    Lunch 3 roll
    Alden K.

I've eaten sushi here about once a week for at least a year. I have a sushi lunch day where I get takeaway. Everyone here is super nice. Fast service. They've always been generous with the lunch portions. The rolls haven't always been wrapped tight, but they've always tasted just right. They give a good about of fish in their lunch rolls. So when I was looking at macros and healthy proteins, this place worked well for me. I've eaten at most of the sushi places in JC. This one is my favorite places in JC for value and friendly service. And my favorite sushi place. Everything always looks very clean. The takeaway has always been packed correctly. I have zero complaints. They obviously take their business very seriously. When I want seriously tasty and reasonably priced sushi, I come here(often). sk

Craving Thai food & came across this restaurant after seeing my fave place went out of business. The inside is very neatly decorated. Dim & a bit romantic. The plating of dishes was nice. The server was kind. The curry puff appetizer I will return for! Soooo well cooked & the most gorgeous flaked appearance. Mouthwatering. I wanted to try something new as it was a bit pricey for an "express" thai place. The Malaysian fried rice sounded good. I sadly feel it was very bland & not confident this is how unflavored Malaysian food would be. Guess I gotta go to Malaysia & see for myself. Lol I was so disappointed. Downside of dining inside was the flying bugs. I swear the gnats & flies I was swatting so much I took the rest to go so I could eat in peace without swatting every second. Maybe order to go...def the curry puffs. Go, enjoy

It's a pretty decent space with 10 to 15 tables. We ordered the spring roll, basil fried rice and the 16 piece Veggie Maki combo sushi. Also a lychee boba in the end. The sushi was amazing! Especially for a vegetarian with not many options, this is a must try! The basil fried rice was good too. Nothing great about it but it was just fine. I also tried Lychee boba for the first time. It's as good as the Taro boba that I usually order. The service was good as well. We didn't have to wait longer for the food to arrive

Super friendly service! I ordered the pineapple fried rice and was very good. They have great vegetarian options and I love that they have Thai style mock duck option for protein. Also very kids friendly, they serve them with these cute plastic plates. Location is great, only a few blocks from the grove street path station.

On a dreary day for weather, work and the world, More Express helped mitigate, or at least distract from, cabin. I've been known to complain about restaurants offering multiple cuisines, yet I've also been known to support Nobel Prizes for places that have enough appetizers to skip entrees. I didn't wind up with the Thai/Japanese/Chinese balance I first contemplated, opting for 75% Thai. Tofu todd is an effective sauce delivery system, while fried Thai sausage was an unusual treat. I liked the kani salad, but I found the tom kha khai soup too sweet and might try tom yum next time. More Express has mastered delivery logistics. Even with four items it was fast, and as a prior victim of soup spilling I appreciate the careful packaging.

Unopened Chow Fun w/ shrimp $19.00

Counting pennies over dollars with reduced portions isn't a way to a customer's heart. Rice, noodles, soup, and bubble tea bubbles aren't expensive ingredients and yet this restaurant managed to skimp on everything I ordered. The sushi was not properly covered in rice you could see right through spots to the seaweed. The chow fun did not fill the container -even the white rice wasn't filled -it's rice come on. I ordered a bubble tea (not pictured) and there were barely any tapioca bubbles. The lack of tapioca bubbles in the tea was particularly disappointing. Their willingness to cut corners with portions reflects their ideology regarding saving money at all costs -I wouldn't come here again.

I like the amazing food here! Beyond my expectationsBest choice in Jersey city for Malaysian food and Chinese food. The service is amazing and the Chef and store manager is very friendly to create the good food experience.

More like 3.3 stars. Fastest. Seamless. Delivery. Ever. The delivery time said 60-70 minutes. It came in 22. TWENTY TWO!! Let me preface this review with I NEVER order Thai food. Ever. (Three years ago I went to Thailand and got food poisoning so hello PTSD). But alas, a pad Thai craving ensued so I caved. Also, seamless had a $5 off discount so hello splurge. I got a tom yum soup (shrimp), fried Thai sausage, tofu pad Thai, and my favorite dessert...mango sticky rice. The soup was great and flavorful, except had only two measly pieces of shrimp in it. The sausage was fantastic, my favorite part of the meal. The pad Thai was incredibly bland, as was the mango sticky rice so I'm disappointed. However, I will say the prices are great and the portions are massive. The pad Thai alone can feed three people. I'll probably order from here again and try some other items from the menu.

Was here for takeout yesterday and was blown away by the food we ordered. The service was quick and food was still warm/hit when we got home to eat them. We love variety, so we ordered Thai and Malaysian dishes along with sushi rolls. First off, the milk tea with brown sugar and boba has the right amount of sweetness in the tea and the right chewy boba texture. For sushi, we ordered fantasy roll, spicy kani, wild summer and Manhattan roll. All of them were special since they mixed a variety of fresh fish in there. For example, the spicy kani has salmon, tuna and eel! Yum! The beef rendang was so soft and green curry was so delicious. And we ended the night with some mango sticky rice. Got to say we were stuffed! Can't wait to go back for dine in when the garden opens for the warmer weather.

    Peanut avocado roll. Loved it.

stumbled in for a birthday dinner one night in january. i overall, have mixed feelings about this place. the scallion pancakes were close to perfect. not too oily, but they are very fried and dry. however, i liked the flavor and loved that they werent oily. i hate when u get a mouth full of oil. the peanut avocado was perfect. sounds simple, but so many people mess up the rice with rolls especially basic, veggie friendly ones like these. props for having this roll, since most places dont offer it. tofu drunken noodles had potential, but there was little to no sauce. this is a big no no - this dish is usually saucy as hell. also, little to no flavor. nice portion size. chicken pad thai was the opposite, it was too saucy - pad thai should be stickier. and it also needed more flavor. again, nice portion size. service was pretty damn slow considering we were the only ones in there. seems like they carry the place via the deliveries.

