Food and service is excellent. Everything was delicious especially the popcorn shrimp and yellowtail.

My husband and I decided to end our Maui trip with a bang and chose Morimoto Maui for dinner on our last night at the Andaz. Chef Morimoto is our favorite Iron Chef, and we had a lovely dining experience at his Las Vegas restaurant many years ago. What makes his Maui location stand out, though, is the menu, which blends traditional Japanese cuisine with creative Western and Hawaiian influences. For our appetizer, we ordered one of their menu specials, a King Salmon roll that came with asparagus and a surprising addition of fried pickle. I could have done without the latter because it made the roll overly salty, but the King salmon itself was incredibly fresh and buttery, which helped balance out the unusual pairing. For our main dishes, we ordered the Chilean sea bass and the 16‑ounce Wagyu ribeye. The fish was cooked perfectly and featured a delicious black bean sauce that complemented its flavor and the accompanying vegetables nicely. The ribeye was also well‑seasoned and tender, although for its hefty price and wagyu label, we were expecting it to truly stand out. For dessert, we went with their ube Basque cheesecake, which was generously sized and perfect for those who prefer things "not too sweet". The restaurant offers an upscale yet relaxed ambiance with its oceanfront setting, which is especially memorable at sunset. It is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or end a trip to the beautiful island of Maui on a high note.

My husband and I went to Maui for our honeymoon an this was our one dinner splurge of the trip. My husband's favorite iron chef is Morimoto. I have actually never eaten at any food network chefs restaurants so we were both really excited! I didn't take too many photos because I wanted to be very present. The restaurant was at our resort which was nice. We got a table next to the pool and the bar. It was very intimate as there wasn't very many tables nearby. All the food was AMAZING 1. Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. It was super flavorful and the portion was pretty good for the price. 2. Sticky Ribs - WOW! This had to be my favorite out of the dishes we got. The ribs were so tender. The meat literally feel off the bone when you picked it up. When we're in public, I have to be able to use a fork with my ribs 3. Surf and Turf - gah I haven't had lobster in forever and I deffinitly missed it. It was all seasoned so well and a nice sized portion to be able to share. Even though everything was very good, I could of just ordered a few more orders of the sticky ribs. Trust me, if you dine here, you have to order it!!!

10 star location for sure I sat outside at the bar overlooking the ocean. Nestled behind the Andez Maui a 5 star hotel. If you're looking for a place to go with beautiful views go here. The service was very attentive, the bartender was slightly gruff but it was at the end of the day. I have an amazing glass of wine albeit expensive.

Morimoto was so good we went twice in our week long trip! It's located in the Andaz, and is a beautiful restaurant with sunset views if you time it right. I highly recommend making a reservation, as we still had a short wait with ours. Both visits we experienced excellent service. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu to make great recommendations. The duck fried rice and chef's choice combination sushi were highlights for us. Highly recommend if you're in Wailea!

Morimoto Maui is a definite 5 star experience, located inside the Andaz Hotel. We loved every moment of our dining experience. The service was impeccable. Our server was on it, and checked in quite frequently to ensure everything was brought out in a timely fashion. The food was divine. Fresh seafood, with impeccable flavors! I couldn't give a favorite but I've attached photos for ideas! There is also a kids menu which was just perfect for our littles and we truly appreciated that. The ambiance is spot on. Ocean views, pool views, and if you're lucky you'll see the Hawaiian dances in the Andaz Garden. Just lovely. Will we be back, definitely. This experience has us wanting to try other Morimoto eateries as well! Cheers to perfection Yelpers! Xx

We LOVED our experience here. Morimoto is located at the lowest pool level of the Andaz with complementary valet. The Andaz is a beautiful 5 star resort. The vibes and atmosphere were great. As many reviewers mentioned their sticky ribs is MUST. I also loved their sea bass and the clam miso soup. I thought the miso soup was delicious and stood out from many other miso soups I've had! We also got the makimoto sashimi which comes with 5 pieces all garnished differently and it was delicious. So fresh and the flavors meshed well. I would definitely come again!

I love Morimoto always have. This visit was one of the best. Sometimes it can feel like a food mill. Napa comes to mind but the diver in Maui was perfect. The waitress was super bubbly, funny, and a pleasure to chat with. She sounded exactly like Margaret Cho which was a trip. The pace of food delivery was excellent and each dish got better than the last. The location is really nice too, out at the Andaz pool. Morimoto is a must for us when vacationing in Wailea.

We are big fans of iron chef and so we wanted to try Morimoto while we are in Hawaii. Waygu beef carpaccio --thinly sliced Waygu beef in a citrus sauce . Local fish carpaccio-- love the fish texture and the citrus sauce. Ishi yaki buri nap -- so good with yellow tail slight seared. Server mixes it and told us that morimoto won his first competition with this dish. Kushi yaki -- lobster, pork belly, Waygu burger, and chicken Chef's selection of sashimi -- amazing presentation This place is amazing and the dishes are so unusual and delicious!

Nancy was really lovely! Andrew was fabulous in seating us by the pool at sunset hour! Fish carpaccio my favorite and the cod with miso sauce! Highly recommend this gorgeous setting!

