She suggested a couple of potential sites she thought we would like and suggested we go park in one of them and then walk the park to see if we liked anything better. We came back to her twice to inquire if desired spots were open (they both were) before we chose the perfect spot and moved our motorhome to it. She was gracious, helpful and made us feel welcome. Even though our spots did not have electricity or water, we were able to fill with water in the park and there is a convenient dump station on the way out. It's a small park but quiet, except for wonderful waterfowl sounds throughout the night. Montana is much better than Idaho in running their parks, at least from a customer service standpoint.

The campground is in the Flathead National Forest, NOT in Glacier Park itself, if that matters to you. It probably won't though after you see just how beautiful this site is. You may think your GPS is going bonkers leading you down a dirt road out of Martin City, but in fact it is not. Most of the roads in the Flathead Forest are unpaved, but well maintained, and as you will see, there are several other Natl. Forest sites along the road. The campground itself is absolutely beautiful, nestled up against a piney island of Hungry Horse Reservoir. The campground has a water well pump to provide water. Our host Jeff was extremely friendly and helpful, putting us at ease about everything. Worth the 20 mile drive down the dirt road!

We reserved a tent site for our van and they had nice hot showers. Pretty much all we needed. We got a good nights sleep and arrived in the park before 6am.

Parts in, in-house handyman installer working on in so we never had a chance to use it during our stay. Hot tub good and hot but hours of use start @ 10a.m. 9 a.m. would be better. Electric pedestal where we were at had turned off with 120v once but never again after they cycled the breaker OFF then ON. Previous reviews about intermittant 30A service may have been in ERROR. There were multiple times 30A service shut power completely on and off - randomly in the trailer. It wasn't due to the trailer's 55A power converter since mobile RV tech over phone said it would not cause complete power failure, don't bother replacing it. I tracked down a 15A fuse in the panel that would cut power off and on when pressed on when others wouldn't do anything. Replaced 15A fuse and all seems to be well. Still doesn't explain why the 120v outlet on pedestal was wonky. They have recycling for plastic, paper, aluminum cardboard but it is at top of hill and not at other garbage disposal area. Recommend paying more for premium or super premium site to get better site conditions and ameneties. That isn't a knock on this KOA, just personal experience. 4 out of 5 star ratings.

But the pool was nice and clean and they did enjoy that. the pet area is not suitable for small dogs because they can get under the chain-link fence. The table was crooked and on an angle making it for uncomfortable seating. It is right next to an airport and sometimes the planes are very noisy upon takeoff or landing, but did not detract from our visit. The gift shop was standard. They did have a lot of T-shirts and clothing to select from but the food area could've been improved with more selection. It was a great place to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. They also have a very nice outdoor seating area just outside of the souvenir shop --registration office where there is a beautiful view of the lake however, the motorcoach park that is just below us had preferable seating, and a closed event which limited us to Not enjoying that area for a few hours on the Fourth of July

Showers are included in the price, and they are hot and clean. Our tent site had grass, a fire pit, and a picnic table. It was in the back of the park, so it was set back from the road and rest of park so there was no noise. The owner was so friendly and made us feel so welcome and at home. The best option is tent camping in my opinion, because the RV sites are much too close together. The bathrooms have a serious smell problem. Great for families and long term or short term camping. Wild animals frequent area, so be bear aware. I've seen two just in the campground.

Utility sinks to dump your waste water is located between men and women restrooms. Our site was simple with a driveway, space for pitching a tent, a fire pit, and picnic table. No grill grate for thr fire pit. Lake McDonald is nearby.. A bunch of trees stood between our campsite and the lake. Showers are located in Loop A with no parking. Camp hosts are in A or D. Wanted to find a camp host and there wasn't one on duty in either loops but we got to see the other loops and if we were to camp again in Fish Creek... Loop D.
