Went to Morgan's for dinner last night and even though the kitchen was a little slow in getting the food out, our dinner was FANTASTIC. To start the French bread and butter Morgan's serves is too good! I had the skirt steak and fries which were a 5 on there own. Just have to remember to ask them to leave the butter off the steak! Delicious! Partner had Bell and Evans chicken and salad which was also excellent. They were out of the chocolate chip cookies so we ordered the double chocolate and oatmeal cookies. These took awhile but were worth the wait. The other cool thing about Morgan's is how many people we ran into that we know! From Coconut Grove to Miami Beach, our friends are driving to NE 29th Street to enjoy the great food and ambiance of Morgan's! read more

I have visited this restaurant for brunch quite often..the atmosphere is a cool vibe and the food is acceptable (the the best/ not the worst). Overall it's a cool spot a group of people can mutually agree to meet up, sit outside (unless you prefer the indoor which is quite small) on the patio, talk and eat and vibe. Today, I opted to call in for a takeout order, which I called in advance to go pick up for myself and my girlfriend. I drive over, pay for my food ... I should have checked the bag but instead I verified with the waitress that my order was correct and she repeated exactly what I'd ordered so I figured no problem. I make it home to find however, one of my ordered and paid for items were missing. It took me 11 calls back to back for someone to finally answer.. mind you they were NOT even busy. The same woman who took my order originally finally answers the phone, and she happens to be "the manager".. turned "Owner" within 2min of my calling to complain. She did offer to refund me my money for the missing item if I would come back (Duuuh).. but I can't get past how the lack of customer service was in her not wanting to extend any fixes for the "human mistake" she kept excusing for what happened. ESPECIALLY coming from the manager.. no wait, the OWNER. Lol. She actually yelled and talked over me so much, that I had to ask her if she was having a bad day and if she was OK?? Like.. the professionalism was zero. My friend called back to try and resolve the matter even further and her exact words were," she's trying to tell me to be more professional, and she started yelling at me (which I did not) so I yelled back" I was so turned off from this experience that could've sold been better handled that I will never ever spend my money there again. They don't follow Covid-19 protocols. I have been there multiple times in the past few months and it's always the same. The tables are right next to the waiting line. There were at least 5-7 people not wearing a mask on the line and definitely not following 6ft protocol. The line is a couple of feet away from the tables. Not worth the wait. The wait list app is bogus. I've used it for other restaurants and it's accurate so I think the problem is the restaurant. I checked in on the app at 10:30am , it said 17-33 min wait. I thought "wow! That's actually pretty short." I get there to check in, people in line say they were told 45 mins. I go check in & she tells me "there are two people in front of you." I checked back multiple times and she always said the same thing. We ended up being seated over an hour after we arrived. If we'd known it would be that long we would have never gone. Whatever at least we're seated now! As soon as the server arrived we gave him our drink & food order to hurry things along. The lattes were brought out promptly and they were really good. The food took another 30 mins and was not great. Not bad but not good. I am SO disappointed by this place. I have been coming here for a long time, and today I experienced the absolute worst customer service. I called THREE times, asking if they were open and if there was a wait time. Whoever was answering the phone was so rude. Answering the phone like it's her personal home phone and actually hung up on me twice! I ended up walking there for breakfast. Giving them the benefit of the doubt anyway. When we got to the hostess she said "there's no tables." And walked away.... So we stood in line for 10 minutes and then sat at the waiting area. Then to more parties came (a group of 2 and a group of 5), they sat the group of 2. I went to the hostess and said that it was ridiculous and we have been here waiting and explained us trying to call and having a bad time there too. And she's says she's FORGOT we were there (we were in plan site) and that it's our fault because we didn't follow the rules and stay standing. When nobody told us we couldn't sit down and wait! It's hot and we had a child with us. Horrible communication and service. This was very frustrating and sad because I like the food here and have had good service in the past. I