I'm actually livid. I ordered sushi that CLEARLY said NO spicy mayo, and everything came completely drenched in it. Like what is the point of even having a menu description if you're not going to follow it? Not everyone likes spicy mayo or can even eat it, so this isn't a small mistake--it ruins the entire meal. And on top of that, no utensils were included... so even if I wanted to eat it, how exactly was I supposed to? This was a complete miss. Please start paying attention to orders because this was beyond frustrating.

Salmon lover's roll: very generously filled with thick pieces of salmon inside and out. I like that they torched the salmon and avocado outside. It adds a smokiness!

We came here for a quiet lunch hour. Corner spot, entrance is hidden for you first timers. Signs are posted which door to use. Also a couple of delivery drivers are always outside. When we found the door, the inside is small but clean. Looks more like an outpost than a sit in and eat spot. Typical Japanese-American menu. A lot of rolls but no katsu or curry offerings. Ordered a couple of drinks, the ramen, a roll and an appetizer. Food came out hot. The appetizer was good. Ramen and rolls were well made and good portions. Overall nice spot to scratch that food itch. A lot of app deliveries going in and out. Recommended. Support your local restaurant.

Ok, so listen. We all know that when it comes to sushi, we have to be a little more careful with where we buy from. I came across Samuri Sushi last year on Post Mates. I was hesitant about ordering from them until my friend who lives near me, ordered from there herself and loved it! And when it comes to food, I trust her taste because she's a bit bougie like me lol. She told me that she tried this fried lobster roll that had me more than intrigued! I tried that and was hooked forever! I love ordering from them because they often have buy one, get one on Post Mates. It is always soooo fresh! I never have to worry about getting sick or feeling nauseous. It's always super light sushi, made with yummy sauces, caviar, rice, etc. I love the Red Bull roll, the crispy rice, and so much more. I've yet to have something from there that I did not like! Because it's freshly made, I'd say to always order in advance because it does take longer than other restaurants, but it is so worth the wait! Keep up the quality, SS! Please! It isn't easy to come across! Thanks so much.

Service was friendly, music was at the perfect level to have a pleasant conversation. Food presentation was excellent, no complaints about it, only thing is I ordered a sushi and ask if it was spicy, I was told it was not spicy but it had a mayo on top which it was definitely spicy (I'm allergic to spicy). Other than that everything was excellent, must try their desserts.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants nearby! I'm very picky with my sushi but this restaurant makes very delicious rolls. The quality of fish was fresh and the rise on the rolls were perfectly cooked. Their wasabi also has a nice kick to it. Definitely is my new go-to spot for affordable and good quality sushi.

Did this order for pick up and I've eaten here before but never had the chance to review it (and have a picture last before scarfing it down). Service was quick and the pick up was fast! Food was so GOOD and fresh and I got their seafood ramen and their tonkatsu ramen. Their seafood ramen is filled with such an amazing assortment of seafood and their broth was divine to smell. It helped clear and fight a mild cold I was experiencing Presentation was beautiful (before I chowed down and figured I should take a pic and review lol) but so many props to this cute little gem and their amazing meals and hefty portions

My favorite sushi place in the area! Reasonable prices for great food. The rolls are great and so fresh tasting. I personally also really like the tuna tartare and the salmon tataki. It's hard to find such fresh tasting sushi without breaking the bank so I'm so glad this is near me. The space is also really cute. They have a back area where the chairs are all mismatched and eclectic. While the restaurant itself is more homey feeling, it adds to its charm. The people are always so nice too. Love this place! (Takeout is also great)