Good, affordable Thai food in downtown JC. We ordered these 3 dishes, with plenty leftovers for the next day: Pad Thai with Beef $13: could do with a little more flavor, but okay Drunken Noodles with Beef $13: delicious! Each strand of flat noodles was coated with sweet soy sauce. Very flavorful and a pleasure to slurp! Red Curry with Chicken $12: good. I thought the broth had little too much coconut milk but still not bad. Spicy and generous with the veggies and meat. We ordered pick up via Grubhub and everything went seamlessly.

There were a large variety of choices for the buffet, and I tried a little bit of everything. It was all cooked well and wonderfully flavorful with tons of warm seasonings. Stand outs included butter chicken, noodles, curry, and tandoori. I would have liked more seafood options and meat other than chicken though. The Naan was served warm and slightly crisp, while still being soft. I decided to also order a drink called Shahi Falooda. Since I never tried it, I didn't know how it was supposed to look, even though I thought the presentation was a bit weird, as there were pieces of toast dredged in the liquid. When I tried it, there seemed to be all the flavors described, including rose almond milk, tutti frutti, and vanilla ice cream. It tasted creamy, sweet, and unique, with the ingredients mingling well together. Service was definitely lacking. When the bill came, it was listed as a dessert, so I inquired about it. The waiter responded that they did not have the beverage available, so served me something else instead. This really irked me that the waiter would knowingly do this without mentioning up front that they were out of the beverage, allowing me the free choice to either order another drink or not get one at all. The waiter then told us it would be taken off the bill, but a different waiter came out to inform us that the manager would not allow that. While the food was actually pretty good, this was a very upsetting experience and I will not be returning. At least this taught me to always speak up when I have a doubt or question about anything I order.

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

If you're looking for good flavorful food options, this has got to be on your "must try" list, I genuinely do not think you'll be disappointed. I ordered the blueberry lemon iced tea, maitake mushroom medley with the option of udon noodles & added chicken, the coconut curry with the option of ramen noodles and the rice pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. First things first, my absolute FAVORITE thing about this restaurant is the food contains no GMO's no preservatives, pink Himalayan salt to season and NO REFINED sugars- only agave and palm sugar to sweeten. I WISH I would've known about this spot sooner JUST for that detail alone. I am always on the hunt for a place that offers refined sugar free options, and with that comes this level of safety knowing what I am consuming has a heath standard/holistic approach to meet and me not having to feel guilty or worrisome after a meal. Absolute 10/10 in that aspect. I saw a few reviews mention the blueberry lemon iced tea, as someone not even a fan of lemonade I decided to give it a try. Let's just say, I was slow sipping my drinks to not finish it all and avoid getting another in the same sitting lol. It's well balanced, not sour, blueberry flavor is present and knowing it's sweetened with agave led to guilt free pleasure. Would recommend everyone to try it, even if you're not a fan of lemonade like I am. Another mention, lemonade tends to make my throat dry, due to its sourness and tanginess and that didn't happen at all. Think the blueberry was more prominent than the lemon, it was really enjoyable. The curry ramen was a highlight! If your a fan of curry, I think you def have got to try this. I actually didn't get it (my partner did) because I didn't wanna be let down, but it was absolutely delicious. I got the maitake medley udon noddles with added chicken and what a blast of flavor. It had veggies, mushrooms, chicken, udon, eggs, kimchi and was extremely flavorful. I was very surprised that each element of the dish had its own flavor and spice that really jumped out, but paired well together. The least favorite thing for me on this platter was the eggs. Just your standard egg, I'm a fan of soy-marinated eggs on my noodles and not a fan of regular boiled eggs, but they are always an added protein plus! One honorary note, is the kimchi. I like kimchi, don't love it, but this was the best kimchi I have ever had. I even ordered a side to go. Another cool thing is the food is cooked fresh, right in front of you. Tbh, we were the only ones in there at 6 PM and food took quite a while, but I appreciate and prefer freshness over quickness always. The rice pudding is light and the homemade refunded sugar-free caramel addition makes it so much better. As there were only two options of dessert on the menu (rice pudding & matcha ice cream) I decided to give it a go although I'm not really a fan of rice pudding. Was it amazing? No. Would I get it again? Possibly. This place was on the pricier side I would say. My bowl of maitake mushroom w/chicken (added chicken being a $6.50 dollar up charge) was $34. Worth it for that price point? Not really, but good none the less. I also ordered a small side of kimchi (the small clear containers) and that was $7 which I think is crazy, but also it was good. For a better price point, I might've asked for a jar lol. Customer service- the workers were nice, but not really personable, which I don't really care for much, but bringing this up because there was this sense that maybe I shouldn't be in there or they just possibly didn't want to work. I tipped nonetheless, but for being the only couple or people in there I thought we would be greeted by everyone, just a simple acknowledgement, but it felt more like we were bothering them by walking in. I understand that people have their days and you have no clue what someone is going through personally, but it was distinct enough to mention- especially as someone who never really comments on the customer service aspect. I see through it cuz the food was great! Something about it was also just a let down, but I can't put my finger on it. Although it was good, I don't see myself frequenting this place. Maybe the price point is deterring me, but I do think it's worth a try!
