These people saved me from being the ripped off for over $7000 by a Car Dealer that was running a fraud scam. The Investigations Dept and there officer went after this guy and made him follow the law and release the title or he would be facing losing Dealer's license. The scam was simple, after I paid for the BMW in full, the dealer did not send the title and reg. he hide out avoiding my calls. After over 90 days without the title arriving, what did arrive was a Tow Truck, who parked in front of the Gate at my home. I did have a copy of the Sales Contact showing (Paid in Full) which is what I submitted the the DMV Investigations Dept. The scam is simple, after 90 days the dealer pretended to have a reason to seize the car, the hitch was that he did give me a bill of sale and copy of the Sales Contract, still he though he could somehow get away with stealing the car back! Well that's when DMV step in and straightened the matter out! Thank you DMV!!!

Now I see why this DMV branch has such a low rating…read more I live in DTLA and this is the closest DVM to me. I went to my appointment today, 7/16/26, around 3pm. When I needed to get a replacement ID, the online system failed me and required me to come in person to get a new ID. The check in lady I kiosk 9 is terribly rude and unprofessional, based on what I observed, as she served other people. Thank god I didn't get her as the person helping me. The blonde lady in kiosk 10 was personable and wonderful. She was friendly and eager to help. After getting my number, I was sent to kiosk 1. Marcelo was the person who attempted to assist me with the things I needed. He was this "straight" caucasian looking Latino boy with a side of major sass! He was ride with very expressive facial expressions, which was kind of entertaining. We love a masc fem guy! LOL. I didn't mind the sassiness and attitude, but he was feeding me wrong information left to right. I asked him about getting a new pic and he said I couldn't. 3 other employees near him was listening in and chimed in saying that I can get a new picture. He stayed quiet and eventually I was allowed to get a new picture. Before I left, I asked him another thing and he said that I had to go to window 21, which is where people speak to the managers, I later found out. This was the wrong instruction. The manager finally told me what I was supposed to go to get the thing I wanted. Idk if he is new, but he needs additional training. Lady in kiosk 24 was nice and lovely. Got me everything else I needed. Easy parking across the street. Make an appointment so you do t have to wait a long time to be helped.

For other DMV services such as Real IDs/Driver Licenses, behind the wheel tests, please go to the DMV on 803 Cole Avenue in Hollywood (near Pavilions). I came a few minutes early before my appointment past 9AM. The line was not long and the staff are very transparent, firm yet still polite. I was given a number and was called to proceed to a certain window in less than 10 minutes. I came here to process my car's title and registration. I came prepared with all required documents (Real Driver's License, bill of sale, car title, proof of insurance) and was prompted to pay the registration fee. Also make sure to not sign the title until you are instructed to do so. Otherwise, you will need to sign an affidavit onsite. They accept cash, cheque (no added fees) and debit/credit cards (for a fee). I was able to complete my transaction within 15 minutes. They have decent amount of onsite parking and is also accessible by Metro lines 212 and 4. I highly recommend going to WeHo DMV for your vehicle registration needs.

I was at Window 10 on Friday April 3rd around 10:30a. She had glasses and a mask on, and the guy working next to her seemed cool; they had a good rapport going on while getting things done. Moving onto the photo process, this is never fun but the lady here was nice as well. I guess my head was tilted way too much so I had to retake, but I know either way, it will resemble hell in human form so it's okay. I arrived with an appointment so things went well, but even without one, sometimes they can still take you at a decent time depending on the day, etc. Still recommend an appointment regardless just to be safe. Parking lot always has spots which is helpful. Received my new card about a week later, and I had to laugh since my head WAS kind of tilted. I'm stuck with this for the next five years and I'm fine with that. I've been back a few times for registration information and even though it's different than the ID line, employees were still as helpful as could be. Glad this experience was 100xs better than 2021...

What the issue was, is that there were 2 African American women workers at the front door to help people, but were insanely rude to EVERYONE. I believe one was actually a security guard. During my hour of waiting I never interacted with either of them but about every 10 minutes they started belittling and giving attitude to new customers for no reason! A lady was having trouble at the self help kiosk and she politely asked for help. The worker tells her "you rushin and ain't tryna read the prompts!" "You insert your card! You ain't neva insert yo card at da regista?" Turns out the machine was not reading any cards. Multiple people were having problems with the machine. Anyone that questioned why the worker was being rude to them instantly got confronted by the security guard. I never even talked to either of these workers but seeing them talk to the other customers infuriated me that our tax money is paying people so rude and unprofessional to customers that were asking questions politely.

Arrived on a Friday afternoon (an hour before close), on a rainy day, the 1st week of January. So, I was expecting to ball my eyes out over the wait and frustration. But NO! This place was great. You grab a number, wait to be called, and handle your business. I was seriously in and out in a matter of 10-15 minutes. Shout out to the security guard who went above and beyond helping out and making sure everyone was helped. Its rare to see that sort of kindness, so this warmed my heart on such a cold and rainy day. The lady who helped me was kind, quick, and helpful. Gold stars all around. Totally happy with my experience here! Hopefully its a rarity i'm here, but if i have to come to an LADOT parking bureau, i'll gladly come here again.

We need our signs to match the actual street cleaning schedule. Residents are getting increasingly expensive tickets even though taxes are rising and city services are declining. Signs should reflect when street cleaning actually happens, so people don't get tickets on days when there's no reason to move their cars. This situation is unfair to our neighborhood and community, and city planning seems to be getting worse. 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month ... maybe? Not always. I do not think they should give out tickets here when the signs and the Sweep Cleaning Trucks are not at the same time. It is confusing. It needs to be changed! Bad police who give out tickets when there is no reason to. It is all so poorly managed. Shame. 73 bucks... too much.
