A good little shack to hit up if you're driving along A1A and are in the mood for ice cream! I ended up stopping here just because of that reason and got a nice portion of mint cookies and cream ice cream in a cone. It was good, but nothing that was out-of-this world. Classic flavors are available and some interesting ones that change every now and then. Some examples are carrot cake, pistachio, or 'purple daze.' Service was quick, but can be a bit busy depending on how touristy the area is. For their menu, they also serve some other items out side of ice cream. This includes hot dogs, smoothies, and frozen drinks (blueberry raspberry or watermelon) as well. It's a good place for those times when you want to get something sweet on a nice and hot Florida day! read more

I love stopping at little roadside stands. I've never been to the Melbourne area and it's safe to say that I fell in love with it when we passed through last month! We saw Moo's and decided to stop for a hotdog and ice cream. The hotdogs were delicious and the ice cream was so creamy and so fresh. The workers there were very friendly and the vibe of the whole place was chill and laid-back. I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through, I know I'll be back whenever I'm back in the area. read more

So the boyfriend and I were out for a drive when I found moo's and went there solely because of the name. I mean maturity at its finest. This place is INCREDIBLE and they have more than just ice cream. They have soft served, hand scooped, hot dogs, etc. We split a sundae and had rocky road, carrot cake and mint cookies and OMG it was incredible!!! This place didn't disappoint and the cow theme was throughout the restaurant. I 100% suggest you do not pass up this gem!! read more

My family and I always come here when we are visiting Melbourne. Cute and fun little place that has awesome Icecream! We love all the cows everywhere haha. I definitely recommend coming here, especially with family. My favorite thing to get is just a simple double scoop of chocolate in a waffle cone. Can't ever go wrong with that! :) read more

Such a fun spot. And it's a rare find of a non-chain on the beach. My kids milked a cow, rode a mechanical horse and looked in a funny mirror. Best of all, we had awesome ice cream! They have carrot cake ice cream! And they let me sample it first and then I ordered it with caramel on top! Yummy! This is the cutest and quirkiest little spot I've ever been to for some ice cream and good ol coney dogs. What caught our eye was driving down the A1A and its painted like a cow with cow figurines evwrywhere. We pulled over and noticed the cool picnic table seating and the funny games you can play,like trying out milking a fake cow, lol. No, I didnt try but found it hilarious. We were in the mood for hotdogs so we went through the menu. We had to try the traditional coney dog which was a chili cheese dog with mustard and onions and bae had the kraut dog. We also ordered the chili cheese fries and a root beer to wash it all down. It was such a satisfying lunch before hitting the road. This place is also known for their ice cream and dessert treats. We noticed more people dropping by for the ice cream and shakes so it's a must when we come back to try an old fashioned vanilla ice cream for me and a definite get the tasty coney dog again. The order guy was so nice which made me think... I was optimistic about the food. YUCK. DARN. It was underwhelming sorry to say (see pics). I was really looking forward to my dog being drenched in delicious chili and cheese. NOT. The location is very fun right off the main drag...however, we smelled cow organic fertilizer when we were there(?) and there was a remote sound of moo-ing from a wooden cow which escaped me. My husband and I stopped here for ice cream after a day at the beach and it was an excellent experience. The ice cream was delicious, the place itself was so cute, and the service was amazing. Although I love ice cream, I try to avoid dairy as much as possible, and they accommodated really kindly and customized the banana split with a scoop of dairy free ice cream and no whipped cream for me, and the other two scoops as normal for my husband. Came here with some family and it was a great visit. It was a fresh day , around 74 degrees by the sea breeze. They were busy but they have a nice system where you order on one side and pick up on a completely seperate side. Best for dispersing the crowds . We had such a good experience here. Casual place with friendly staff and very kid friendly- lots of things to touch and explore. The kids loved the hot dogs and shaved ice. Previously gave this location 5 stars, but have to drop it down to 3. My family likes to get hurricanes when we come here, but since our first time there has been absolutely no consistency in what is actually in the hurricane. Different kinds of candy always seems to end up in your order. Example: orders a Oreo and cookie dough hurricane, but finds gummy bears and peanut butter cups inside. The last time we went there was barely any candy pieces at all, it was almost exclusively a cup of vanilla ice cream. We've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but seemingly 80% of the time if we are getting hurricanes they are incorrect and disappointing. If you just want normal ice cream scoops, that is still always great. read more

I had a dog with mustard and relish. It was like every other I've ever had. Nothing spesh. Their fries are air fried. They were really good. Made from fresh potatoes. I was too full to have ice cream. I'm assuming it was the best part of the place cause that's what everyone (there was a steady stream of people) was getting, but I was hungry for food, at the time. I'm staying close by while in town so I'll have ice cream there tomorrow. read more

