Hainanese chicken comes as half a bone-in chicken and it's a lot of food. The rice is the star -- savory and fragrant on its own. Curry stingray casserole came out bubbling hot and loaded with vegetables. The fish pieces were big and tender, and the curry sauce was great over rice. Singapore mei fun with shrimp was nicely seasoned, especially with chili oil. We also tried some sushi (Maguro Mango Roll, Spicy Kani Roll) and sides like miso soup and seaweed salad -- fresh and well made. Prices are reasonable, portions are big, and service was friendly. They've always been generous with the lunch portions. The rolls haven't always been wrapped tight, but they've always tasted just right. They give a good about of fish in their lunch rolls. So when I was looking at macros and healthy proteins, this place worked well for me. I've eaten at most of the sushi places in JC. This one is my favorite places in JC for value and friendly service. Rice, noodles, soup, and bubble tea bubbles aren't expensive ingredients and yet this restaurant managed to skimp on everything I ordered. The sushi was not properly covered in rice you could see right through spots to the seaweed. The chow fun did not fill the container -even the white rice wasn't filled -it's rice come on. We love variety, so we ordered Thai and Malaysian dishes along with sushi rolls. First off, the milk tea with brown sugar and boba has the right amount of sweetness in the tea and the right chewy boba texture. For sushi, we ordered fantasy roll, spicy kani, wild summer and Manhattan roll. All of them were special since they mixed a variety of fresh fish in there. For example, the spicy kani has salmon, tuna and eel! Yum! The beef rendang was so soft and green curry was so delicious. And we ended the night with some mango sticky rice. First time trying this place and had it delivered to my office. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef and no tomatoes. The food came relatively fast in about 25 minutes after placing the order. The dish came with some pieces of beef, a cucumber, plenty of pineapple, and some onion. The pineapple was definitely fresh and packed with juice; the beef was soft, flavorful, and cooked well. As a whole however, I felt that it was a little too oily and the rice didn't spark my tastebuds too much. I had to squeeze out the lime to its limit to get a little more flavor on the rice. I will say that the portion was very generous though. If you want, you can probably save half for another meal, but I was super hungry and finished all of it (Kind of regret it because I went into a big food coma afterwards). Maybe I ordered the wrong dish because my coworkers had recommended the curry for this place. If and when I do try it, I will definitely update this review. They gave me NO spoon to go with my soup... which I then had to sip, since I just moved in and have no utensils in the place yet. SUPER INCONVENIENT.
