In order to renovate our kitchen/dining room areas and living room, we needed a huge 12 foot couch, 9 foot kitchen table, chairs and bookcase removed on the first day. After 2 weeks, he came back to get everything from the kitchen. Joe not only had to deal with narrow brownstone hallways and stairs, he had to deal with all the snow mounds. His rates were very reasonable and he got the job done efficiently. I highly recommend him.

We hired them for both packing and moving, and on both days they arrived more than two hours late. On the first day, they were so late that they failed to finish packing and left the job incomplete. On the second day, we were told they would arrive early, yet they did not show up until 1:00 PM. By 3:00 PM--while loading the truck--they realized the moving truck was not large enough to fit our belongings. They then scrambled to find an additional truck, claiming they had "too many trucks out" with one of their vendors. At one point, they even asked my husband to put the additional vehicle on his personal credit card, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. These delays pushed our move back significantly. We didn't arrive at our new home until 11:00 PM, and the move wasn't completed until 1:00 AM due to the company's extreme lack of planning and professionalism. Once we arrived, we discovered that none of the boxes were labeled, items were thrown inside without protective wrapping, and several of my antiques and glass items were damaged or broken. Joe Charles was particularly unprofessional throughout the process. We only tipped the two workers assisting him, as they were not responsible for the poor management and execution of this move. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company entirely.
