Stopped by here for some ice cream cuz it looked like a cute modern ice cream shop. Tried some samples and they had some very fun flavors and some classics as well. The person helping us scoop was very nice and friendly-explained their most popular flavors. I ended up getting the Cookie Monster with the Dulce de Leche. The dulce de leche itself was great! But the Cookie Monster was very icy and the texture was all off. I loved both flavors though! Long story, but I separated from the rest of the family and got there late, so they had already ordered their ice cream. I finally found my way and was the last order. Bought a hot fudge sundae with pistachio ice cream. Okay, it was just a simple small cup with one scoop of ice cream, but they did what no other ice cream shop had ever done for me before. They had filled the hot fudge from the bottom and put the ice cream on top, giving such a satisfying sundae like I have never had b4. I know, super simple, but sooo good. The ice cream here is terrible. I asked if they had hot fudge for a hot fudge sundae and the guy said yes, however they used chocolate syrup drizzled all over the sides of the plastic drinking cup it was served in. Hot fudge and syrup are two different things. The vanilla bean ice cream had no vanilla flavor or specks of vanilla in it. It seemed like just plain ice cream with no flavorings, very bland. Also, they claimed to have run out of whipped cream and they had to make some more.. I thought it would be some special whipped cream.. but nope it was just regular old cream . Came in on a Friday at about 8:00pm, it wasn't super busy but there was definitely a small line. None of the flavors have descriptions, so I had no idea what's in any of the flavors with unclear names - such as "sweetheart" or "xoxo" in the specialties. This makes it awkward and complicated, taking up extra time in line having to ask what's in every item. I sampled what the girl said was like cookies & cream, it tasted watered down and not creamy so I opted for the dulce de leche. My boyfriend lovvvved his pistachio but the dulce de leche had no flavor. I had my boyfriend try it without giving my opinion and he said "tastes like nothing". My toddler and I stopped in on a weekday after the nearby princess story time. The service was great and the ice cream was delicious. We were helped right away by a really friendly employee. As soon as we sat down to eat a rush of people all arrived at once. This employee (who was all on her own) handled the rush so well, working quickly and thanking everyone for waiting. The dining room was oddly arranged with a tight booth area. They have tables outside as well. The ice cream we had was creamy and delicious. The blackberry ice cream had a great fruit flavor. My sundae was full of tasty fudge and cherry ice cream, my choice of ice cream for the sundae. Vegas is lacking in quality ice cream so I'm happy with what Mora has to offer. The only thing that I'd love to see here would be some smaller sizes. A smaller sundae option and a kid scoop option would be great. read more

Quick service here but wasn't a fan of the ice cream even if it's labeled as gourmet. I tried the double scoop cup with dark chocolate and Irish coffee but both disappointed me. I expected a stronger chocolate flavor from the dark chocolate but it was missing. I had sampled the Irish coffee and the espresso mocha and decided to go with the Irish coffee but as I kept scooping my ice cream I got more of a toffee/caramel flavor than coffee. If you're craving ice cream the place is conveniently in town square but I wouldn't become a regular here. I've had better ice cream so I'm a tad bit put off by this place I didn't even finish it... so that's saying a lot. Also you'll need lots of water after. read more

Life Deserves Extraordinary!   Mora (means blackberry) is an ice cream shop that delivers the taste of a Northwest creamery to the heart of the Las Vegas Town Square. Going back to at least 2006, when Mora opened their first location in Bainbridge Island, Washington that is just across the sound from Seattle, they have blossomed into an ice cream maker that creates delicious ice cream from an artisinal process in their Poulsbo, Washington creamery for a growing customer base. From their first shop they have extended to six locations in three states (Nevada, South Carolina, and Washington). According to their website, their technique is to make ice cream in small batches using fresh milk, cane sugar, ripe fruit, and imported chocolate. Their motto is: "Life deserves extraordinary." This is a motto that I agree with.   Although this visit on Labor Day was my first time here, it was my second visit to a Mora Ice Cream Shop. Last year, my brother and I patronized the Downtown Summerlin establishment. The experience literally left me with a sweet impression of Mora ice cream. I knew that in the future I would be checking out their Town Square location.     On one of the most hottest and humid days in the summer of 2021, Mora really hit the spot. It felt so good escaping the brutal heat in an air conditioned building while enjoying extraordinary ice cream. But, I could not help to notice that during the coolest time of the year, this would be the perfect spot to savor ice cream. Mora overlooks the Town Square Park. This is the heart and soul of the Town Square. It is here that during the Christmas and Holidays Season that the park transforms into a Winter Wonderland. Mora is a prime spot to take in these Merry activities. But on this brutally hot day, I was about to engage in the merry activity of savoring ice cream.    As soon as I walked in the door of this modern, brightly lit, and clean facility with sufficient seating; the friendly women greeted my brother and I. Just in case we were inquisitive about one of the over thirty flavors on the black and white menu board, the woman who helped me let me know that I can try a sample. I was decided on the blueberry and strawberry ice cream. In lieu of savoring it from a cone, I chose a bowl. In hindsight I shouldn't have been concerned about it melting out of a cone on account of the fact that Mora is of such supreme that it didn't melt.    I paid the friendly woman $6.95 plus tax for the two scoops. In my opinion the two scoops is the way to go. You can argue that $4.95 is pricey for a scoop of ice cream. Even though it is a large scoop of premium ice cream in a shop overlooking an adorable faux town square. However with a capital "H" the two scoops increases the value ratio because that additional scoop is only $2. That is less than a soda from a Town Square vending machine. Additionally if you divide $6.95 rounded up to $7 by two, it comes out to $3.50 for a scoop. With that said, this was $7 plus tax that gave me a great amount of pleasure. I was just as impressed with the ice cream this time as I was last time in Downtown Summerlin.    My return ratio to one of the two Mora's in Las Vegas is very high. On my next visit to either location I plan on going all out on a banana split sundae with a scoops of banana split ice cream, mora (means blackberry), and another delicious flavor. And believe me that I will be Yelping it. The way I see it is that you live this life once. And this life deserves extraordinary. read more
