I am a Black blue-collar worker who came in today for something as simple as a bucket. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was disappointing. I watched the customer ahead of me receive a warm greeting and friendly conversation, but when it was my turn, I was met with complete silence. When I approached the older lady at the counter, I said, "Good morning," and received no response. When I said, "Thank you," I was again met with silence. Whether intentional or not, the difference in treatment was noticeable and left me feeling unwelcome. This is a sad reflection of the times we live in. Morgan's has been my go-to hardware store for the last year now. They're always quick to offer help when I arrive and have given good advice on items for various projects. They have a pretty extensive garden section and I've never had issues with pests in their plants (which was a problem with the other garden shop I was using). I even attended a ladies night event and was able to snag some good deals! We used Ace when our Stihl blower stopped working and had it back as good as new within the week. We had accidentally been using the wrong fuel mix, and Tony helped point out the correct one to help it run better for longer. We will definitely use Ace again for our future projects! read more

Lets start off by saying since they have been open we have purchased Stihl products from chain saws, blowers, edgers, weed whackers, blades all with no issues. However over the last year we have noticed a terrible attitude with customer service and helping you find what you need without an attitude! Today 2 of us were in this store looking to spend between $450.00 and $700.00 on a new gas powered lawn mower. Four employees in store doing nothing , 2 in paint area and 2 in the lawn mower section. We asked for assistance only to be told no one knew anything about the lawn mowers.. these are the same 2 who had an attitude in the stihl section ... Not one would even attempt to answer the most basic question on the mowers...! No problem.. we went to Loews and received plenty of help and bought a gas powered lawn mower! We will no longer shop or do business with this ACE Hardware as our money spends anywhere with good customer service! How sad they were good at one time! read more

Went in today to look at zero turn mowers. Ready to spend approximately 4k on one. Young salesman was quick to ask if I needed any help and I proceeded to ask my questions. He didn't have the answer and had to walk back to the store manager to get the answer. After the 5th question and the 5th time the young guy had to get his steps in, I felt it was time to do my research online or at another store. Why the store manager didn't get up to see if he could offer any assistance is beyond me. I guess a $4000 sale isn't that important. Tractor Supply carries the same mower so there are other options to spend my money. read more

Customer Service: I asked for some Advice about trying to get my fathers lawnmower to engage the deck blades and if I needed a new belt. The 30-40yo dark brown haired "lawn mower fix it guy" said..."we don't give out advice for free, bring it in and we'll fix it". I get that they need to be paid for their efforts and expertise but I was wondering what part I should buy from him and try out as I had no way to get a riding lawnmower there. Very very sad experience with a new grill purchase. Came into the store to order a new grill with assembly, the date of arrival came and went with no grill to show for it, i called the store who scrambled and couldn't find my order. Finally they found it in the system (claimed cyber attack) however i sew the printed work order when i was in the store originally to order it. Well they didn't have my grill and they showed up with the floor model, exactly what i didn't want, or i would have taken it home the day i paid... The floor model that showed up was missing hardware, broke clips ect. What a mess, i will drive 2x the distance to the next ace or just go to home-depot. read more

Morgan Ace Hardware used to be a great store when it was in downtown Woodstock, seems like management has changed since the move... I see why Star count on here is so low. As an amputee now, I order a lot of stuff online as going out is difficult. I was in need of some items and placed an order where the website said that the items were IN STOCK, the email confirmation said they were also IN STOCK. I had given my wife s cell number on the order since she was picking it up, so if there was a problem, they could text/call her. She arrived there to find that the order was cancelled due to NO STOCK on either item! I did receive an email... but my laptop was not on after the order was placed. A simple call could have saved her time in her busy errand schedule and gas! Shop elsewhere, these people are too lazy to keep up with inventory or make a phone call when necessary! read more

Just moved to the area. Home Depot directed me here since they didn't have what I needed. Ace had everything I needed along with amazing customer service. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff. It felt very customer oriented and comfortable. Joe went above and beyond and Reggie as well as the rest of the staff were awesome. read more

My husband and I went to our local Stihl chainsaw dealer in Jasper to ask about having a chain resized via removing a few links (or buying a new bar to fit it). It turned out the only possible solution was to remove links from the chain. A super helpful person at the Stihl dealer called around and talked to someone at Morgan's Ace Hardware. We heard the entire conversation on her end, and it was crystal clear that they understood what kind of chain it was, what kind of chainsaw we had, and what we needed to do. They told her they had a guy who could do what we needed. So, we drove all the way to Woodstock only to be told exactly the opposite once we arrived. A completely wasted trip for no good reason at all. Sometimes I think people do things like this just to be jerks. I know I'll never set foot in this store again. read more

A stunning blend of lack of product knowledge and rudeness combine for a most uncomfortable shopping experience. I have bought a lot of expensive outdoor tools and equipment here but still get treated very poorly and get zero help on support or parts for that gear. In the last two years I have never been to the service desk when someone isn't screaming about being ripped off and I get it. When you drop stuff they tell you a price, well that's just the shop fee then they double or triple it leaving for an unpleasant surprise on post up. read more
