Moore Pet Supplies and Security Boss Pet doors seem to be the same business, so will post here. My experience hasn't been much better, but the dog doors to work. In purchasing the items Security was ever so wonderful and helpful. AFTER they came, not so much. I paid around $600 for a huge dog door for my huge dog. It is one that is installed in a slider. Then bought one for wall installation. BOTH of the slide & lock doors are cheaply made. I complained a couple of times about how very expensive the doors were to have such cheaply made doors and would like new doors. NO ANWER. One quick kick would do either of them in. Both were warped when I received them. The plastic one is curved so won't fit in the slot. The fiber/cardboard one keeps coming apart. I decided I wanted to replace the three flaps (one has two) and contacted Moore and Security Boss. NO ONE FROM EITHER SITE RETURNED MY EMAILS. I called and left messages. NO ONE FROM EITHER SITE RETURNED MY CALLS. All I wanted to do was purchase the extra flaps, hopefully in a darker color, yet I could not get in touch. BAD, BAD, BAD CUSTOMER SERICE. read more

I purchased a replacement flap for a flap that had warped after a couple of years of use. Not only was it extremely expensive (thanks to added shipping costs), but the magnet on the frame won't hold it closed. Now the slightest breeze allows cold air to rush into the home during the winter, and I expect to have to pay extra for air conditioning this summer to make up for the hot air that will be blowing in. They tried to upsell me to the $300 maxseal door. After my own experience, and the other reviews here, I've decided to go with a Hale door instead. Thank goodness for third-party reviews... knowing how this company does business has kept me from throwing good money after bad. read more

Piece of junk products for high prices! BUYER BEWARE!!

In March of 2012, I purchased a double flap Security Boss Max Seal pet door to replace an already existing pet door that had only one flap which had become badly warped. Due to the size of this pet door which was made to accommodate dogs up to 150 lbs, the house was always drafty. My new Security Boss Max Seal pet door was conveniently custom made to fit the already existing hole in the door. Before placing my order, customer service was very good at answering all my questions and concerns. Soon, my new pet door arrived at my home via UPS in good condition and it fit well. Although I felt this door was rather pricey, my electric bill significantly went down and it soon paid for itself. I now view this pet door as a worthwhile investment in my home. It's now March 2017 and after five years of use, the only thing I've had a problem with is that there is some warping on the bottom edge of both flaps. However, there is an easy fix for this. I used some chain link fence aluminum tie wraps and cut them to fit between the metal clips along the bottom of both flaps. I taped them in place with some good tape and the flaps now have nice straight edges that close and seal quite well. This modification had no affect on the way the flaps work and my three dogs never even noticed that anything had been done. On the plus side, the flaps have maintained clarity and flexibility over the years. This pet door does have the protection of a large covered porch which may have helped and I also live in a state that doesn't tend to have severe hot or cold weather. . Warped flaps is the only thing that I've found fault with and considering the price of this product, I feel that the flaps should be made to be more durable. In fact, I think that it would be a good design improvement if the flaps could be made with continuous support along the edges, especially the bottom edges. read more

Quality products and good service. They are available by phone to answer questions and are knowledgeable and helpful.

This merchant will not accept returns or exchanges of anything that has been removed from the box--even if dead on arrival, their shipping error (another's experience) or not as advertised. The 30-day return policy is useless except maybe for a wrong order. I had to dispute my credit card charge. Manufacturer would repair or replace if damaged, but I must pay shipping to return the product to the manufacturer and return the substitute product they will send me to fill the hole in my wall left by the DOA/NAA product. Mine was not installable in certain circumstances not revealed in advertising and apparently dead on arrival. read more

Do not order from this company!!! I ordered a cat window door on August 12th that was supposed to be delivered within 7-10 business days. I received an email on August 25th that they were having trouble with the shipment and would let me know when it is ready. On September 2nd, I had enough and tried to cancel the order. That wouldn't let me because now it has been shipped and I hadn't cancelled it. I didn't cancel it because I was still expecting it any day. I still don't have it. It will not arrive until the 5th. Now, if I want to return it, I have to pay for the return shipping (and this is not a light package) They did absolutely nothing to make up for any of this. They are horrible!!!! read more

Would love to give a "negative star" rating, if that were possible. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company at all. Looking at other reviews, I am sensing a trend. I ordered a door panel to fit my sliding patio door. It was way bigger than my door (I measured the door and all that. I've purchased other door panels with no problems in the past). I sent the door back in the original packaging--same styrofoam corner protection, same bubble wrap, same box. They claimed that it was damaged in shipping (see the trend?). They said they left messages for me to file a claim with fedex, but I don't have any messages. So when I called to get the status of my refund, they said there isn't one because I never filed a damage claim with fedex. I am still in the middle of this debacle. The customer service is horrible. I will never order from them again, and would recommend avoiding them completely. read more

do not buy from this company/return policy is a rip off.Purchased a doggie door 04/13/15 and door did not fit properly.Returned door @ shipping cost of $59.They received returned door on 04/21 /15.They called me on 04/27/15 and said door had a mark on it.did not issue a refund of $225.00.Door could have been marked up in the warehouse in that 7 day time frame.They do not want to give refunds to customers.Very shady outfit to deal with over internet.High shipping costs to return items. read more

If you try to return a pet door to Moore's Pet Suppy, BEWARE! I ordered a small window insert pet door for my cat. No sooner received the door and had to euthanize my cat for an illness. Called Moore's Pet Supplies to return the pet door and explained to them that I never even opened the shipping carton and wanted to return the door. They very precisely told me I had to open the carton, look at the door and make sure it wasn't damaged and it may take up to 30 days after they receive it to get my refund. The door was was in excellent condition and not damaged at all during shipping, but I did what they told me and opened the box. The door was nicely sealed with packing material so I didn't disturb that, everything looked good. I sealed the box up and sent it back. A week later I get a phone call and they said the door was damaged, had a scratch on it and they were taking 40% off the return. I told them it was impossible the door was scratched, never even removed the packing material. Too bad, I could call and put in a claim to Fed Ex for a damaged parcel (which they couldn't have damaged either - are you listening Fed Ex???? - they want me to file a claim for something you did not do nor did I do). I haven't received my refund yet either, so they are definitely taking it to the full thirty days to refund the money. It is a racket. They will try to find something wrong with the item so they can keep some of the return. BEWARE!! read more

At this point, if I could give less than one star I would do that. I ordered a pet panel for a sliding glass door, but then changed my mind because I could not secure the door. I attempted to cancel the order, but learned it had already been shipped. I was instructed on how to return it with an RMA. The item was delivered by Fed Ex and sat on my porch, unopened and untouched, until Fed Ex picked it up the next day. The company now claims that the item was damaged when it was returned. They even claim that it appears the box was opened and re-taped. The claim is the corners are rounded and there is a scratch on the item, although their representative admits the shipping box was completely intact and undamaged. Given I never opened or even touched the box, I have no information as to the condition of the product at any point in time. I was told I needed to file a damage claim with Fed Ex, but I have refused given I cannot attest to the allegedly damaged condition to the item, nor do I know when the damage allegedly occurred (during shipping to me or during the return). At this point, the company has refused to credit my charge card pending my agreement to me filing a claim with Fed Ex. My IT guy was able to preserve all the video from my home security cameras from the point it was delivered to when it was picked up and that shows the box was not moved, altered, opened, etc. At this moment, I am waiting to hear whether the company is willing to refund my credit card for the purchase or whether I need to take it to a higher level (dispute the purchase with my credit card company).