love this restaurant. I've been here for brunch plenty of times. But the dinner is superb. They serve the most delicious mussels. It's a shame people really know them only for their brunch. I only put 4 stars because they're line for brunch is really ridiculous. They don't take reservations and in the Miami heat it's unbearable outside. Recently I went for Brunch and I was disappointed in the staff. Large groups of first timers unaware that you have to walk up to the hostess to secure your spot. These poor people waiting about 30 minutes in the heat. When I told the hostess she said "they should know". Well...they've never been here...so they don't.... pretty ridiculous. Ehh. It was ok. everything was subpar. The wait time at the bar inside was awful. They had one person working the bar and also tending to the people dining at the bar. We were able to grab seats at the bar since a couple was getting up. That worked out. I ordered the Pimms which was ok and my girlfriend had the Strawberry Rose...we ended up switching drinks bc I liked hers more. What are BFFs for! I ordered the chicken n waffles dish along w a side of berries. When my dish arrived I noticed the chicken seemed undercooked so I sent it back to be fried more. The waffle was not that good. However, at 1pm on a Saturday there were a lot of screaming toddlers running around, barking dogs and people conducting business using their "outside voices". The menu was OK - nothing special. I thought the pricing was kind of off. Some items seemed wildly overpriced while others were spot on. Portions and food quality were OK. I had the Med plate. The pecorino cheese was the highlight. The BF had the lobster salad, which came with a ton of lobster (nice!) that had been frozen and was still ice cold (not so nice!). The interior looks like South Beach in the late '90's - frosted glass, polished concrete Starck. It seemed a little incongruous to have such a cold interior design in a place that is known for its patio. I was expecting "Old Florida" Waitstaff was good but a little awkward. Came here 2 wks ago for brunch with a friend during my Miami vacation! The food, service, and atmosphere was absolutely excellent!! I order a fritatta and french toast which I read rave reviews about. My fritatta was perfect but the real star was the french toast with cinnamon butter and fresh berries absolutely the best I have ever had. We sat on the patio because the weather was nice. My friend order a omellete that thing was HUGE so beware they use 5 eggs I think but it looked delicious. I did order a sangria which I didn't like so I sent it back, it wasn't sweet at all, the server didn't mind bringing me a blue moon instead so it was no biggie. They had Sriracha which is my favorite condiment on the planet so it made up for that. Whenever I come to Miami I will be right here at Morgans enjoying delicious food. YOU MUST COME HERE! read more

What's better than having a Sunday brunch with your girlfriends who you've known since high school???? The added touch was choosing just the right restaurant. Morgan's has been on my to-do list for awhile now. It's a popular place, so make sure to add your name to their waiting list, as soon as you arrive. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. They have two floors and we were seated upstairs. Upstairs, to me, is much better than downstairs because you didn't have the feeling that it was crowded and you could hear the conversation without having to speak over the noise of the restaurant. Two of the three enjoyed our meals, but the service wasn't that great. We tried to order a vegan meal by making some additions, which was really just to add a mixture of sauteed vegetables to the potatoes (hashed spuds), which was a side order. The chef said he couldn't do that because the restaurant was too busy at the moment...How hard would it have been to add mixed veggies??? We tried to order the Veggie Grain Burger, but were told they ran out, last night. Hmmmm...I thought the food here was cooked fresh? What do you mean you ran out last night???...If it's not cooked fresh, then why didn't you go and buy some for your morning crowd?? I get annoyed with restaurants who have items on the menu, but when you order, they don't have the item. Makes no sense to me, especially if everything is being cooked fresh and if it's not, then you should re-stock for the next day. I settled on the frittata, which was filling and yummy! Definitely get the sticky buns, but just a warning, they are huge and can be shared with another person. They didn't have hot chocolate, which is always a disappointment to me, since I don't drink coffee. I think if you are going to serve breakfast or brunch, then you should always have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and an assortment of fruit juices available. The service could have been better. Our servers were slow getting to the table initially, so we just sat there for quite awhile, waiting for someone to take our order. Later, one person asked for water, which I think should automatically be served, and the waiter brought the water, never asking if the rest at the table wanted water too. So, of course, he had to go back because we did indeed want water also. I will give Morgan's another chance, perhaps trying them for lunch or dinner. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or pescetarian, then there are things on the menu for you, but your choices are still very limited, especially if you want a warm meal, rather than a salad. read more

