After calling Will's shop and speaking with Riley, she offered for me to bring it in the following morning to run some diagnostics and provide me with an estimate. I brought the vehicle in early that morning, and by the afternoon, I received a call from Will with the results. Unfortunately, the cost of the repair exceeded the value of the vehicle, as it had 200k miles on it, so I am electing to purchase another vehicle. Will was kind enough to email me a detailed itemization of the repair expenses. It was obvious he had put a lot of time into the evaluation and repair estimate, which he did not charge me for. Although I did not utilize his repair services, I can advocate for his professionalism, transparency, and honest business practices. Another important item to note is that I had called about 5 other repair shops around Kalispell and Bigfork, and his shop was the only one that had the equipment and skill set to do the job, besides taking it to the dealership. Unfortunately, it was more than they could work on. Didn't have parts or the tools. After calling at least 5 or 6 other mechanics from Livingston to Bozeman, from dealerships to private mechanics, we finally found Chris at Northwest. We had verbal quotes all over the place and scheduling was July, September and maybe we can fit you in. My husband had called our mechanic in Florida so we knew what it should cost. We needed a new cam and follower. Apparently, this is s common problem on Jeeps with 100,000 miles. We dropped the Jeep off on a Friday with an appointment on the following Friday. We also had a written quote, (not verbal). It was risky to keep driving it so we thought it was better just to leave it at Northwest. Chris said if there was a cancellation then he would work on the Jeep. On Tuesday morning by husband received an email invoice. The Jeep was repaired, ready for pick up and within to quote. We are so thankful that there are still honest, reasonable and reliable mechanics out there. There's so much more to this nightmare, but thanks to Northwest the Jeep is back to exploring.

Charged me over $200 for what turned out to be a totally wrong diagnosis. Went to Don Aadsen Ford and they did a physical inspection -- now there's a thought -- and saw that the cabin air filter was chewed. Used a camera to find a dead mouse lodged inside causing the whirring noise. Their entire repair was less than K-O's incorrect diagnosis. Went back to K-O to let them know, thinking they might realize their error and want to refund me at least a little. Nope. Held strong to their incorrect diagnosis and said the blower motor would die on me -- which it has not, everything is working just fine. Wish I'd never gone here.
