Took are car in for them to try to track down a random issue we've been having with our Camry. They were unable to find out why (it is intermittent and wasn't happening when we took it in). Moose came and talked to us when we picked it up and didn't make us feel like we wasted his shop's time and offered for us to bring it back when the issue is happening in the future. Rare to find honest shops like his now a days, he could have charged us for his tech's driving it around but chose not to. had a last minute emergency yesterday and I spoke to Dan and informed him I was leaving tomorrow to drive to North Carolina and I had to get my car fixed. He had me bring it in this morning(6/21) and would have it taking care of. Jim and Dennis and Moose along with Dan knocked out my car repairs for me. Dan also kept in contact with me and let me know the status as well as when there was a problem called me to have me come in and show me before making any repairs. I needed a replacement on my keyless entry due to overuse and I took it to the dealer thinking it would be something simple. The time and fee quoted seemed high and I called Moose's. I called and made an appointment to bring my car to be checked out for 9am on Monday for an engine diagnostic. I dropped it off and after a couple of hpurs of not hearing from them I called and they said they were getting ready to look at, 3hrs after I dropped it off for an appt. Not a problem. A couple hours later I called to check on it and they still never ran the diagnostic and suggested that I just come and drive the car with one of their mechanics. 7 hours of having my car there and they didn't do anything to it. Aside from Moose being a Raiders fan, this place is hands down the best in the area. Brought my Passat in for a noise coming from the front of the car and before any repairs were done I was called and give two options one of them being $1300 and the other $150. I appreciate the fact that instead of only quoting me for the expensive job they were honest and told me that the cheaper option was just as good. I also had breaks put in on my truck and I must say they are affordable and get the job done. Will never take me vehicles elsewhere. These guys are awesome! Our car had a bad knocking in the engine, and the whole thing had to be replaced - all the other shops we went to wanted waaaayy more than these guys and were unwilling to get a used engine, or machine the current one. These guys gave us a quote, then went and got us a used engine (they even found one with lower mileage than the current engine) and fixed the car up. They kept it for an extra day to drive it around and make sure everything was working fine, and they also checked the transmission and various other facets of the car to make sure nothing else was wrong with it. When we picked it up they informed us that they had gone over the estimate by a little bit, but they honored their original estimate. WONDERFUL work, SUPER people! I definitely recommend going here if you have ANY car problems - they definitely have my business for as long as I live in WA! read more

Our truck broke down on the way back from working a convention in Seattle after business hours. They fixed up our truck quickly and got us back on the road! First of all I am very skeptical of auto repair shops. I feel like they're always trying to hustle me. I dealt with Daniel through this whole easy process. I came in because my vehicle failed emissions testing and wing that Moose's is a certified emissions testing center I felt pretty comfortable. I also asked them to look into my power steering (the fluid was leaking). It took a few days but, I was in no kind of hurry so I was super cool w/the time frame because Daniel kept me in the loop the whole time. When I picked my vehicle up the tech and Daniel explained everything that was done to my vehicle so that I actually understood what they did. I have to say that after my third trip to this shop, the first two times for minor issues related to coils and spark plugs needing repair, and this time for a blown head gasket (and then they found a crack in the intake manifold) I couldn't be happier with their reasonably priced work and commitment to customer service. Extremely professional experience. Auto Repair is one of the only times in your life that you might be asked to drop thousands of dollars and never actually see what you're paying for. At Moose's Auto Tech they walked me out and let me look at my car while it was on the lifts to see what repairs were needed. As a guy who had done auto repair work back in high school and also at other times in my life, this gave me a tremendous amount of confidence that they were actually doing what they said they were. They are Con artists. On a few occasions they would quote me one price, call back and lie and say the damage the more severe than initially thought and quote a bigger price. Not to mention the repairs are shoddy. Had a serpentine belt done and a window motor installed. Both broke again in under 6 months. Most likely using junk yard parts and positioned perfectly to prey on young servicemen. read more

