    My 1990 Ford 150 wouldn't start so I had it towed to Moose's. Fairly quickly, they diagnosed a broken fuel tank switch that kept the fuel from either tank from getting to the engine. In no time at all I was back to pick up my pick up and everything runs fantastic. This is the third time I've had my truck in their shop and three times I've been pleased with their communication, timeliness and the final cost of the repairs. I highly recommend Moose's Auto Tech!!!

    My car was leaking oil all over the place, so I brought it to the Moose auto tech on December 1st to have it fixed. I received a call from the Moose telling me that my oil cap was broken and my under belly needed to be replaced. When i went to pick up my car, the mechanic said what they had done to the car, which was replaced, the oil cap and the under belly, and that I was good to go. The mechanic also explained that they washed off as much oil as they could off of my engine and that the rest would burn off. I folded up my invoice and stuck it in my glove box, thinking that my car was fixed. 1 1/2 months later, my check engine light came on, which was January 22, 2023. I proceeded to check my oil because i could smell something burning under the hood of the car but the oil was completly gone out of my cars engine so I ran over to a auto store so that i could grab 2 quarts of oil to put into my car. At this point, my check engine light was still on, so i took the car back to Moses the very next day, January 23, 2023, so that they could fix it. As I'm trying to tell the mechanic what was going on with my car he cuts me off and proceeded to start arguing with me and telling me that I was told to get the engine power washed and brought back to get it checked. I told him no, I wasn't, and what he told me when I originally brought it in, which was I was good to go, and the rest of the oil will burn off. The guy said to me" well I don't know what you want me to tell you cause you were told to get the car engine power washed and bring it back but you didn't, good luck" and hung up on me. I arrived with my vehicle at Moose, and his whole attitude changed to a more positive one. Later that morning, I received a call from moose stating that my oil filter housing needed to be replaced. I then looked at my original invoice from December 1st and read that they knew that the oil housing filter needed to be replaced but only charged me for an oil cap and under belly and didn't replace the oil housing filter. Moose insisted on arguing that he told me to get it power washed and brought back. So i ended up getting an invoice from Moose so that I could take it to another auto shop so it could get fixed correctly. I received a call from the other auto shop saying that when they spoke to Moose, they asked him where did you get the part from for my car, and Moose told him from the dealer. The other auto shop told him that he was lying because that particular part from the dealer is way more than i was quoted, and they don't make aluminum oil housing filters. Moose then hung up on the other auto shop when asked again, "Where did you get this part from?" The auto shop said that they think he's getting the part from Amazon, yes folks you heard right AMAZON and not the dealership. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE BECAUSE YOU'LL JUST BE RETURNING AGAIN FOR THE SAME THING BECAUSE THEIR PARTS ARE COMING FROM AMAZON, WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS ANYWAYS? STAY away from this place if you value your car. WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!

    I called for a walk-in tire patch and they were able to take me and got me out of there in under 30 min. They were really nice, helpful and quick. I'm so glad I found them on Yelp. I usually take my car to the dealership, but I think I'm going to start going to Moose's.

    They scammed my boyfriend. They literally charged him $231 for a 10 minute diagnostic. That is ridiculous. Seriously do better Moose.

After almost an hour of waiting for "Proformance" to show up, my son finally hears back from the guy who says he can't make it, and if he can come the following day (Saturday) at 3 pm. Fine. So now it's Saturday. No call. No show. "Proformance" finally messages my son and moves the 3 pm time to 6 pm. Unprofessional. If he didn't want to do the job, he could have just said so. Thanks for wasting our weekend waiting around for nothing. UPDATE: The business owner just responded to my comment, by stating, that it was my son's idea to change the appointment date. I have my son's texts that day. My son only asked "Proformance" if they needed to change the day after THEY didn't show up for the appointment, after son had been waiting for 40 minutes PAST his appointment. Then today (Saturday) after "Proformance" said they would be out at 3 pm ( but it ended up more like 5pm) couldn't finish the job, because it was my son's fault he didn't have the bolts needed. Look, I'm just here stating my experience, as the person paying for this service. This is what I have been dealing with since Friday ( it's now Saturday evening). Oh, I didn't mention, that I have been calling "Proformance" this past week, asking how I can make payment, since my son does not live with me, and I am the one paying. I called 2 separate times, and left voicemails, with no response. This has been a complete nightmare, with no communication.. WHAT-SO-EVER.

Landon (I think that was his name) checked my oil and told me that it was great, then explained why my car was telling me that it was at 20% life (mileage OR date from last change). I appreciate that he was honest instead of changing my oil. Great customer service!

