This is truly a beautiful place to have brunch if you are in the area. Most of the seating is on the outdoor patio with limited seating indoors. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because a lot of the breakfast items are à la carte so it is very pricey for just a main dish that doesn't include a side. Came May 27th around 12 pm. Staff (2 Servers in particular) is rude, nasty attitudes and nasty facial expressions while talking to them, the language barrier isn't an excuse they're just rude. Late with service, doesn't bring what was requested you have to keep on asking several times for them to still not provide what you ask as far as refills, utensils, drinks, etc. wasn't checked up on our entire breakfast and it wasn't even busy which would be understandable but it's not. The food is good but the service was too off putting, unwelcoming and un-inviting. Wouldn't eat here again , paid to be disrespected and ignored. And they also don't tell you gratuity is included so don't overtip!!!!! I shouldn't have tipped period, and I always tip. Sunny Side was our choice for a late breakfast on a Monday. We almost didn't go because when we arrived, there was no parking. We spun the block to another restaurant (they didn't have parking either), but ended back a Sunny Side where a space opened. When we entered we were seated immediately on the outdoor patio. It was not crowded, so we ordered and ate all within what seemed like 30 minutes. I had the avocado toast ($15) with a latte ($5). Both my toast and latte were standard, so nothing too amazing to write home about. My partner had the smoked salmon which came with roasted potatoes ($19) and a lemonade ($7). I tried the salmon and maybe it was just the piece I had but it was bland. The potatoes were really good and full of flavor, though. Key takeaways: - The food was good; I don't think it's possible to mess up avocado toast or smoked salmon. - Service was good. It's a small cozy atmosphere that was not too crowded. - The atmosphere was relaxing. The weather was beautiful, so we opted to sit outside, which had the view of a garden. - 18% gratuity is automatically included (there we 2 people in our party). I really like the location they have in South Beach so was excited to try the one on Biscayne and was not disappointed! The inside is small and only has a few tables but the back opens up into a nice open area with a big bar that is perfect for this time of year. We made a reservation for Sunday brunch and got seated right away even though our party was incomplete. They do have a small parking that was full but I was able to park on the street. The servers were nice and were able to provide good recommendations. We ordered omelets, egg benedicts and chilaquiles and they all came beautifully served. The presentation of the food 10/10 especially with the beautiful orchid flower! All the food is delicious that we tried. How can I explain this....i will never come to Miami and Not visit this establishment again. I had an amazing experience from my arrival to when I left. Our party initially was told a 30 min wait but then the hostess managed to get us immediate seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoor. There Is music playing, beautiful plants, a bamboo hay type vibe. And it's covered with a nice breeze flowing through so we were very comfortable. The waiter was nice and attentive. The menu looked so good it was hard to pick what to get so we all got a little bit of everything. I think the pics are self explanatory but I'll make sure I name the dishes. The food came out fast and hot and fresh! There was no need to add any hot sauce or salt and pepper for seasoning. Everything was flavored perfectly. They have a garden on location you can walk through that's very beautiful. It's clean and everyone hospitable. They have a parking lot and street parking, it wasn't far away. On Monday morning, we stopped by Sunny Side Cafe, a new breakfast and brunch restaurant in the MiMo District. It was a much needed and welcome addition to the area! There is plenty of parking in the back. Because it was raining so hard that morning, we chose to sit inside. It is a small but very cute and nicely decorated restaurant that has seating for about 12-15 people inside. The wallpaper is very attractive, with palm leaves and flamingos tastefully placed in strategic places. The chairs are comfortable, and there is a long wooden booth with comfy pillows against one of the walls for a smaller group. Outdoor Seating: There is a large outdoor patio with lots of seating set among many lush tropical plants. You have a choice of where to sit. There are also tall umbrellas to shield you from the sun. I ordered the Avo Salmon Toast, which was delicious and loaded with all kinds of goodies! My daughter ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, which was stacked with eggs, cheese, bacon, hash browns, and avocado in a croissant. She said it was delicious! We both ordered Cappuccinos to go with our breakfasts. They were yummy! For dessert, we ordered the French Cinnamon Roll, which is served with cotton candy, and the server pours hot creamy icing on top of the roll at your table. To die for! Our server was Javier. He was so kind and opened the door for us as we entered and pulled out our chairs at our table. Terrible management and hostess. We called four days ahead of time and were told they did not take reservations and it was first come first serve. We showed up and the hostess asked if we had a reservation and they weren't seating anyone without them. There were 8 other people in line with the same complaint and several empty tables. When i first came here, the ambiance was quite relaxing and inviting. However when coming with my mom, she had their huevo rancheros and it wasnt all that good. As for my food, the smoked salmon Benedict, it was decent to say the least. My main issue however was the service. The guy who tended to us was nice but i had to wait until the end of my meal for my smoothie to finally come because they were out of matcha.
