Went into Moppert with an insurance job and got back a brand new car. Not only did they do an absolutely beautiful job on the work they performed, they went the extra mile washing, waxing, and detailing my vehicle. I am so thankful for a job more than well done. Overpriced and overinflated estimates.....the insurance companies do not like Moppert Auto Collision and they charged over 30K for a back end repair. Took liberties with repainting whole portions of the car, and when challenged the Newark brother and his staff became belligerent. Porsche of Newark should cut all ties with Moppert immediately. There are Porsche collision centers in PA that will treat you better. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! Absolutely horrible experience! I was hit and the other driver was at fault, I had a 1987 Porsche 944 in really good condition other than the hit damage, State Farm finally came out to give it their estimate, which was 4,000 dollars, Moppert wanted 9000 just for the repairs, and charged an ABSURD 5000+ dollars for "storage fees" REALLY??? As you could expect I was tripping out about it, after arguing with the workers there for about an hour I finally got them to lower the price to around 1000 dollars, and this is just to get the car back no repairs. I paid the money and got my car back, and then noticed something even crazier than everything i had already been through, my driver side door handle was mangled and completely unusable, had to open from the inside. I was also missing a brand new CCM helmet, and a socket set. In conclusion, this place and the people there are very dishonest and will take advantage of you! Save your money, your time, your belongings, and your peace of mind and go somewhere else, you have been warned !!! read more

On November 19 2022, I took my 2017 E300 Mercedes to Moppert in Delaware. My experience was horrific!! Long story short I was forced to pay $4400, to get my car out of storage. Mr.Dave was nice enough yet Greg, is arrogant, greedy, and entitled. I was never was to pay this fee for storage!! I am a healthcare care worker , I' don't know the insurance laws . Yet it was really personal for me , I worked hard for this car !! Then when I received my car back the truck was taped down , two sensors were missing , it looks like it was hit again !! Im angry!! I took a 1999 Boxster for repair. The company refused to accept the insurance estimate and is now demanding storage fees in excess of $7,000 before they release my car to me. No repair work was done. I was never informed of any storage fees or authorized service fees. I was never informed that they were not accepting the insurance settlement until I called to check on the status of the repair update I appreciate that Greg is working with me on a compromise solution to this situation and have increased the rating to 3 stars read more

WARNING! If body work is not your strong suit, GET A SECOND QUOTE! I took my 2018 Alfa Romeo to Gregg with the utmost confidence that he would be able to restore my vehicle to "better than new" as he advertises. Unfortunately, he instead took advantage of my ignorance and swindled me like a true con man. After receiving Gregg's estimate of almost $18,200, my husband & I spent a week and a half arguing State Farm and even filing reports with the insurance commissioner so that Gregg could be the one to fix my car. We were under the assumption that Moppert Auto Collision was the only certified body shop for Alfa Romeo in DE. Come to find out, this is not true. There is currently no body shop in the state of Delaware that is certified. Upon picking my car up after State Farm demanded that I get a second quote, Gregg charged me $500 for the estimate, $299 for a lot fee, $99 for a gate fee and $125 a day to store my car, all in all totaling in $2,200. Although Gregg claims my car was garage kept, it was very apparent that it was kept outside. The car was filthy inside and out, it smelled of cigarettes and the dent had not even been touched. I was able to take my car back to the certified PA dealership where I purchased it and save $13,000 on the repairs. Attached is a picture of the damage to my car. I have had service in Winner Auto Collision in the past, which was a five star service. I chose this one this time since they are Porsche certified and they claim to have the car in better condition than new and to be a five star service. But from my experience they are anything but five star. From the beginning they have not been able to keep their words. In every step along the way either they have been late with their updates or have not followed through with what they mentioned. After taking all of their time to fix my car, when I picked my car up I found out some of the basic paint matching job was not done. The car had rough patches of paint on all around the place that they fixed. To make things worse, when I picked my car up it had scratches that I did not have before. It just has been a frustrating experience to be their customer and I regret my decision to go to this place so much. read more

My husband and I had a very frustrating experience with this company. We were hit by someone who took total responsibility for the accident. Nationwide agreed, however Moppert Auto Collision took over 2 months for 25 shop hours of repair. We waited a month for them take it in. They then left it uncovered in their parking lot for another month before they looked at it and added 3 additional supplements. The insurance company said they would not pay an additional uncharge of almost $400 for a 25% up-charge on paint. They would not release the car to us unless we paid them, even though we had no liability. In addition, they couldn't even find our EZpass. What "Certified Quality" repair shop, extorts extra money from their unsuspecting customer who was referred by Tesla Motors. In addition, they said the car would be ready 3 different times, just in paint, reassembly etc. I would rate their customer service skills as poor.