We had a group of 18 come enjoy the chicken and waffles sandwich, eggs benedict, chocolate covered waffle, French Toast, Grilled Shrimp Cobb Salad and sooo much mimosas/sangria.. Call ahead to make reservations. They'll ask for a credit card, but won't charge you, as long as your party shows up. Jeez, where to start? First time here and I beyond liked it. We started off with beers and our server Miriam (which by the way was amazing and provided great customer service and was very nice and attentive) was kind enough to bring us samples of the beer they offer to make sure we ordered just the right one she also brought us a sample of the celery and kale soup which was very tasty. My boyfriend and I had the club chicken sandwich with fries, my favorite were the fries, perfectly seasoned and fried with a side of mac and cheese which , wow ,sooo cheesy and creamy, VERY good. I found this place on yelp and I am so happy I did. we ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich, which was a tasty twist on the usual chicken and waffle dish. our waitress recommended we mix the sriracha sauce and syrup together to dip the sandwich in. I am truly so disappointed in Morgan's, it use to be one of my favorite brunch spots but the quality and service has really gone down hill. Service: Our waitress only came to us for ordering food, other than we had to ask the bus boy to ask our waitress to come over, at one point another waiter was sent to our table so we could ask for another drink and for condiments which took about 15 minutes. The waitress didn't come until the end to ask if we needed anything else and to bring the bill. We waited about another 15 minutes to pay until we decided just to go to the counter. Food: My husband ordered the burger which was actually good and well flavored, but nothing out of this world. The mustard he added was what gave it the kick it needed. As for myself I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich, absolutely terrible (and I've had this meal before) but this time I couldn't even believe how bad it was. The waffles were dry and the chicken had zero flavor, the syrup didn't even help because of how poorly the whole thing was prepared. Conclusion: I would not go back. We had our baby shower here and I can't thank the owner Barclay enough, she was excellent the service was 11/10 The place was packed and we still felt as if it was intimate due to the separation from the other guests. The food was excellent and affordable the server Mildred was very attentive and we had zero problems with her or the rest of the staff, her only issue is with parking but it was still far better than any where in Wynwood with regards to parking. When you tire of Lincoln Road brunch check out this place, brunch is usually busy and they don't take r.s.v.p. they do have great outdoor seating which i prefer so your adorable dogs are welcomed. I would give their french fries 5 stars alone. i am obsessed with them. their sandwiches are all pretty good and the red wine sangria is pretty good too. Eggs Benedict are cooked perfectly, the french man sandwich is good too but i did not like the fact that the fresh arugula wilted and became difficult due to the fried egg, and i can become a bit messy especially for me, since i always make a mess eating. the chicken sandwich is great and the grilled cheese too but i would add sliced tomato or a little spicy mustard or both. But if you like grilled cheese plain i assume you will like it as is. The Benignant have to be ordered 30 minutes in advance and personally were not worth it. read more

