I called at 6:30 am to be towed to my mechanic for a dead battery. If I'd been towed, and the battery replaced, I could have made it to work on time. BUT - the person who answered said they didn't open until 8:00 am (even though ALL THEIR ADVERTISING & THEIR WEBSITE SAID 24 HOURS), and they could get someone to me by 9:00. I called back at 9:30 - and they had forgotten I was supposed to be towed. Carlos showed up just after 10:00 (yay Carlos!). Carlos was amazing. He hooked up my car and was a total champ about helping me get into his GINORMOUS truck (really - the first step was higher than my waist, there was no way I was going to be able to climb into that truck with both a mostly healed broken arm and a newly broken foot - don't ask, I live dangerously). When we got to the mechanic's, he jumped out and was ready to help my get out of his truck - because there was no way I could jump that far down with my broken foot. Super kudos to Carlos for going above and beyond! UR Towing did not provide Carlos with a way to receive payment. They had to text me a payment code, I paid immediately, and then they called less than 10 minutes after sending me the code to ask when I was going to pay them. I'd already paid them! I told them that, gave them the confirmation code I'd received, and told them I felt they treated their employees terribly because the driver didn't have the basic tools he needed to complete his job. I am not going to use UR Towing again because the company feels shady and under-handed, and I am not pleased that their employees have no method to take payment, that the switchboard (or owner, I don't know) calls the driver in the middle of a tow to have him go pick up some other car/person (couldn't tell which, wasn't my business, but I was right there and couldn't help hearing) - right then - even though they knew he was already towing a car and the only way he could tow a different car/pick someone else up was to dump my car - or me! - on the side of the road. It makes me wonder if he would have been forced to dump my car or me at the side of the road to get this other car/person, and then who knows what would have happened to my car - or to me? if I hadn't been in the truck with Carlos, what would they have done to make him divert from his current task? I could see how conflicted Carlos was and heard the pressure put on him to go get the pther car/person. Fortunately (I guess), Carlos' phone was not working well, and the call kept getting dropped, and Carlos kept driving towards my mechanic's, and by the time he got a good signal and was able to take the call, we arrived, so ethical dilemma solved. I would 100% have Carlos tow me again - he's Good People - but I am not using UR Towing and I am reluctant to recommend them.

We paid $4,000 for engine…read morereplacement and vehicle still has issues (have taken back numerous times only to get vehicle back with something else wrong). First when vehicle was returned us after engine replacement the a/c no longer worked (or held Freon) and still had same issues with hesitations and problems in engine. Was also told it would cost $300 to repair hose for a/c and Freon. Second time taken in for same issues we were told the mechanic had checked it and there was nothing wrong (have recording of phone calls) vehicle had white smoke coming from tailpipe and vehicle was overheating (even left me stranded on highway, vehicle would not hold water or coolant). Needless to say Connie and Jack's Auto Service have been unwilling to honor warranty and repair things that have been caused from engine repair. We took the vehicle to another certified mechanic shop (dealership) and so far have been informed of a misfire on cylinder 4 (old misfire on cylinder 6) and now (since the vehicle has been a paperweight killing grass) the hoses were not connected correctly when engine was replaced (which will cost another $1,050 at a dealership, not to mention the $300 to fix a/c, before they can check the rest of the "repair work" done by Jack's Auto Service). This vehicle has been very costly because "repairs" done by Jack's Auto Service and has left us without our vehicle (or stranded) since April 2020.

So I went with someone else, and I'm glad I did. So Allways is very hit-or-miss. Sometimes they are good and kind and sometimes they are rude and unhelpful. I have no clue what the difference was between the first time and the second time I called. I'm willing to give them more chances since the first time was so good. But honestly, if the second experience had been my first time with them, I would never call them again. With a 25 year old car, sometimes I will need towing. I know this, and I am willing to pay for it. But when you're spending well over $100 for a tow, you kinda expect a wee bit of politeness. They are ABSOLUTELY NOT 24 hour towing, either, depending on who you talk to. The first time, they asked if I wanted to pay the emergency tow charge or wait until rates dropped at 9:00 am. Since I knew my car would take a week to repair, I was willing to wait for the rates to drop to the daytime rate. The second time, I was totally willing to pay the night time tow charge, and was told point-blank they did not tow before 10:00 am, and they MIGHT be able to get to my place around 10:30. So, when you call, you're taking your chances on whether you get a polite person or a rude person. 9/28/23 - OK, cracked CV boot, going to try them for a 3rd time - let's see how it goes this time.
