We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful restaurant. They redid the interior, making it much brighter and welcoming. Our server was excellent, very enjoyable and had a cheery attitude. We had the Chorizo burrito and the eggs Benedict. The Chorizo was very good! It had good flavor and a little backend heat. The eggs Benedict was also excellent with a large amount of hollandaise sauce and a very nice piece for Canadian bacon. First time here. Came with a friend for breakfast. Food: The menu features many of the breakfast favorites you find at today's modern breakfast cafés, along with a few signature items that make this place unique. Since it was my friend's birthday, they surprised us with a large plate of freshly made beignets, served piping hot right out of the fryer. They were drizzled with both white and dark chocolate sauce and served with a side of whipped cream. Delicious! For our meals, we both ordered the Avocado Toast. He got the standard version, which comes with two eggs. I chose the same dish with smoked salmon added. The food arrived quickly. Both dishes were very good, but with a few small tweaks, they could have been outstanding. We ordered our eggs over easy, but they were cooked a little longer than that, so there wasn't much runny yolk. The avocado was nicely mashed while still retaining some chunks, which I really enjoyed. The smoked salmon was fresh and generously portioned. The toast was also topped with diced onions and tomatoes. There were quite a few onions, more than I would have preferred. I removed a good portion of them, and there were still plenty left. Service: We received excellent service throughout our visit. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and given a choice between a table and a booth. We chose a comfortable booth, and our server, Shawna, did a wonderful job getting us settled in with water and drinks. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of. Very busy on a Tuesday early afternoon when my daughter and I stopped in for lunch. The menu has a lot of great options, primarily breakfast (as the business name suggests) but also a decent lunch menu. We started with cinnamon sugar churros, which were tasty although slightly overcooked. I liked that they came with two dipping choices of strawberry glaze and Nutella. I chose chicken caesar wrap with fries and my daughter had kids chicken tenders with fries. Both meals were large portions, especially the fries. The food was fresh and hot, although I would have loved a more flavorful caesar dressing in the wrap. Overall we had a good experience and can't wait to try breakfast next time. Service was top notch. Very friendly staff and answered all of our questions. I personally thought my hashbrowns were way over cooked for my taste and I left pretty much the top layer not eaten. My eggs were dry and not fluffy and did not eat most of them either. The pancakes were fluffy and tasty. I will go back again. Maybe I would just ask for hashbrowns to be lightly crisp and not over done and my eggs to be fluffy. I truly hope this place makes it. It has a great following and a great addition to Mukwonago. Wow! This place definitely got a face lift since it was briefly an Italian restaurant. Looks great! Food was very good. Service was ok (not great), but the place was super busy on a Thursday at 1130am. Had an omelette and an egg scramble with fruit and pancakes. You pay $1 extra for fruit and it was nothing notable. Overall, prices are fair. They make their own hot sauce which we both thought was great! Wouldn't go out of my way, but this is a close-by option for me to visit again. read more

Wow! Finally a breakfast place that has delicious coffee and home-cooked meals! I usually don't get coffee when I eat out because I'm very particular but this knocked it out of the park and I had almost 3 cups! It is so smooth and robust and not watery like other places. The portions were quite substantial. Really cute and clean interior. Overall, pretty fast and friendly service. Everything was good quality. Seemed like fresh ingredients. The beignets were what we started with and that was the best bite for our entire meal. They were perfectly puffed up beignets that went through a second fry after being cubed up. The blackberry marscapone saice was quite tasty and they were also served with nutella and a second dipping sauce option but you already know what that is. The bloody was tangy, almost zingy but I made mine spicy and in true midwest fashion, it wasn't actually that spicy. It was , however, quite tasty and served with a slice of bacon, and a small cheese, snack stick, olive, and pickle skewer. The salmon lox benedict was perfectly cooked and the poached egg could not be more expertly done. It exuded a perfectly runny yolk when pierced with no runny white. The hollandaise sauce was well executed with no complaints there. The avocado was fresh and not brown. Very good and everyone in our party enjoyed their food as well. Great spot for brunch and we will be back next time we are visiting our Grandma Shack! My only complaint was that the server had us wanting water a few times so we could have been checked on just a few more times during our meal. Additionally, , she didn't bring ketchup when she brought my dish with hashbrowns despite it being the very last plate delivered so