Wow wow wow! I loveddddd this experience from world renowned iron chef morimoto! This is a must visit restaurant on the island of Maui. The fish is fresher than ever and the drinks are so unique and beautifully constructed. The aesthetics and service are one in a million. It's a bit of a difficult find unless you're actually staying at the hotel but there's plenty of people to help guide the way. I loved the sushi and I wish the tacos were all you can eat because I could've indulged myself endlessly. Thanks chef morimoto for bringing this gem to the Hawaiian islands.

We were promptly seated, and our server was extremely kind and attentive. We were very hungry, so we decided to order a little bit of everything. We started with an order of the cast-iron skillet shrimp, the Kahlúa pork pizza, and the Bulgogi tacos. I decided to try the blind tiger mocktail while my husband ordered a local beer. The shrimp were juicy and succulent, although I wish they had given us a few more. The Kahlúa pork pizza had a nice spice to it with the jalapeños, and the pork was so juicy and tender. But the winner for us was definitely the Bulgogi tacos. We both could have easily eaten an entire order on our own. To wrap up our meal, we couldn't pass on their infamous cream pies, so we decided to try the banana cream pie for there, and we took a slice of the coconut cream pie to-go. Both pies were absolutely delicious, but I think the banana cream pie slightly edged out the coconut cream pie for me. If you find yourself in Maui and looking for a delicious bite to eat, I would highly recommend Monkeypod Kitchen. Be sure to make a reservation if you aren't feeling in the laid-back, aloha spirit.

Service was spot on as our server, Matthew, kept a watchful eye on our table and needs, yet did not approach or interrupt us continually unless a plate was to be cleared off or to top off our drinks. We enjoyed their Paniolo Smash Burger, the Lobster Toast, along with an order of the delicious Mediterranean Meatballs. The Paniolo Smash Burger has two char-grilled patties of local beef topped with caramelized Maui onions, bacon and a slice of American cheese (we ordered their "burger sauce" on-the-side). The char flavor help define that "extra taste" on the burger -- Fries or Loaded Fries are available for an add-on. The Lobster Toast was served on focaccia lightly toasted bread, which was topped with a decent amount of lobster meat mixed with a milky -almost too much so- shaved fennel and whipped avocado salad. The portion was decent as an appetizer or for a light-eater's meal. The Mediterranean Meatballs was another delicious appetizer-size portion of three savory meatballs consisting of local pork & beef with a few spices. The underlying sauce of lemon yogurt with a hint of mint harissa made the dish sing. Delicious. Aurum Maui is a relatively newish eatery (July 2025) at the Shops of Wailea, and we hope they continue to thrive. As the restaurant got busier, the noise level rose considerably. The decor & layout are quite pleasant, but management should look for way to lower the noise level by adding some softscaping - but we enjoyed our dining experience here.

First Time at Maui Lobster King!…read more George and I stopped by Maui Lobster King in Kihei for the first time, and it was a fantastic lunch experience! We arrived right around 2:00 PM--perfect timing to catch that sweet spot between the lunch and dinner rush. The restaurant was incredibly clean on the inside, it wasn't busy at all, and we were seated immediately. (Bonus: If you're in a rush, they have a convenient dedicated counter right by the front for takeout orders!) The Details & Sides I have to give a shout-out to the presentation. George didn't think the branded logo accessories were necessary, but personally, I love logos! The more the better--especially when you're taking food photos, because everyone immediately knows where you are. We also tried the fries, which came out hot, crunchy, and served in an adorable mini fry basket. They were served plain, which is probably a smart move to keep salt from falling through the holes in the basket and making a mess on the way from the kitchen, but I definitely would have preferred them salted! George's Seafood Combo George ordered the seafood combo loaded with shrimp, snow crab, and king crab, which he thought was an excellent price for the amount of food you get. For his seasoning, he went with all the flavors combined and kicked it up to spicy. The Flavor: The spice level was pretty mild and manageable, leaning a bit more on the sweeter side, which was really tasty. The Seafood: He was seriously impressed with how perfectly everything was cooked--neither the snow crab nor the king crab were overcooked at all. The shrimp was absolutely delicious. The Sides & Sauce: The sweet corn and red potatoes soaked up the sauce beautifully. The sausage was good, though we both thought it would be next-level if they pan-fried it for a second before throwing it into the boil to give it a little extra color and texture! Overall, a super clean spot, great service, and perfectly cooked seafood. We'll definitely be back! XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

The Mac salad was one of the better Mac salads we had on our trip but it was still kind of average in my opinion. There were some little crunchy bits under the shrimp that was so flavorful when mixed with the rice. The chicken musubi was a big miss for me. Too much rice and not enough sauce. The fish tacos were massive. The fish had good flavor, although it leaned a little on the dry side for me. The coconut shrimp, however, were my favorite thing we tried. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We happened to arrive between their two happy hour windows, and while looking at the menu, we noticed that coconut shrimp were also available during the second happy hour along with other small plates. What I found odd was their happy hour policy. Apparently, you can only order from the happy hour menu if you've already purchased an entree and can show your receipt. I've never encountered that anywhere else, and it seemed like a strange business concept. Also, it is not posted anywhere that I saw. When my husband went back to order from the happy hour menu, the cashier asked if we had previously ordered food. He said yes, but our receipt was back at the table. For some reason, she had to go to the back to get approval before allowing him to order. It felt a bit awkward, especially since she was the same cashier who had taken our original order when we first arrived and we asked a bunch of questions, so I would def remember someone like me. lol That policy aside, the coconut shrimp were fantastic.
