So good that we went twice in three days! We work across the street and have been wanting to try this place. We're only disappointed we didn't go there sooner. We got red curry, pad Thai, tempura veggies, and chicken satay. All of them were incredible and the portions were so big, we had leftovers for a couple more meals. The staff is nice and the prices are reasonable. My only "complaint" - and it's not even a complaint - is that the food is dry when reheated. We didn't have that issue when we ate in the restaurant though, nor when we did takeout to eat during a working lunch. read more

I've supported this local business for quite a while, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I called in a takeout order, arrived 30 minutes later, and was simply told that my order had never been entered. Mistakes happen--I completely understand that. What was frustrating was the complete lack of an apology or any effort to make things right. In a small community, customer service and relationships matter just as much as the food. I've always tried to support local businesses, but experiences like this make it difficult to keep coming back. I hope they take this as constructive feedback and place a greater emphasis on how they treat loyal customers when mistakes inevitably happen. read more

Located in the former Smoothie Bus Shoppe space across from the Federal building, Asian Thai Kitchen is a cozy Asian restaurant offering sitdown dining and takeout. They serve mostly Thai food and other Asian dishes here including noodle dishes, fried rice, curries, soups, salads, stir frys, appetizers, desserts, and Pepsi products in the cooler. The pricing seems fair. I stopped by Asian Thai Kitchen for takeout recently. I ordered the Tofu Green Curry Combo ($14 plus tax) served with rice (got brown rice), 2 Thai Crispy Rolls and 2 Gyozas and a Tom Kha Soup with Shrimp ($7 plus tax). The place had a few customers seated and dining in. My hot food order was all set to go in 10 minutes. I drove back to the house and the food was still very hot. The Thai Crispy Rolls served with a hot sweet chili dipping sauce were very similar to the Panda Express spring rolls, crispy fried semi thick wrap filled with cabbage & carrot. The small fried gyozas were firm and filled with ground chicken. The green curry dish had a mix of green peppers, bamboo shoots, peas, green beans, basil, & green chili paste with minimal creamy sauce. The brown rice was cooked just right. The tom kha soup had a savory flavor with plenty of fresh mushrooms, lemongrass, cilantro and 2 firm shrimp (cleaned with tail shell). Overall, the food was pretty good and cooked fresh. I would come back here to try their other offerings including the pho soup, pad thai noodles, and drunken noodles. read more

Super friendly but the food was meh. I got takeout on a Thursday night. The place is feels more like a takeout place but they do have a few tables and all were full, plus there was steady take out business too. Just one woman working the FOH all by herself, I think maybe the owner. She was super friendly, attentive and definitely moving quick. I tried a new to me dish, Pad Woon Sen, and it was completely devoid of any flavor. The noodles were cooked well but flavorless. The veggies were fresh but way under done and this is coming from a person who likes her veggies just lightly cooked with some snap. Unfortunately the green beans were almost completely raw. The chicken had no flavor and was dry. There wasn't even any seasoning of any kind let alone no sauce. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be? Thankfully I had sriracha at home!! Welcome addition to the Concord food scene. I like the simple mom&pop style ambience, welcoming and warm. Bathroom is very clean. Service is super efficient and friendly. The two dishes I had were excellent, but just needed a little more salt or soy sauce for my palate. I'll definitely be coming back for more. read more

First off, we (party of 3) arrived at 8:05pm and they told us they were takeaway only because they "close at 9." Huh? Maybe...put that on your door sign then? The food was just ok, not great. Very complete menu. Duck was tender and nice. Mango rice dish excellent- large portions. Tempura ok, dipping sauce fine. Green tea was just a teabag in hot water Somehow I expected more..... Wife enjoyed the mango BOBA. I believe the owner was the server- very upbeat and smiley! Not much ambiance- fluorescent lights and minimal decor. I don't live close to Concord and Asian restaurant options are pretty scarce, so I was happy to try this place when I was in town yesterday afternoon. After reading available reviews I ordered takeout with rather high hopes. It's a nice space with a friendly proprietor. I ordered two entrees (Spicy Pad Thai and Mango Curry (both with chicken)) and one appetizer (Thai Crispy Rolls). It was prepared quickly but wasn't cheap (($51 plus tip). When I got home about an hour later (food kept in an insulated bag), I tried the Crispy Rolls; they were mushy and tasteless. The entrees were flavorful, but the chicken was in the form of large strips and very tough. I pretty much like just about anything (over 30 years in the Army guarantees that) and wanted to like this restaurant. However, my experience was disappointing. I will not be returning. read more

I took my two teenage sons out for our weekly meal a couple of weeks ago. The food, prices and ambiance were decent, but the service was terrible. The server was extremely rude to us, but seemed to fall all over herself trying to please other patrons which stunned us since we were the politest customers in the place. The staff are so friendly, lovely music playing softly in the background, fresh hot delicious food that is beautifully presented and generous portions large enough to split. My noodle dish arrived with an orchid, orange slice and lemon for squeezing over the top. Wonderful Thai iced coffee too! I'm never disappointed. Parking has always been easily available also. read more

5th time at this establishment. Straight foreword and honest American Thai food. Very cleanly run operation with friendly front of the house staff. The portions are generous and thoughtfully prepared. This is a small but very busy establishment, and I've found that ordering (calling) ahead well beforehand results in a pickup that ready EXACTLY when you get there. Hot and fresh. Combo appetizer for two will feed 3+ and is delicious. Samosas are very nice and Basil Fried Rice is spot on. Both chicken and pork Kra-Pow are excellent choices, as are their vegetarian entrees. The kitchen has been accommodating to our requests for spiciness and extra protein/vegetables at a modest upcharge. We haven't yet tried Thai Kitchen's curries or noodle soups but we will. Parking is on-street but it's no particular challenge to find a space close by. There are about 7-8 tables and the atmosphere is simple. I'd say this is well above average for a typical Asian take out place. If I worked close by, I'd easily find myself dining there once per week. You won't be disappointed. read more

My girlfriend loves Thai food I usually not in love with it at all but eat here for the first time tonight it is amazing it makes Chinese food look like trash I will never again have Chinese food and will always order from this restaurant probably one of the best meals I've ever had try the appetizer special and mango rice it's so good. We wanted to love the food, but it is just ok. The subtle Thai flavors were missing and the spice was overwhelming on a mild dish. We ordered the orange Thai chicken and it was so spicy and drenched in the sauce. Drunken noodles were good, but not great. Dumplings and gyozas were bland and we didn't care for the dipping sauces.
