The kids learned so much about the cows, were able to pet and brush Theo who is a very handsome Highland. We also go to meet the goats, the new baby chicks, the horse named Pudgy and 2 great pigs Jasper and Jackson. The highlight was also learning how to pick up and hold the bunnies to keep them safe. We all got bunny cuddles with Bluebell and Buttercup! Our family will definitely be back to the farm. We all learned so much and they have 4 (maybe 5?) pregnant cows so we are looking forward to meeting the new babies. We highly recommend this farm for family farm tours, homeschool groups, photography sessions and more. We also learned about their farm fresh eggs and their soon to be up and running farm store! Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. I go there multiple times a year from blueberries to peaches to apples and they are generally good. The farm store also sells a lot of produce.
