    Afternoon tea

Pleasant place to take a break from walking and enjoy a pastry and drink. Cozy, relaxing vibe.

Incredible selection of Danish pastries in this cute, cozy and historic cafe. Almost every table was full when we decided to pop in and take a peek. I ended up getting cinnamon roll to go and my boyfriend got a smoothie. Both were delicious and flavorful.

One of the oldest cafes in Copenhagen, and has a visitors list that is a whos-who of the world. Try their sandwiches, you won't be disappointed. Great place to sit and eat has a old world charm which will keep you sitting around. Very close to Nyhavn and the Rosenborg castle so good place to grab a snack.

Really cute place, filled with antique danish decoration. Wacky yet quiet, looks like a traditional place to hang out with really good home made pastries. Scones seem to be the weapon of choice, with really good coffee.

Amazing! Adorable cafe with delightful baked goods. The service was very nice and happily changed a wrong order.

Adorable cafe! Great little spot for a sip of tea and delightful baked good. Lovely window seatings to view the busy streets of Copenhagen. The service was very quick and nice, they even corrected a wrong order with no hassle. Prices are great and the decor is simply adorable!!!

    Pesto chicken and carrot cake.

I had the pesto chicken and a piece of their carrot cake. I was actually happy with both choices. The place is not cheap, but not too overpriced. The sandwich was huge, and the cake was tasty, my total was was 80 DKK, not a bad deal for Copenhagen. Very cosy place with nice decor. I also wanted to use the Wi-Fi.

We walked ny this place heading to the palace. The rrstaurant is very much decorated with Danish touristy decor, ehich we found interesting. We ended up sitting outside as it was hot. The staff was friendly and had helped explain what the menu was in english. We had a egg and pesto burger and hc anderson smoothie (which was a mixture of berries) and a berry scone. The burger and smoothie were delicious! The scone is one of the best ive had! The staff was very thoughtful as to cut the burger in half for us as we were sharing. Had a great time at this cafe.

Very yummy lox sandwich----quite large. Recommend taking it to go for a nice picnic along the water. Price wasn't bad.

The sandwich was horrible. I don't know why this place is famous. Just cute interior. Bad sandwich.

Very authentic and I just love the atmosphere. Try the "kiksekage" for a real danish specialty and a real treat.

Always on the search for some authentic food native to the culture, you can certainly find it here. But you can also find lots of other stuff, too like tacos with fresh tortillas and mochi ice cream! FOOD: Some of it was great! Some of it okay. The smorebord was good but not the best I've had. Still I had the Danish meatball one and the smoked salmon one - both good but not great. Loved the fried fish and the pork belly! Supremely awesome. The mochi ice cream was a treat and the French meringue were simply delicious. I bit undercooked for me, but I can't turn down a good meringue. SERVICE: Overall, good. Nice portions. Great plating. And the people were all very nice. More like quick service but that's what you want from a place like this so you can experience different places. COST: Worth it. Nothing was overblown. All were a tad bit on the higher side, but not more than you would epxect. Definitely a fun place to go and check out.

WHAT A LITTLE GEM! 4.6…read more As we strolled around the area of our hotel, we came across this lovely neighborhood market. Flower stands with freshly cut flowers and an abundance of vegetable crates colored the exterior of the building's grounds. The enclosed building is made from beautiful glass and metal, with the inside feeling open and airy, making it feel a bit like a greenhouse with its natural lighting. We found an assortment of shops offering meats, condiments, pastries, baked goods, coffee, fresh seafood, pastas, prepared salads, sushi, lunch spots, cured meats, nuts, beer, wine, fresh herbs, sandwiches, caviar, ice cream, cheeses, housewares and gift items; quite the assortment here! The only thing that was difficult to find were non-food gifts for our friends that were actually made in Denmark. Most were manufactured overseas. We stopped and had a wonderful lunch at the very popular Hallernes Smørrebrød, seated at their bar. This market is definitely worth a visit.
