I needed repairs on my vehicle and asked my buddy if he had a trusted mechanic he could recommend to me. My friend got back right away. He said "call Mopar Alternatives and ask for Kenny!" Evidently, they took his fiance's jeep to Mopar Alternatives for repairs and were extremely pleased with the work, a fair price and true professionalism. Well, they were spot on! After my first call to Kenny, I understood what my friend meant by "professionalism". This is something that has become a rarity in many places nowadays. It's something I absolutely look for and appreciate. I dropped the vehicle off at the end of the work day and Kenny called me back, prior to lunch the following day, with his assessment and estimate for repairs. He also recommended that it was time for a break job. Although I knew a break job was needed, it wasn't on my list of repairs because I had actually forgotten that it was needed - he was right and I am glad he was on top of it. So, the work I had done: They replaced the power steering system, spark plugs and (as mentioned) the brakes (replaced rotors and pads on the front and pads on rear. When they were working on the power steering system they took care in removing the hoses from the reservoir as to not damage it. Sometimes the reservoir, which is plastic, can become brittle and break. He checked out the reservoir and determined it didn't need replacement, saving me $300! Overall, his pricing across the board was excellent, as was the quality of work performed. The icing on the cake was communicating with Kenny, he is a good man. If you are looking for a "go to" shop for auto repairs - Mopar Alternatives and Kenny need to be added to the contacts on your cell phone. I am so fortunate I asked my buddy for an opinion. This is how it should work... A business does what it promises, its professional and completes work in a reasonable amount of time... that's absolutely what took place. Word of mouth travels far and fast when you do great work... Word of "Yelp" can take it to the next level... You know what to do!! Check these folks out, you won't be disappointed. This is my second review. Our poor Durango started showing a whole bunch of warning lights, and our air conditioning had stopped working. Kenny found a couple of bad sensors, but the biggest issue was rodent-chewed wiring. It took a couple of days to find where, and we were kept up to date along the way. We got the car back as good as new. As the car needed a smog test Kenny advised us to drive a hundred miles or so to calibrate the sensors, and to return to him so that we he could check it before we went to the smog test location. Smog passed ten minutes later. Highly recommended, and we're happy to support a local business. read more

I took my Jeep in for evaluation which you know can get expensive at many mechanics. I left it with them for an extended time to get the low down on all that was needed. In short Hoang was upfront with me about sinking anymore money into the Jeep that needed so much work both obvious and unknown. My husband took our Dodge Journey to Mopar to have it fixed. They called us back that same day telling us it would be $800 to do what needed to be done. We agreed and then two days go by and they call us. They start off rude saying they had been trying to call the entire day before and got a busy signal... we just said okay but its my husband's work phone and we know for sure it was working fine. After that, they proceed to tell us there is a huge problem and now the price is going to be between $2500-$3000. The interesting part is, the problem was the same when we dropped it off, when they called and said it was $800, but now called back and said it would be more work. I found Hoong and his shop after I had a very pricey and disappointing experience at another local shop. The other shop had both my Chrysler 300C and my daughters older Nissan 200SX, I had an Oil Change & a Brake Fluid Flush done and then I had leaking of fluids after I brought the 300C home. I repeatedly took her back and after the 3rd visit they found I had a coolant leak and needed a new Water Pump. Well since it took 2 weeks and 3 visits to get them to seriously looking for the source of the leak I felt I needed to go elsewhere so I went to Mopar Alternatives. I phoned Hoong and he sounded very knowledgeable about my car. I took it to him and he inspected it and recommended the Water Pump and the Thermostat be replaced and gave me a better deal too! Meanwhile the other shop still had my daughters car and was giving us the run around about what was or wasn't wrong with hers too. I finally decided to remove her vehicle which we had to tow from the other shop to Hoong's. Note that her car was running fine when we took it in, only needed an Oil Change and a Smog Test done, by the time they were done with it they charged $700.00 to do several things they insisted needed to be done. I discussed this with Hoong and once his shop had the Nissan he was able to evaluate their work they did and didn't do. He basically said we got taken by the other shop. He put in a new alternator and fixed a few other things they had messed with improperly and the car has been wonderful! Smooth as silk for both our cars after a great mechanic and his team worked their magic! I seriously would recommend them to anyone! They are very knowledgeable and affordable too. The Nissan is 15 yrs old and she runs great thanks to Hoong and his team. I've never met a more honest and friendly mechanic. He will have all our family business going forward. Thanks guys!