Our service was done for us over a YEAR AGO (we needed a serious repair done to our very old truck), and I was amazed at the service we received. They were thorough, professional, warm, welcoming, and very reasonably priced after we had gone to 3 different places for quotes- Moose's beat them all and still provided incredible service. Been going to Moose's since posted to Fort Lewis eons ago. A number of the guys said he was the best for car repair, and there is a reason so many guys recommended him. He is great! Over the years and vehicles he has looked after mine, and now my family's cars. Great service and only once has his estimate been off. Usually he will high ball the numbers looking worse case and then as the work goes it has always dropped. Have had estimates at many other places in the area and his are always the best. Many small problems he just fixes and sends you on your way at no charge. I can't recommend this guy enough. read more

I am so sad that mechanics are still taking advantage of hard working people I brought my older vehicle in there thinking that they know how to work on Old school Vehicles Well I was wrong .The father was nice to talk to and he loves his Pugs.He also talked about his old vehicles he worked on and restored, But the son is horrible. He would say things like sorry sir but your not pretty I told him that was not appropriate he just gave me a dirty look and did not apologized to me. He also Made homosexual remark's with his mechanics, I understand that some mechanics have fowl mouths BUT If your joking around with your workers make sure you don't do it in front of your customers who are waiting in the lobby. He also did not know what an Oldsmobile was. I also notice they have 8+10's photos of service men on their wall which is great but lets treat all your customers with the respect that you provide for our service men. I think that auto shops should have a large window in their shop so customers can seat and watch you and make you guys sweat a bit like you do to us. They never did fix my vehicle after returning it to solve the problem.instead of fixing the issue they just made it worst and it still does not run to this day. They then charged me a diagnostic fee and said they will not release it until I paid $103.38 and said it was not part of the warranty .Ya right. I hate to do bad reviews but they have to be accountable for their actions and not always come down on us the customers...... read more

not very great at paying attention to detail on manufacturer requirements as simple as an oil change. Then they tried to argue with what I showed what the manufacteror/engineer states for oil type and oil change intervals with what they assumed theirselves. How can you disagree with what the engineers of the vehicle call for. Also had two vehicles brought in and had to take them back for CARELESS mistakes. Used the wrong type of oil and didn't even top off the fluids as I was told they do more than what a dealer does. Should have stuck with the dealer for my new car for less of the price charged, at least I would have gotten car vacuumed, and washed with the right oil. I was on my way home from the hospital (visiting my dying father) on a Friday night. I was about 4 miles from home when my SUV died on the freeway. I called AAA for a tow. The tow truck driver (Duane) who was also very helpful referred me to Moose's. I called Moose (Daniel) on Saturday morning. I explained the circumstances of my dying father and how I needed to get to the hospital daily. He told me that he would take a look at my SUV that morning. He replaced the alternator (not an easy job on my kind of SUV.) and had it ready by closing time, along with a fully charged battery that I had drained by continuing to drive it. Daniel was very helpful and sympathetic to my needs. He was straight up and honest, which is hard to find these days at an auto repair shop. Moose's pricing was very reasonable. Maybe even a few hundred dollars cheaper. I appreciated their honesty, and great quality of work, that I have taken my SUV back to have rear wiper replaced along with an oil change. The lady that answers the phone is a LIAR. She will tell you "it depends how many vehicles we have. We will look at it when we can." Then, when you talk to the owner (Moose) and ask him for a better time frame, she will say she never sad that and he will back her and even say he heard what she said. So I have had the worst luck during this holiday season with my car just breaking down and needing a new motor. I called around getting quotes and Moose was so kind to give advice about purchasing a motor online, gave trust worthy companies to try as well as taking his own time to find a motor locally, with a great warranty and quoted total repair cost. The best deal I found without even a penny out of my pocket. I went down the yellow pages before calling Moose and must say he is the only one who listened and understood without attitude. My dad was using his truck to help me move. We were on I-5 in Friday afternoon work traffic when the water pump went out, and then the belts broke, losing the power steering and power brakes on his truck. We drove on the shoulder and pulled off at the next exit and found Moose's place. We are sure our guardian angel was guiding us. We were worried that 1) we would be taken advantage of being from out of town and 2) that they wouldn't be able to fix it at 4 pm on a Friday afternoon. No problem on either count. I had already called my own mechanic for a quote in case we needed to tow it all the way home, but Moose's price was the same as our own trusted mechanic. His guys had the truck in and out in a couple of hours, and the work was warrantied for a year with a nationwide guarantee.