    Tldr: The Lakewood WA's Take 5 oil change negligence and incompetence did 10k in damages and…read moreresulted in a total loss in our vehicle. DO NOT GO HERE. 12/31/25 I went in for an oil change at the Lakewood WA Take 5 Oil Change at 940 am. The Take 5 dumped our transmission fluid out instead of the oil and then double filled our oil. I left the Take 5 and the dash board lit up light a Christmas tree and I could not correctly accelerate. I made it a block down the road into the town center. This was enough to destroy the transmission, leaving large amount of metal debris in the transmission. Luckily my husband was in the area and was able to pick up myself and our 17 month old daughter. We went immediately back to the Take 5 where Leslie Avila (current manager) reviewed employee footage, verified the mistake, admitted fault and apologized. Per their policy they had to redo the oil change and they incorrectly had to add new transmission fluid (did not flush out old stuff just added new). Mind you this was now having to be done in the town center parking lot. We had to waste our whole day getting the Take 5 to tow our car to the dealership. By the time we got our car towed and got a rental it was 330pm. For two weeks we kept trying to call the Lakewood Take 5 Oil; their phone was not working. When they did pick up Leslie did not provide accurate information on the status of our vehicle and would refuse to send us anything in writing admitting fault. If we managed to get a hold of her she would give snobby answers and communicate through other employees. Leslie repeatedly insisted she was in communication with the dealership, which was not always accurate when we followed up ourselves. We finally heard from the dealership that our transmission would need a total replacement due to large amounts of metal fragments in the transmission fluid as well as the loud noises coming from the transmission indicating grinding of the gears. The dealership quoted us over 10,000 in damages. Leslie would refuse to give us contact info for upper management. We had to do our own research and contact the district manager, John White and owner, Rick Pierce, ourselves. We emailed Mr. White and left a voicemail for Mr. Pierce with no response from either. Neither of them care about customer service or providing information to customers who have experienced issues from their business. An apology would have been nice after 10k in damage and for putting my wife and child in reckless endangerment. Never called to apologize about their mistake totaling our vehicle. Around January 21st, the dealership service advisors visited the Take 5 to inform them they would be charged 100 a day for the courtesy loaner vehicle and car storage. Miraculously we were contacted within days by the insurance company to begin the process of evaluating our car. This had previously not happened. This process of settling with their insurance has taken almost two months, and countless hours of time and frustration as well as numerous trips to the dealership to help facilitate communication with Take 5 Oil. Through our research we have discovered the Take 5 Oil change company is known arcoss the US for damaging and mishandling vehicles and the Lakewood WA location is no different. Save your money, do not go here. What was supposed to be routine maintenance caused extensive damage to our vehicle rendering it undrivable. If you have a 20-80k vehicle, don't trust these people to take care of you or your car. Because they don't. They are focused on fast turnover and quick service that leads to careless mistakes. At the company level customer service is not a priority. Save yourself time, frustration and money.

If this was a simple exterior wash, no biggie. I paid $350 (that's with my military discount) for the Detail package #3. I explained multiple times that I'm shipping the car to Germany and they are very particular about any dirt being on the car. They even wrote "shipping car overseas" on the paperwork and board. After just under 5 hours, I got the car back and was asked to look over it, I saw crumbs, a French fry and an old receipt in between the front seats, and a stain on the exterior, so I asked the employee if he could take care of that. He did and asked if there was anything else, which I said no... until I got home couldn't stop staring my inner winder rubber lining realizing it was still very dirty. I used the wipe they left to clean that and the dashboard and it was very dirty. Then looked at the exterior again to find dirt in the cracks in the pictures. I really hate leaving bad reviews, especially on a company that was literally recommended in our "Shipping a POV" briefing... but I'm annoyed. If the shipping company doesn't accept my car on Monday, I'll be asking for at least a partial refund. I paid a LOT of money for my car to be spotless and it definitely wasn't.

So, we came in to just fill up air on only one of my tires that was very low. When I pulled in the lot, a service agent was coming out of a car he just completed working on, and we explained our need. He advised us to pull up close to the bay window and that he will fill it up for us. [inside voice "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Michigan anymore."] Yes. He actually said to stay in the car and that he will do that for us. Then, he asked if he may check all tires and fill them as well. [inside voice "WHAT? Where am I?"] "Oh, wow... that would be great -- thank you!" I said. As he came around to my driver's side, he noticed that my windshield fluid light was on from the dashboard readout. He asked if he may fill that up too, and to just pop open the hood. [inside voice "What's going on? What is this? You anticipated a need and offered to take care of it!?"] When he was done, I tried to tip him. He refused and explained that this was all part of their service. [inside voice "But, wait! We did not buy tires or got an oil change! What is this thing you call, 'service'? It's been so long, I forget it still exists."] We enthusiastically thanked him, and we drove away SHOCKED. ASTONISHED. MOUTH AGAPED. It was not a dream. It really happened. I got incredible service at no cost. Michigan, will you ever raise the bar of service? Oh, that's right. Mediocrity is normal.

Major surgery recently, going through tuff times. Chuck the manager said he would take care of me!! He is a wonderful manager that sees outside of the box. Yes Chuck did help me !!! I will be forever grateful. Also, a gentleman and another woman over heard Chuck. They know Chuck. Asked what was happening ? ( I'm still crying, rocking back and forth ) later, The gentleman handed me an envelope with money and the woman paid for some things also. I can't believe how blessed I am !!!
