Simply the best Woodland has to offer, from burgers to Irish fare, an outstanding rotating beer-taps selection, and the highlight of it all, the Whiskey Vault

Soft and delicious pretzel bites: tender overall, slightly crisp outside and slight sweet taste similar to a pancake. Very nice! Pretzel with beer cheese only. I think I will be dropping by here regularly to pick these up! Patty Melrose are very tasty; nice toast on the marble rye, melted cheese all over the bread, no bread going to waste here! It was a little bit greasy. I had to wash my hands twice. Strong mildew smell on entry. Getting takeout might be better. It was dark like a tavern, so I had to brighten up the photos.

Sipping on a Hazy during my first at Woodland's Father Paddy's!! Found this place by accident and inside is really cool!!

Father Paddy's Irish Pub - Woodland, CA Father Paddy's is pure charm. Housed in a historic bank building, the highlight is the original vault, now a cozy, beautifully lit whiskey room packed with an impressive selection. It's small, intimate, and feels like a special secret every time you step inside -- worth a visit just to see it. I stopped in on the evening of December 2 and ordered the Shepherd's Pie with a side of fries and a grilled cheese sandwich to go. The Shepherd's Pie was hearty but the mashed potatoes were drier than I prefer, and the fries arrived on the soggy side. The grilled cheese was very plain (just basic bread and cheese), though to be completely fair, I ate it several hours later after it had cooled down. I'm confident it would be much better fresh and hot right out of the kitchen. I came back the very next night (December 3) and everything changed for the better. This time I had the Fish & Chips -- the fish was perfectly cooked, the batter light and golden, and the fries came out exactly as I asked: hot, crispy, and spot-on. I also grabbed a St. Joseph's Turkey Sandwich to take with me. Unfortunately, like the grilled cheese the night before, I ate it a couple hours later, so the cranberry relish was not good and the sandwich was missing the cream cheese spread. Lesson learned: eat Father Paddy's food fresh whenever possible! The real star of December 3 was my server, Sylvia. She was warm, funny, attentive, and genuinely proud of the pub -- the kind of server who makes you feel like family. She elevated the entire experience. Father Paddy's is still finding its footing in places, but when the kitchen is firing on all cylinders (and you eat your meal right away!), the food is solid, hearty Irish-American pub fare in one of the coolest settings in Woodland. The corned beef dishes, fish & chips, and that incredible whiskey vault are calling me back already. If you're in the area, give Father Paddy's a shot. Grab a pint, admire the vault, let Sylvia take care of you, and enjoy your food hot and fresh -- you'll leave happy. I know I'll be returning soon to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended!

A former bank, Father Paddy's is the local watering hole. Friendly staff, spacious setting and solid drinks (they made me up an off menu spicy ginger marg that was quite tasty), with a section of board and card games for both kids and adults, and seemingly live entertainment many a nights. The food was fine, but pricey for what it was. My $17 blt was definitely a bit pedestrian with less than ripe tomatoes and standard bacon. They do have a kids menu and my son enjoyed the chicken tenders. We were a big group at lunch with about 10 kids and they handled us well. Overall, as a visitor a sold spot for some fare, but I imagine this is a great locals spot.

We were back in Woodland today so we stopped at Father Paddy's for lunch. Former bank building turned restaurant. Will to come back to check out the whiskey vault. Had mushroom triple cheese burger. Very well done huge amount of fries. Paula had the winner fried balogna with pickles and mustard. Came with house made kettle chips that were perfection.

Stopped in for dinner with a friend as we had not been in for a while and was looking for a good cocktail. We were seated right away and given menus. It was a little later in the evening so not too crowded and was not as loud with less people. Hubby ordered the Shepherds pie with a Smithwicks and I had the Corned Beef Salad with an Old Fashioned. Both were delicious and their cocktails are very good.

