So glad we stumbled onto this gem! Very cute place, both inside and out. We were greeted promptly and told we could sit anywhere. Our server was awesome and took our drink and appetizer orders while we pondered the large menu. For an appetizer the three of us split the scallion dumplings - these were excellent and just the right small tasty bite to tide us over. For entrees we had the Yum Isan with beef (a deliciously spicy and tangy salad), the Basil Fried rice with Tofu and the Pad Thai with chicken. As we split our dishes family style, the selection offered a great balance. Parking is on the street, but at least not the most crowded bit of downtown, so spots were fairly easily available. All in all a really quality find that I highly recommend! read more

Aroi Thai has opened a second location in the former Col's Kitchen space on South Main Street in Concord. Their other location (formerly Siam Thai Kitchen) is on NH 125 in Barrington. They offer a selection of Thai & Asian dishes, plus sushi & poke bowls. The menu is sort of similar to another Thai eatery on Pleasant Street. The space offers a full service dining room with table seating and takeout counter & sushi bar seating in the back. I stopped by Aroi Thai for lunch takeout recently. I ordered the Green Curry with Tofu Lunch Special ($13 plus tax) served with jasmine white rice, salad & one veggie gyoza. My order was ready to go in about 10 minutes arid they also gave me a complementary Thai iced tea. I headed back to the office to enjoy my lunch. The portion of food was just right. The green curry had a mix of fresh green beans, green peppers, bamboo shoots, peas, & green chili paste in a spiced cream sauce. The rice was soft and dense. The green salad had leaf & iceberg lettuce, tomato, carrot & creamy ginger dressing, The small firm veggie gyoza (green) was filled with soybean mix. Though my vegan boss was very disappointed about Col's Kitchen closing over a year ago, I am glad to have another option for Thai food in its place. read more

Tried the Chicken Pad Thai and the Tofu Red Curry with brown rice lunch specials. Did takeout while up here for a concert. Pad Thai was 4-4.5/5. That's very good for Pad Thai. I asked for it sweet and they did pretty good with it. The Red Curry was excellent, I think I asked for it as a 2 on hot scale...I think I red there scale online but ordered by phone and then picked it up 10 minutes later...it was HOT...can't imagine what a 3 would have been, I would say adjust down 1. 5/5 though. Total with taxes was $32 I think-pretty fair for the portion. Would def come here again! read more

Second experience at Aroi and we continue to be impressed! Excellent service from Vanpheng and the kitchen staff. I absolutely loved the flavor of the Panang curry, it was rich without being too heavy. Great to see the consistency with the food and service, with the interior being just as clean and inviting as during our first experience. read more

Another nice new addition to concord's restaurant scene. Nice ambience , fast and friendly service. I had the ginger spicy duck, came out perfect. Also had the thai iced tea - super tasty. I'll come to try the rest of the menu. Eat here! read more

Called for takeout Saturday evening. We've been in New York City for the past 5 years, and this is still some of the best Thai we've ever had! We requested "3" on the 1-5 spice scale and it was perfect for my parents well-seasoned palettes; a very flavorful type of spice (not just heat). Would especially recommend the Massaman curry, the larb, the triple delight, and the samosas. Will definitely be coming back for the great food read more

Everything was delicious. Service was lacking as they got busy and I don't think they were prepared for it. We try drunken noodles most Thai places we try, this was the best yet. We also got the combo appetizer as we wanted to try a variety of items. There was not one item we disliked. Tried something new to us called Singapore noodles. A bit salty for my liking, I think it was the curry they used that made it that way. We will return and we will recommend to others. read more

The owner is very accommodating and friendly. We went on a busy night as a concert was going on across the street. The space is adorable. The seating area is small but tables were arranged thoughtfully with enough room in between. Server/owner was helpful on the menu. We were sat right away and our apps came out quickly. The lettuce wrap was not your ordinary, delicious. Spring rolls were fresh and peanut sauce was too good. The drunken noodles were out of this world. The fact that I'm willing to drive more than an hour back is enough said! read more

We stopped by for an early lunch at Aroi today, and wow! Friendly,competent staff, a cozy and pretty atmosphere, and most of all delicious and fresh food. The pad thai was excellent. I just got soup and an appetizer with a friend here, but everything was excellent. The spicy coconut had a kick yo it but I like that. Their peanut dipping sauce was delicious. Prices are reasonable, and the restaurant is squeaky clean since it's pretty new. Nice atmosphere, nothing exceptional but pleasant.