3.5 stars. Great ambiance and selection of special sushi rolls, but the sushi was just average. The quality of the ingredients wasn't bad, but the rice was mushier / more overcooked than I personally would've preferred. The special rolls we ordered: - Red Bull Roll: Out of all the rolls we ordered, this was my favorite. This was the most flavorful, and the salmon tasted really fresh. Would definitely order this again! - Winter Roll: The spicy yellowtail wasn't really spicy. Not bad, but wasn't memorable. Wasn't a fan of the asparagus in the roll. - Salmon Lovers: Was underwhelming. Wish more of the pieces had the seared salmon on top, but it seemed like it was 50% avocado and 50% salmon. Also didn't think the mango sauce on top meshed well. - Dancing Dragon Roll: Wasn't really a fan of the asparagus inside this roll either. Next time I'd skip this roll and just go for the Eel Avocado Roll. - Lobster Roll: Wouldn't recommend because it seemed like a pretty plain and boring. This roll is pricier because of the lobster, but I think that the crispy lobster could've been replaced by any kind of tempura and it would've tasted the same. - New York Roll: Not bad, not outstanding. Overall, I think this is a decent place to get affordable sushi and Japanese food. The restaurant is cozy. The service could've been quicker, but although the restaurant was 80% when we came in, they looked like they were busy with a lot of takeout orders.

Tataki salmon with ponzu sauce... highly recommend!

sooo good, i'll probably come again…read more the wagyu sando was so soft and filling. it's an appetizer but i made it my meal lol. The garlic noodles were also really good- a bit salty but really good. i ended up dipping my sando into the sauce haha

Wanted to try Kat Khao for some time as we were craving some Vietnamese food. Granted, this isn't…read moretraditional Vietnamese food, but it's more Asian Fusion. First, the decor inside is really nice. Whoever handled the interior design did an excellent job. Really dope ambiance with the walls and lighting. To start, we ordered the Vegan Summer Rolls. This was really really good. Love how the rolls were generously filled with veggies. Made eating with chopsticks a little tougher, but a challenge worth pursuing. For the veggie meal, I went with the Crispy Eggplant. This is worth coming back for. It was a very generous portion, but you got a lot of kick with the five spice and the extra chili. Even though it's just eggplant, it fills you up without any doubt. Unfortunately, my other half wanted to try the prawns and it was a bit too difficult for her to eat because it was overcooked. Also, we tried the ube tiramisu and didn't really feel the fusion elements in it. It was okay, just nothing special. I'll come back for the eggplant and the summer rolls. If there's another veggie option in the fall, I may consider that. TBD on whether my other half will return though. 4 for me overall, but with caveats.

I had such a great experience coming here for an omakase …read more Drinks were good Sushi was delicious I was able to upgraded to the larger omakase and loved it . Was definitely full.

Amazing food, but felt scammed on the bill…read more I visited Sushi by Bou in Jersey city last Saturday night for their 17‑course omakase, which is advertised at 150 dollars per person. My cousin and I were genuinely impressed at first - every piece of sushi was delicious, the fish tasted fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. For most of the meal, it felt like a great high‑end dining experience. The problem came at the very end. The host asked if we wanted anything else, and I specifically asked what our options were and how much they would cost. I was told we could order any of the original 12 pieces à la carte, but when I asked the price per piece, the host hesitated and never actually answered the question. Then the bartender and sushi chef said, "Give them all 12 pieces. Run it back," in a way that made it sound like it was part of the experience, not an extra charge. At no point did anyone clearly state the price of these additional pieces or indicate that this would significantly increase our bill. When the check came, it was close to 700 dollars for two people who started with a 150‑dollar‑per‑person omakase and only had about a drink each. Every extra piece had been charged individually at full price, even though I had directly asked how much it would be. Instead of feeling taken care of, we left feeling misled and scammed. A wonderful meal was completely overshadowed by the lack of transparency at the end. All it would have taken was a simple explanation like, "Additional pieces are X dollars each," so we could make an informed decision. Because that did not happen, it feels like the upsell was intentional and deceptive. The sushi itself was excellent, but I cannot recommend this place until they are honest and upfront about pricing for add‑ons and do a better job of respecting their customers. Transparency matters just as much as good food.
