RMB Construction replaced the 7' tall, four-panel sliding glass door in my house and I am very…read morehappy with the finished result. My old door was leaking and I wanted to get a new one put in by someone who know what they were doing. Rich was very responsive with getting me a quote that I found to be very competitive. After discussing the project with him I felt like he knew what was required to successfully complete the job. Once the new door arrived the project was scheduled very quickly. They were very professional, were careful about working around my house, and kept the area clean after they were done for the day. It was a three-person crew including Rich, his son and a third man. They were able to complete the project in 4 days (allowing for inspections and time for materials to dry). There was a little rain over the weekend (in the middle of the project) and Rich swung by on a Sunday to make sure that there were no problems with water getting to places it shouldn't. Very nice touch. During the whole process I felt like they were paying attention to all of the small details so that the final result would be great, and it is. After several substantial storms I am ready to declare my house to be water-tight! I would gladly use Rich again.

I got quotes from 4 window companies--AWC wasn't the cheapest, but the cheaper guys seemed impatient and/or unsafe. Mark was very patient in answering my many, many questions. He was also very cooperative and communicative in scheduling, and there was a lot of scheduling w/ other contractors, rain storms, inspectors, etc. The crew, Aleks and Yuri, were super hardworking, fast, professional, and courteous. It's obvious that they take great pride in their workmanship. They set down tarps and cleaned up after themselves, even carefully cleaning the glass and making sure I inspected everything to my satisfaction. I don't detect any moisture intrusion after the recent storms. I would work AWC them again and recommend them!

He helped explain to us our options and got us an estimate and contract the next day. He was very responsive and was able to get our order placed and delivered in less than the estimated two weeks. The Midgard windows he installed have a 10 year warranty and we will certainly use American Windows Center if we have any window needs in the future.

They had me take pictures, and there was a usual back and forth. Keep in mind that the company is called "GOLDEN BAY GLASS." So I am asking for an updated quote as I removed the bars myself and then mentioned they would need to inspect the window now, which is fine. I send them my address based in San Francisco, and all the sudden: "We do not work in San Francisco." So a company called "GOLDEN BAY GLASS" does not work in San Francisco? ARE YOU BLOODY KIDDING ME? Where is the "Bay" in your name if you do not work in San Francisco?!? SAN FRANCISCO IS THE BAY! It's called the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA! There were scratches everywhere, several stripped screw heads, screws that are not screwed all the way in. Basically as if it was assembled by a new hire and nobody quality checked it. I reached out to Maurie Bennet the owner, he came to my house and basically spent 15min to explain me how my guys scratched it, and was very dismissive about the screws saying it's not a big deal. He never apologized, or showed interest to take accountability and help. His response to my question about Anderson being a high end company and I'd expect a better quality from such an expensive product: "this is not expensive, I have doors that cost 10k". Couple of weeks later, I got a package from Anderson with paint and screws, as if I ordered a DIY kit to fix my brand new 5000$ dollar door.

I reached out to Bennett Glass because they came recommended through the Milgard website, and I'm so glad I did. They were able to order the glass, replace the broken glass unit, and do it very affordably within a week's time. They had to order the glass to custom fit our window size, so that's the only reason it stretched out to a week. Really happy with the results, and will definitely call them again and recommend them to others if we have any window or home glass repair needs in the future!

Over 20 years later some of the dual pane window seals failed. So I called Kolbe and Kolbe. They worked with me to get complete replacement sashes. The price was very fair and their local service person (Andy) along with the National Service Manager (Jerry Budnick) got involved and made sure everything went smoothly. Believe me, this level of customer support was appreciated. When the time came to completely replace the 34 year old patio door due to a rotted sill I again chose Kolbe and Kolbe. I called Murray and Larry in sales came out to measure and quote the door. It was expensive but in my mind worth it. It was July 2022 and lead times were long due to Covid related supply chain issues. It took over 6 months to get the door. And was eventually installed by a qualified contractor in June 2023. Everything was fine for awhile. Yet after time it started making a loud noise when it closed. Something just wasn't right. So I called Murray and spoke with Lisa in the Service Department. She scheduled Preston to come take a look. When he arrived, he noticed a trim piece on the staionary panel had come loose. So he disassembled the door and secured the piece. He suggested I paint some primered areas, which I did. It took a little longer to do the job but I was happy to do it. Once the paint was dry he carefully put everything back together, and adjusted the rollers and the lock. Once done the door closed smoothly, effortlessly and quietly. I was thrilled. I know this has been a long review. But here are the key takeaways from my prespective as a long time customer. First, Kolbe & Kolbe makes an outstanding product. Heads and shoulders above what you find in the big box stores. Secondly, they truly stand behind their product, even when it's out of warranty. Lastly, their service is top notch.