her other hand was free. I had to ask for it. She also just gave me my $20 bill back when I handed her cash for the bill. Most people would understand that when I give you an extra $20 beyond the price of the bill and you ask if I need change and I answer in the affirmative that you should break the $20. Maybe she expected that high of a tip? I am not sure, but a few what I consider common sense things were not done properly. All this being said, she was nice when she did interact with us and got the ketchup and other requests without hesitation so it is not quite enough to knock it down to 4 stars for me. It's very cute inside. My husband and I both ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. I liked it but my husband who's had his fair share of buffalo chicken wraps said it was ok. It was definitely lacking on the buffalo sauce. The Bloody Mary wasn't my favorite. It had a very acidic flavor. I'd like to try their breakfast, I've heard from others it's very good. My MIL ordered the chorizo omelet and she enjoyed it. With all that being said, this is still a solid option in the area, and we will be back to try more. I arrived at 11:00 and found a parking spot in front of the restaurant and there's plenty of parking which is easy to access even for people with mobility difficulties. I was immediately greeted and seated in a nice warm sunny booth. Knowing what I was going to eat, I ordered as soon as the waitress brought me a glass of water. The restaurant is clean, spacious and has a friendly atmosphere but sometimes it's just a little bit noisy. I love, love, love it when my food arrives as ordered and really hot. The French fries were delivered crispy and HOT along side of the French Dip sandwich which was nice and HOT, oh yeah baby the food was fantastic. The au jus added more flavor and heat which was soooo yummy . In my opinion, the biggest question is, would you order it again? Yes, Yes, Yes I will order it again! Where to start about this amazing place?!! It was our first time eating there and it definitely won't be the last. The atmosphere is so welcoming and joyful, the place full of laughter and smiles, on guests and staff alike. There's something there for everyone, including gluten free options for those that need it. We had a hard time deciding what to order, because it all looked wonderful. I got the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger w/ fries and everything about it was delicious. Hamburger cooked perfectly, generous mushrooms and Swiss w/ just the right amount of truffle aioli and a very friendly amount of fries, also coked just right. My cousin got the Chicken Avocado Melt (that looked tasty) w/ a cup of their soup, that I believe was chicken dumpling, if I remember correctly. Kim also said her food was amazing. Our server, Whinonah, was so pleasant and nice. Attentive and made sure our experience there was nice. The place was hoping and never once did we feel rushed or insignificant. We were welcomed in w/ a pleasant greeting and smile plus attitudes and actions that we were meant to enjoy not only our meals but the company we were there with. It was such a great place, I look forward to going back anytime I'm visiting down there and introducing my family and friends to Morning Crumbs. Look at the picture I included with this review as the pancakes were every bit as delicious as it looks. Served with pistachios, strawberries, whip cream, nutella drizzle and an edible orchid...yes edible orchid, these are food offerings you find at some of the finer big city bistros only now this one found in "small town" Mukwonago at very reasonable prices. I am in heaven. My husband chose the Wisconsin hash scramble pictured. One of the best scramblers that he has ever ordered and he has ordered a lot. Large portions of potatoes, corned beef, onions, green peppers with eggs on top and a side choice of breads, in this case, a home made biscuit. EXCELLENT!! My advice, go!. The remodel and reinvention of this location probably has made this breakfast/lunch location a lasting go to place in Mukwonago. Try the mimosa flight, but don't skip the beignets! Light, fluffy and warm. The crispy Spicy Chicken Fried Chicken, on a biscuit covered in sausage gravy all topped with two eggs was fantastic. Moist, tender and a nice spice to it. A pretty healthy portion. Cars have been filling the parking lot since it's opened and continues a month later. Don't be cowed by the number of cars, plenty of room inside. The honeymoon might be over. We have been there quite a few times since they opened and we feel that they may be losing sight of what they wanted to be when they opened. My wife ordered the Reuben sandwich with a salad. The salad had huge pieces of the hard part of the lettuce in the bottom of the bowl. Stuff that shouldn't have been in there. She couldn't eat that and wound up leaving half the salad untouched. The sandwich, while good had an uneven amount of corned beef. It was like the sandwich was just thrown together without care. She had to rearrange the corned beef to make a whole sandwich. I ordered and asked for my hash browns crispy. What I was served was anything but. They were mushy and not crispy at all. The service here is great, really attentive but the quality of the food is not what it was. I hope they can return to what they were when they opened.