Was driving through Woodland and didn't even know there was a downtown type of area here but Yelp lead me to find something and decided to take mom and sister for their food stop on the way to the casino. I believe parking is on the street only so that can be a drag but we got lucky and found a spot not too far away. On Saturday afternoon, they had half the restaurant filled and only one server. I had to temper my expectations because of this, but was pleasantly surprised by the effective server and kitchen staff. Food came out relatively quickly and knowing that there was only one server, we made sure to put in all of our food/drinks at one time. I got the fish and chips, mom got salmon, wife and sister both got BLTs. Other reviews said Fish and chips were huge, but they were just average sized. Nothing too spectacular, but at the end of the day still satisfying. I got them with the house chips just to try them as everyone else got fries, and I was pleasantly surprised by them. Not too thick, not all greasy AF. I actually prefer them over the fries. Both the wife and sister liked their BLTs. Again, nothing too fancy, but still satisfying. Mom appeared to like her salmon and side salad. No complaints all around. The space itself is like a nice airy bar as it looks like this place might have been a bank at one point. Good mom and pops type of feel with a bar atmosphere. Would recommend.

Customer service was awesome! Very friendly & attentive staff. Food was delicious. Ambiance was cozy! The band was not playing when we went but there were still lots of locals there.

We were in the area looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and have a drink. Let me tell you about the (emerald) gem we found. Father Paddy's is situated in an old bank. They have a whiskey vault! You can walk in the vault and gaze upon the whiskey spirits that beckon you to make a purchase and bring some home with you. Destiny was our bartender. She was super personable, friendly, and genuine. The grilled corned beef and cabbage (aka sauerkraut) on marbled rye, brought back memories. The corned beef was cut perfectly (so it wasn't tough), not fatty and the cheese was gooey and pulled just right for each bite. Honestly. I haven't had a sandwich that good since I left NY (over 25+ years ago). My husband had the fish and chips (recommended by Destiny). He said they were glakey and really good. Served with malt vinegar (as they should be). We enjoyed our drinks. I chose an Irish coffee as dessert...we're in an Irish bar...only logical choice. It was made to perfection. None of that whipped cream nonsense. A simple meal, great drinks, and wonderful service made for the perfect Saturday afternoon. We will make the 40-minute drive to get great drinks and food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Whiskey vault is ever growing and still amazing! Love their selection and prices. If you love whiskey, this is your spot! We have a couple of menu items for dinner that we gravitate to. Mine is the grilled corned beef sandwich. It's heavy duty pub food, but when you are HUNGRY and it's cold outside, we enjoy splitting that monster. The housemade mustard is awesome and the corned beef is juicy and tender. I have also recently discovered that Father Paddy's has an exceptional Irish Coffee. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

They keep the good whisky in the vault; a real vault in this pub which was a bank at one time. It's Irish pride is celebrated in the green lit bar. The menu runs the gamut of popular pub grubs like fish and chips, banger and mash to burgers and grilled sandwiches. Serving size is ample but the execution is uneven.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is awesome! Drinks are fun, great stuff on draft and all around just a great place to hang and enjoy!

    Bank vault tasting room.

Been going to Father Paddy's once a month or so for the past year. The bartender, she does a great job, super friendly courteous, and great service. We also have visited their bank vault tasting room. Both Pat, the owner, and Elia have hosted. These guys are very well versed on scotch's, whiskeys, and bourbons, etc. Great experience tasting the different varieties, and learning a little bit about these products. Great food, great experience, great staff!! Cheers!!!

The location is perfect right in the heart of downtown, surrounded by history and that small town charm Woodland is known for. You walk in and immediately feel the character of the place. It balances upscale and relaxed in a way that works whether you're there for a date night, business dinner, or just grabbing a drink. The lounge has great energy and always feels alive without being too much. The food speaks for itself. Consistently high quality, fresh, and well executed. This time, three of us ordered burgers, and they were some of the driest, most flavorless burgers I've ever had. Burger Saloon, I'll never betray you again. The experience itself felt unreal. We found out our waitress was on her 4th day working and she literally quit after taking our order. You truly can't make this stuff up. Another server had to come retake our order, and even then things still came out wrong. I asked for no cheese because I'm lactose intolerant, but my burger came with cheese anyway. Out of 7 drinks ordered, 3 were forgotten. One drink specifically requested no sugar on the rim and came out with sugar. I did feel bad for the replacement server. He looked incredibly nervous and was visibly shaking. Despite all the mishaps, we still left him a good tip because it honestly seemed like the whole place was struggling that night.

We opted for a low table. I ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries and my friend ordered the Chinichurri Tri-Tip sandwich with a side salad.