Sure, they have an ample amount of seating, and their food is visually appealing. And yes, I was seated directly and greeted by the host. However, the frittata with egg whites I had for brunch was subpar. It was made with cheese, potatoes, and chorizo, but I could not make out any of these flavors. It was healthy to my liking though and was not too heavy, which I was aiming for, but where was the chorizo? melted cheese? potatoes? I saw it when I ate it. However, there could have been a larger portion of these ingredients in my meal. I think all of their other food items are better because my friend seemed to have been pleased by her French toast. If the weather is lovely, then this restaurant provides beautiful outdoor seating. The outside is furnished with wood and reminds me of a cabin from up north (even though I have never been up north, I have seen pictures). It is beautifully lit at night time and makes for a nice intimate setting. Inside looks brightly lit and a completely different atmosphere. Complimentary corn and white bread was served to us while we decided on what to order. The bread was warm and served with a slightly sweet honey butter. We ordered the cheese platter, chunky monkey and mango paradise smoothies, port braised brisket and wild king salmon. For dessert we ordered the beignets. The cheese platter actually came with 4 different cheeses, a brie, a blue, and two other hard cheeses. I am not really sure what they were, maybe a gouda and something else. I do not like really strong cheeses, but was looking forward to the brie and cheddar. Unfortunately the cheddar was not there, the blue was really strong, one of the other cheeses was also strong, and the other was okay. The brie was really good, but I wish the waitress would have explained the selection to us before hand. The apricot paste is decent, but scant and more bread should definitely be given. Our smoothies were really good. You could taste the ingredients that went into them and it was not overly filled with sugar or other sweeteners. Our entrees were tasty. The salmon was cooked really well, still juicy and tender, and the brisket could have been cut with a spoon. The portions were really good for the price, we had to take home left overs. We were looking forward to the dessert because I have read so much about the beignets. When they came I was shocked at the size of them, you get like four or five baseball sized doughnuts! Accompanying them was a caramel, raspberry, and chocolate sauce. The doughnuts were so light and fluffy, unfortunately they were lacking the buttery goodness of fried doughnuts. They get a 10 for texture but more like a 6 for flavor. The sauces were pretty good, but I have had better caramel and chocolate sauces. Overall it was a good meal. It was my second time at Morgan's. My first experience was right after I went skydiving and had an amazing brunch. You need to try the salmon eggs Benedict. The cheese board could have been a little more beefed up, but it could also have been that I was starving. Had a work celebratory lunch this afternoon. We were a party of 11. Service was great and prompt. We sat outside today, lending out team to the refreshing cool breeze. Had the roasted pork taco in corn tortilla. It was definitely a perfect portion with a great combination of flavor: enough heat from the sriracha aioli, the pickled onions added a nice brininess and the pork was well cooked. We split the Mac and cheese, which not only tasted delicious, but had the perfect silk and creaminess to it. The potato soup needed salt, but the smoked bacon was a nice surprise. I just think you can't go wrong here. They serve brunch all day which is great for us because we like breakfast at every meal. You can get crazy and over the top decadent with brioche pancakes or you can keep it healthy with egg whites and fresh juices. All meals are great here just great quality American comfort food, generous portions and decent prices. But we re partial to brunch all day. Also classic cocktails to accompany your brunch and some unusual champagne cocktails like one with violet flavor that comes out like lavender water. The inside is clean and cute but the outdoor patio is the place to be. They try to keep it cool in summer, it's shaded with fans blowing but we re in midtown Miami and there's only so much you can do. Don't let that be a deterrent. Bring your out of town guests here for a taste of modern Miami and one of the coolest neighborhoods wynwood. Ambiance/Service: 5/5 This place is decorated perfectly- can't get over how cozy it was. This was once a home so it's rather small, but the decor really did a good job at opening the space up. The outdoor seating is great, but since we were a large group (18 people) we were placed upstairs... Loved the view and the couch area was very comfortable. Our waiter was very very sweet and he handled our large group perfectly! However, the other waiters seemed so annoyed when my friend and I were walking down the steps to leave, it's not our fault that the place is small!! Food: 4.5/5 I ordered the raspberry and mascarpone stuffed French toast... It was very yummy but I wish the bread was a little crispier.. but forget about that, let's talk about the star of the show here... THE MAPLE BACON!!!! I could've died of happiness after trying it (I read so many good reviews about it on Yelp so I had to try!) holy crap!!!!!! That's what bacon is truly supposed to taste like.
