Beef combination: hibachi beef over fried rice, broccoli and cabbage

This spot it awesome. Great ingredients, a neat presentation, and plenty of good food. The chicken and the beef are cooked to perfection. Get a combo and you won't go wrong.

Decided to check out this new restaurant I'd noticed that had just recently opened up in the neighborhood. The restaurant itself is small but cozy, and welcoming. There's 1 table off to the side (Not pictured) and 2 chairs to sit and wait as your order is cooked. Staff is very professional and polite. Menu is small but simple with great prices compared to other restaurants in the area. I ordered the Chicken Hibachi Combination Platter, which was flavorful and delicious. For only $8 dollars it comes with a large bed of fried rice (You could change it to white rice or noodles whichever you prefer). Topped with plenty of Hibachi Chicken drizzled with sauce. You get a drink included with the meal as well. If chicken isn't your thing or maybe you just want to try something different. Then there's other options such as beef, shrimp or squid. I will definitely be coming back for more.

    Chicken and beef

Oooonoooooooo it's bad y'all... The order: chicken and beef hibachi, white rice for delivery Yeah this was not good. Idk how this was hibachi. It was just rice and chicken with hidden mixed in beef and about $0.40 of cabbage only. Terrible experience. Oh even worse the sauce is sweet af and the rice was swimming in it.

    Live cooking experience !

Clean asf ! Very trustworthy when you need a quick asian Great teriyaki sauce and hibachi !!

You'll get more from any Chinese restaurant offering teriyaki despite not being Japanese.

The rice tasted fresh, with the right amount of sauce without overpowering the main hibachi meat.

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

If you're looking for good flavorful food options, this has got to be on your "must try" list, I genuinely do not think you'll be disappointed. I ordered the blueberry lemon iced tea, maitake mushroom medley with the option of udon noodles & added chicken, the coconut curry with the option of ramen noodles and the rice pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. First things first, my absolute FAVORITE thing about this restaurant is the food contains no GMO's no preservatives, pink Himalayan salt to season and NO REFINED sugars- only agave and palm sugar to sweeten. I WISH I would've known about this spot sooner JUST for that detail alone. I am always on the hunt for a place that offers refined sugar free options, and with that comes this level of safety knowing what I am consuming has a heath standard/holistic approach to meet and me not having to feel guilty or worrisome after a meal. Absolute 10/10 in that aspect. I saw a few reviews mention the blueberry lemon iced tea, as someone not even a fan of lemonade I decided to give it a try. Let's just say, I was slow sipping my drinks to not finish it all and avoid getting another in the same sitting lol. It's well balanced, not sour, blueberry flavor is present and knowing it's sweetened with agave led to guilt free pleasure. Would recommend everyone to try it, even if you're not a fan of lemonade like I am. Another mention, lemonade tends to make my throat dry, due to its sourness and tanginess and that didn't happen at all. Think the blueberry was more prominent than the lemon, it was really enjoyable. The curry ramen was a highlight! If your a fan of curry, I think you def have got to try this. I actually didn't get it (my partner did) because I didn't wanna be let down, but it was absolutely delicious. I got the maitake medley udon noddles with added chicken and what a blast of flavor. It had veggies, mushrooms, chicken, udon, eggs, kimchi and was extremely flavorful. I was very surprised that each element of the dish had its own flavor and spice that really jumped out, but paired well together. The least favorite thing for me on this platter was the eggs. Just your standard egg, I'm a fan of soy-marinated eggs on my noodles and not a fan of regular boiled eggs, but they are always an added protein plus! One honorary note, is the kimchi. I like kimchi, don't love it, but this was the best kimchi I have ever had. I even ordered a side to go. Another cool thing is the food is cooked fresh, right in front of you. Tbh, we were the only ones in there at 6 PM and food took quite a while, but I appreciate and prefer freshness over quickness always. The rice pudding is light and the homemade refunded sugar-free caramel addition makes it so much better. As there were only two options of dessert on the menu (rice pudding & matcha ice cream) I decided to give it a go although I'm not really a fan of rice pudding. Was it amazing? No. Would I get it again? Possibly. This place was on the pricier side I would say. My bowl of maitake mushroom w/chicken (added chicken being a $6.50 dollar up charge) was $34. Worth it for that price point? Not really, but good none the less. I also ordered a small side of kimchi (the small clear containers) and that was $7 which I think is crazy, but also it was good. For a better price point, I might've asked for a jar lol. Customer service- the workers were nice, but not really personable, which I don't really care for much, but bringing this up because there was this sense that maybe I shouldn't be in there or they just possibly didn't want to work. I tipped nonetheless, but for being the only couple or people in there I thought we would be greeted by everyone, just a simple acknowledgement, but it felt more like we were bothering them by walking in. I understand that people have their days and you have no clue what someone is going through personally, but it was distinct enough to mention- especially as someone who never really comments on the customer service aspect. I see through it cuz the food was great! Something about it was also just a let down, but I can't put my finger on it. Although it was good, I don't see myself frequenting this place. Maybe the price point is deterring me, but I do think it's worth a try!

We got there a bit late but not a problem! We did the omakase menu since it's one of our favorite dinning experiences. Now i wanna premise this, the restaurant and food is good -- the omakase experience was nice but was missing a bit of the wow factor. Some of the plates where excellent - while others where good but missing the wow factor we normally get during this experience. I looked around and saw some of the sushi plates and found them enticing and made me kinda question why we did the omakase menu. In the end I would highly recommend Nigiri for a nice date night. Stick to the regular menu and enjoy the restaurant for its strengths. Nice ambience. Great sushi rules and friendly staff.

Located right in the heart of Jersey City downtown, I was pleasantly surprised that they accepted a walk-in on a Saturday. The service was quick, kind, and attentive. Every single dish we tried was beyond innovative and delicious. Hokkaido Scallop Crudo- easily my favorite dish of the night. Nice and balanced, and loved the kick from the Thai chili Teba Gyoza Stuffed Wings- who would have thought to put an entire gyoza in a chicken wing! This so so creative and incredibly tasty as well Chilean Sea Bass Chả Cá- cooked to perfection and I loved the noodles they served on the side, which completely the sauce perfectly Lychee Paloma- fun little mocktail that wasn't too sweet and had the perfect bitter taste from the N/A spirit Ube Tiramisu- an uber forward treat! Loved the chips on top and the addition of the salty and sweet flavors together All in all, this is in incredible and creative restaurant that I encourage everyone to visit!

WOW, did our opinions change! We ordered several dishes to share including the Vegan Summer Roll, Hokkaido Scallop Crudo, Chilean Sea Bass Chả Cá, Crispy Eggplant, Crab Garlic Noodles and Viet Cajun Prawns. The husbands also ordered the Hanoi Gimlet and added gin which we brought. The Summer Rolls were crisp, fresh and flavorful. The Eggplant was rich - bursting with flavor and had a delicate tempura batter. The Crudo was creamy yet delicate and very pretty. The Chilean Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. The Crab Garlic Noodles Stole the show with intense flavor and sooooo much crab meat with a caviar surprise! The only dish that fell a little short were the Prawns. The flavor was delicious but the prawns were very small and not very many. We absolutely will return to this delicious BYOB.
