Since moving to Moraga six months ago I have been going to Moraga Cleaners & Laundry weekly for our family's drycleaning and laundry services. Walking in this afternoon, it occurred to me that I have gone to a drycleaners often for more than 30 years but I have never received better, more friendly service from a dry cleaner ever. Poor customer service. They ruined my wife's blazer and took no responsibilities in helping resolve their mistake. We asked for any alternatives, including a 1/3 compensation of the blazer and they refused. Don't do business with them. They will do the same to you when they are unfamiliar with your fabric as you see in the photos. We will not do business with time and will report this incident to BBB. The manager who goes by the name of Nick, was clueless and kept arguing with me, telling me it was someone else's fault. Shameful! read more

My family has been going to Moraga Cleaners for years and years. They are extremely professional and go out of their way for their customers. They do a beautiful job with all garments. I would trust them with my most precious clothes and I plan to bring my wedding dress to them for cleaning and preservation. What really sealed the deal for me was when one of my expensive shirts was lost (which has never happened in the 20 years I've been going there). Not only did they admit the error but they offered to replace the shirt at their cost. They had already ordered it from Nordstrom and had the replacement there for me. Ruined Blazer. No apology. No compensation. No sense of integrity. Awful Customer Service! I have been going to these cleaners for 2 years now. Brought in a blazer for dry cleaning, when Nick cleaned the blazer it ripped all the appliqué on the front of the blazer. I bought it for $150, 2 years ago. I requested a reimbursement of $50, since I was out of blazer. I was told by Nick, who checked with his wife, whose family owns the business, and Informed me that the cleaners are not responsible for ruining the jackets. The best he can do is to send it to an independent company, who will evaluate that cleaners did nothing wrong, just doing the job. It's an awful experience when businesses don't take responsibility for their mistake and just tell a customer "$hit Happens". read more

I finally found a cleaner I can trust. Front desk service is outstanding and they always go the extra mile for me. I have had to have many alterations of military uniforms done and to make sure they are doing it correctly, they have checked the uniform code manuals online. That's pretty special. read more

I am sorry to be the one to put a dent in your great reviews but this needed to be addressed. This cleaners obviously does a fine job dry cleaning clothing and keeping their customers satisfied but give them something that requires some thought put into it and there could be trouble. One morning as I walked out of Safeway with a cup of black coffee in hand I managed to spill some on myself, that is my favorite new cashmere sweater I was wearing! Being on my way out of Moraga that morning it would be a while until I was somewhere to treat it so it did not stain. As soak it immediately in water! So ran into the cleaners -I had never been there before -and gave it to the gentleman at the counter and explained that I just did this and can you please wash it and get this out -he took it and gave me a ticket. I felt a bit uneasy after I left as I must say he was very unfriendly-turns out this was the owner, Nick. I just figured well they are the professionals and this was the best thing to do. Wrong! Without getting too long here -when I picked it up the stain was there and a slight hole in the spot as well. It is knit so this area was more stretched out than the rest. I was very, very upset. He was not there at this time so I left the sweater there and called him the next day. Found out that he simply put it in a pile for dry-cleaning the next day, he literally admitted this to me. He refused to compensate me for the sweater and this is why I am writing this. The rest of the staff I dealt with were all wonderful -Nick was far from it. This is just plain bad customer service and bad business practice. Communication is a good thing-I would have never left my sweater there if I knew it going to get thrown in a pile for 24 hours so the stain can set in. I would have appreciated it if he just said he could not do the job. read more