A soft serve place that serves you with a smile... After dinner on Independence Day, we dropped into this place to enjoy some soft serve. The place was super busy but we found the drive through (a drive through!) to not be as bad. We ordered from caramel dipped cones to chocolate sundaes, to their version of a blizzard (they call theirs the Hurricane) and no one was disappointed. The best part of the stop was the kid who took our order - super friendly, super personable, and made the wait that much better once we got our chance to order. I definitely will want to drop by once more this summer but this time might just stop and get out... read more

Such a cute little local ice cream store. This was a car shop in another life and Moos revamped it and created a drive thru ice cream parlor. They have shakes, sundaes, malts, "hurricanes" (similar to DQ Blizzards), regular soft serve, and a little vanilla puppy cone for all your furry companions. The only downside is the wait. It's not terrible but in comparison to Twisty Treat, it's three times as slow. Would I go back? Ummm yeah! It's ice cream AND it's drive thru -- as in, I never have to take off my gym clothes. I enjoyed my chocolate matt but next time I want the hurricane. My boyfriend loved his sundae and our furry friend loved her puppy cone! read more

The staff was exceptionally peppy and engaging. I think she may have been an owner. Moo's has been a family favorite for years! We've only ever ordered ice cream, but it's so delicious. The drive thru is our favorite way to place an order. Sometimes there's a wait, but it's TOTALLY worth it! Every employee we've dealt with has been friendly and professional. My sons enjoy the vanilla hurricane with brownie and cookie dough mixed throughout. I don't eat dairy and absolutely love the watermelon sorbet. It's so flavorful and refreshing. I go here every time I visit my mother. She loves to take a drive down to the beach and sit watching the waves while enjoying her Moo's ice cream cup. Lots of options, and delicious soft serve with a drive through that I absolutely love!!! It's so convenient when traveling with an elderly parent. I also have never, EVER had bad customer service there. The workers there are young, to be sure, but they are polite, quick, helpful and courteous. read more

Wanted a quick hot dog as a snack and ordered the kraut dog. It could have been perfect if it wasn't swimming in ketchup and mustard. There was more condiment than hot dog. Even scraping most off didn't help as it soaked into the bun. Couldn't eat it. Next time I'll ask for NO mustard and ketchup. Tried the carrot cake ice cream which was amazing!! read more

Always a good place to head with the kids. They have a ton of options. My kids love the shaved ice but they also have great ice cream choices and even dairy free options! That's always a bonus. When I'm not getting their mint chocolate chip ice cream I LOVE their chocolate shakes. You really can't go wrong! read more

This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. However, that location was originally on Babcock St. in south Melbourne, and has been closed for many years. As a matter of fact, the old Friendly's building was bulldozed over in which a modern-day 7-Eleven was built in its place. This Friendly's location is on Eau Gallie Blvd. in Indiantlantic. It sure had the nostalgic look of a Friendly's so that was good, but unfortunately, nostalgia would not be enough to truly enjoy my outing here. Maybe I didn't know because I was young and didn't know any better, but Friendly's, at least this location on its initial visit, was sad and disappointing. Though an address is provided, Friendly's is its own building, a nostalgic building that kept to its original build from its heydey, on the southwest cornery of the Eau Ballie Blvd. and AIA intersection. Upon entering, you will be greeted with the classic Friendly's interior, too. However, you can literally "smell" that the wash water needs to be changed out. So imagine the old school smell of clean being a mixture of stale water and old water-based cleaner. That is what you smell walking into the place. I showed up at the swing from breakfast to lunch, and I wanted lunch. Unfortunately, it seems as if making the sudden switch was too difficult for the cooks in the back, an older gentlemen who I was able to hear complain about how it was "too early" for lunch. I still got lunch, though, but you can tell there were issues. For starters, the fried ravioli bites were served to me as if they were cooked in a gas station microwave: scalding hot on the outside, frozen and hard on the inside on a few of the bites. The others were... well... okay. The grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup was okay, too. I will say the basic grilled cheese was better than some other establishments I been to, such as Mash Monkeys Brewing and Planet Grilled Cheese (basic grilled cheese), but the soup was watery. I didn't even bother getting a Cone Head, which as the nostalgia I really wanted to experience because I was disatisfied. The saving grace this visit to Friendly's has is the waitress, an older lady named Jessica. She was very kind and accomodating, and even relayed any of my concerns pertaining to eating lunch "early" though it was at the beginning of the time. I made sure her tip was more than decent. Ultimately, I am going to have to give this Friendly's a two-star rating out of five review. It could definitely be better, but I also believe in the rule of averages and I want to say this might be the one unsatisfactory outing that happens every once in awhile. As for Jessica, thank God for her. You definitely need to give her her due diligence because she definitely deserves to work at a place that is better.
