipped when it was supposed to. They blamed me for "misunderstanding" but I wouldn't have ordered if I knew I wasn't getting it the next day, exactly why I called to place my order over the phone..... smh. Moore pet has a pattern of removing poor reviews of their products from their website. I bought a Staywell automatic dog door from them on May 5th 2008, by August 5th I had had 5 of the infra red collar tags fail. Staywell replaced them under warrantee. My review of the door indicating my problems with reliability was removed several times from Moore Pet's website, leaving only older positive reviews. Just today 8-12-2008 the last review of mine was removed and dates were changed on some older reviews to make it seem as if they were recent. This indicates a totally fraudulent mindset in their business practices of this company and would warn anyone to stay far far away from this company. read more

I always read reviews before buying anything...but this time I didn't and I am sorry. I ordered the retractable gate to keep my Llapso Alpso small dog contained at night. We installed and put it on lock once in position and every night she crawled out under the gate. I called the company and the girl said that they have had many complaints that it happens. I asked her what can I do as I paid $140.00 for the gate and wanted it to do its job. She said..."Put a piece of wood at the bottom". Wow...I said that isn't a solution. That is all they have to suggest. Also I was informed that I can't return it as it is used. I said how would I know if it fit and if it worked..if I didn't try it. She said no and I also found if it is new and never out of packaging that is a 20% restocking fee plus original shipping and you are responsible for costs in returning. Please don't order from them if you are unsure if it is correct as you can't return it. I would never order from them as they do not know how to treat and help a customer. It is their way...or no way. So I have to figure out how to use my $140.00 investment and my dog stills gets out and wanders the house. Very disappointed and will never consider them again. I will order from Amazon as they care. No wonder Amazon is so successful as they consider the customer valuable!!!!! Goodbye Moore Pet Supplies!!! read more
