They are well known as the best Japanese food in the state. I have been here twice so far and each time has been a hit. You can tell how loved this restaurant is by the line that forms, even in the cold weather before they open for dinner! Both their sushi and hibachi are delicious, and that is from somebody that typically isn't a big hibachi fan. I look forward to visiting more often, this place and staff are certainly a win. Went in today for Hibachi! Was greeted and seated right away! Staff is friendly and fast! Checked out the menu as it was a first visit for us! I had the steak & Shrimp w/ fried rice hibachi & husband has the Shrimp and Scallops and fried rice! I had the mushroom soup and he had a salad! Meh. I'm not sure why this place gets four stars. The food is just OK. The service is very friendly, but the ambience is not great. We each had a dinner special Bento box. I selected the vegetable tempura, fried Shumai, garlic broccoli, and instead of a California roll I subbed for a classic roll. I did not like the garlic sauce on the broccoli, though I was grateful the broccoli was not overcooked. The tempura vegetables were perfectly fried. the sushi roll was OK. It's was all sort of average. My friend got a fried banana for dessert and it came with whipped cream and maraschino cherries, which is not what I would expect after an expensive Japanese dinner. The service was good but a little slow and the restaurant was not busy by any means and that would be my only complaint. I've ordered the same thing at this restaurant for the last 5 years. Garlic noodles no seafood extra noodles. I've ordered on Door Dash (when they participated) and in person picking it up. Today I ordered and they gave me some weird cream sauce with no vegetables or anything. It was the completely the wrong order. Instead of making it right they argued with me as if I haven't ordered this a ridiculous number of times in the past. It's such a shame that the service and accuracy has dropped off this much. Been a few different times and have always enjoyed it. Is always delicious. There was some confusion the last time I visited and orders the hibachi grill. When ordered in the past, they have always given me the dinner entrée portion size and the last time I went, there was a miscommunication, especially on the menu between lunch version and entrée version. Make sure to ask your weight staff about portion size. Great ambience, enjoy the little rooms that they offer. Will definitely be going back. read more

This is really. 4.5 stars for the food desert known as Concord NH. Have eaten here 50 or so times since they arrived what seems like 25 years or so ago now. It's perfectly consistent, clean, average pricing and the dishes I've tried have been well executed. Have only been to the hibachi side a couple of times and it's fine, nothing to complain about and the normal interactive routine w flaming onion volcanos etc. Don't hesitate to get a meal here, takeout game is on point too. We have come to this restaurant so many times for the food for the atmosphere for the sushi bar. Sometimes the food is just a small part of what makes this or any restaurant worth coming back. Today was just such an example. You see today was not just another day. It was a day to celebrate the first day--really just a couple hours after my Thai wife became a citizen of the United States. So our server Robert decided to pay for our lunch. That kind of jester was unexpected surprising incredible. He already was such a great server better than most really proud of where he works and what he does thank you so much for making this day such a great start of a new chapter in our lives. People who came in after us finished and checked out before we left. Waiter apologized to other people, cleared tables and gave water refills - not us! Food was good, but unfortunately they made the cardinal sin of serving raw (or not thoroughly cooked) chicken to the customers behind us. YUK!!!!! I tell you, the couple were more polite (and hungry) than we were. They politely asked the waiter to send back the chicken to the kitchen so it can be cooked more.... I would have left! At the very least, the waiter should have offered them their meal for free!!! Raw chicken?? Unforgivable. Oh, and BTW, the men's restroom had no paper towels, and the air dryer was out of order... You could see kitchen employees coming in and out of that same restroom... So, did they wash their hands? I highly doubt it, but who knows... Thankfully, (our immunizations were up to date and) our meals were good. Two bento boxes. One of them did have something resembling chicken and it seemed to be cooked (enough). My coworker decided that she wanted sushi for lunch. Sushi is one of my favorite foods, so I told her to find somewhere for us to chill and munch. A couple of Japanese restaurants showed up in her Google search, but this one stood out to her because she also wanted hibachi. I've never had hibachi! I know! A foodie who hasn't experienced a staple in most foodies' careers. Hopped into Moritomo just before it closed for lunch time. I kind of wanted to sit at the sushi bar because it was just the two of us and I didn't feel like our presence was enough for a whole hibachi show, but whatever. I ordered the steak and chicken hibachi lunch special and my coworker got the chicken and salmon. Both came with a small salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. I didn't care for the soup and my coworker didn't care for the salad, so we swapped. The dressing was so good and the cucumber and lettuce were fresh. I could have eaten a bowl of nothing but cucumbers and dressing. For our appetizers, I got the age dashi tofu (deep fried) and my coworker got the spicy salmon rolls. So far, things were delicious, but then it was time for the show! I enjoyed myself. My coworker narrated the entire time, telling me what the chef was about to do or what sauces and spices he was using. He spun a couple of eggs, pulled a fake baby chic out of his chef hat, made a volcano out of a stack of onions, juggled a few things. Tried throwing some raw zucchini into my mouth, but that didn't work. I was thoroughly entertained, though! My steak, chicken, and fried rice was delicious. Steak was cooked to a nice medium-well and was very flavorful. I'm sure it had to do with the lemon the chef kept spritzing on the meat. The rice was the star. Loaded with fresh veggies like mushrooms, zucchini, and carrots. I wish I had gotten a side dish of it to go. I wasn't a fan of our server. I'm not trying to bash him for not being a native English speaker, but he had a very hard time understanding us. My coworker asked for vanilla ice cream for dessert and he misheard "banana." When I brought this up to him, he said, "It already been made." We know that, we can see that, you obviously didn't understand her which isn't the issue, but don't be indignant. I asked for fried ice cream and got what I wanted, but she was not a fan of hers, so once again, we swapped. The fried banana was actually pretty good even though I really wanted fried ice cream. The batter was slightly sweet which didn't overpower the already sweet banana. I would order it again. My coworker had never had fried ice cream before and she loved it as picky as she is. I was surprised! Food came to about $26 for each of us. Not bad for lunch. All-in-all, good meal, great entertainment, bad server. read more
