We've frequented here for the last 3 years and I've never been disappointed. It's a "mom and pop" that's been around for decades and has gone through a few owners. We've always had a table available for us upon entering whether it was busy or not. Recently they've done some great upgrades- the ceiling, a/c, lights, sound system, and tv. They've kept prices low compared to what they could be charging to make sure their "regulars" will still come. Things I've tried that I've loved: - gyro breakfast platter - western omelette - farmers omelette - chili omelette - the works omelette - Raul's burger - chicken quesadilla - mushroom Swiss burger - Reuben We've had the grits, home fries, hash browns, bowl of fruit for sides. There is absolutely nothing above that I would not get again. Honestly! To top it off the wait staff are so friendly. Lucy remembers people as if she has super powers. The icing on the cake is just how down to earth Raul is. I don't know his story, but I feel like it's one we would want to listen to. He comes out every time we are there and goes around to all the tables. Very pleasant to talk to. This is one of those places that many people who drive by would overlook and I promise you, you're missing out. Simply order the French fries and you'll be hooked.

I enjoyed a lunch here today. Mybserver was very nice and attentive. I ordered the chopped steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, cole slaw, and potato soup. Everything here was tasty, the chopped steak was expertly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I will be back soon.

I believe this was the chicken noodle soup. It tasted like something you get straight out of the can.

When it comes to local or mom-and-pop businesses, especially restaurants, I usually prefer them as they are the epitome of living the American dream. I will even give such businesses a curve when it comes to my critiques. Unfortunately, not all local businesses can make it despite my critique curve. With that in mind, Old Village Restaurant is sadly one of those restaurants. Old Village Restaurant (which I will shortened simply to Old Village for the remainder of this review) is located on Aurora Rd. near the train tracks. It is a run-down dive that has seen better days for sure. The interior isn't any better as the decor is outdated and falling apart, the tables and chairs are unclean and uncomfortable, and the rug needs a thorough cleaning. Not to mention it feels as if everything has either a sheen layer of something sticky or something slippery. Even the air feels like it needs a thorough cleaning. Now to be fair, I wouldn't mind the dated look and furniture if it was 1.) clean and 2.) comfortable, but they were not. Ergo, everything now relies on the food. Sadly the food is a miss too. I ordered the shrimp with veggies and mashed potatoes. Everything looked like stuff you eat out of a microwave oven. Not only that, they probably cooked it all wrong because my body was reacting negatively to it. Overall, I will never give Old Village a chance ever again. I am usually forgiving and will give a place a chance to redeem themselves. But if it feels like my health is in jeaporday doing anything, epseically eating food, that is surely a one-strike-and-you-are-out scenario.

Very impressed by this local breakfast spot in Melbourne with prices that can't be beat! We met up…read morewith an old friend to catch up while we were in the area, and he recommended this place. They have the hot griddles built into the tables so that you can make your own pancakes which is what they're known for. We didn't have to wait for a table and the service was pretty quick. I started with a blood orange mimosa (only $6.95) and it was a very generous size. For my entree, I got the 2-pancake stack breakfast combo. I opted for the lemon poppyseed pancakes (which the kitchen cooks), cheesy eggs, and bacon. My husband got the southern breakfast, and our friend got one of their scramble skillets. Everything was amazing!

I joke of course, hipster is the theme, but of course they welcome everyone. And everyone should come. Staff is great. The place is clean and we loved the decor. Mostly, we loved our dishes. I had the shaved ribeye. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Loved the roll and Cole slaw. Now if they had some creamy horseradish for it, homerun. All in all, an excellent Sammy. My wife had the pulled pork Bennie. I am not a fan of pulled pork, but I must admit my fork wandered over to the plate a few times. She loved the dish as well. It was so big, we took half home. And there is where I may have finished it without permission. LOL. I really wish Yelp had the half star option. 4 1/2 is more appropriate. Go here. You won't be disappointed.

Everyone seemed attentive, helpful, and focused on making sure guests were taken care of. I had the biscuits and gravy, and it was delicious. It was so good I had to order an extra biscuit. My friend had a classic eggs, bacon, toast, and fruit breakfast, and it looked great as well. One thing that really stood out was the attention to detail. The staff made sure our coffee cups never fell below the halfway mark, which is always appreciated at breakfast. The location is excellent, right across from the beach in Indialantic. Parking was a little tight, but we managed. Great food, friendly service, and a really nice beachside breakfast spot. Solid five stars.

This really small place serves delicious perfectly cooked food at a very reasonable price ($32 out the door with 2 meals, coffee, tax and 25% tip). Our waitress Quinn was slammed but she provided excellent service. You can tell she has a lot of experience making sure her customers have a good experience by asking things like "the home fries have onions is that okay?" We expected very slow service but truly we were sat and had our breakfasts in about 15 minutes. Which I think is pretty good. Took a little longer to pay our bill but 100% worth the wait. We would definitely come back when in the area. My Daugher says "Quinn you did amazing!!! You were soooo good at serving. The pancakes were delicious!"

The bowl was tasty but saddle the sweet potato were soft and mushy rather than crispy. With the soft tofu, plantain, tomato, and avocado it was a lost opportunity for texture to have them be crisp. My husband said of roasted potatoes was also soft and mushy so I think there is just a timing issues rushing the potatoes for the first guest of the day. I'd still order it again. - Knowing we would be in the middle of nowhere without a vegan option on our drive home, I ordered the Veggie sandwich with added tofu to pack for a lunch later. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. You could tell care went into the preparation and presentation. We both ordered the Frothy Coffee, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the meal. It was such a unique and fun touch and made the whole breakfast feel a little more special. It was delicious and different from your typical coffee drink. Everything from the food to the service made this a memorable stop during our trip. We enjoyed it so much that we're already hoping to come back again before we fly home. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in Melbourne and looking for a delicious breakfast with great service.
