Stopped into Dady-Ohs midweek as I was in Downtown Waukesha. This restaurant is a Waukesha gem and I wish it was busier! Great coffee and while the menu wasn't the most eclectic, the food they serve is delicious and well prepared. Friendly service made the experience well worth a return visit! read more

The group was split on this place. The folks who ordered burgers really liked it. The rest of us were meh about our orders. The staff were friendly and quick to take orders and get water filled. They seem to care about the community and had a good number of customers so maybe it was just a fluke. The pancakes were pretty sad considering the price. I heard the bloody marys were good and spicy. The roast beef sandwich was really fatty and had an off taste to it. It seemed they just warmed things up in a microwave maybe. If I came back, I'd try an omelet or something else on the breakfast menu and maybe aim for breakfast time. read more

Love their breakfast menu! The servers are friendly and polite although waiting for the food after ordering can sometimes get long.

The staff are friendly. The food was ok. I was disappointed to see the MAGA hat and other political statements.

We've eaten here twice- delicious diner food, good prices, warm good service. A cozy escape in between tournament games.

First time here as my great niece is moving in the area. Very turn of the century setting complete with beautiful hard wood and tin ceiling. I really liked the music and quotes of positivity. Only concern was lack of mask wearing by staff, hoping all are fully vaccinated Food was hot, fresh and served quickly. My great niece had the veggie omelet and added bacon, along with hash browns and toast. I ask the waitress for her favorite dish and followed her recommendation of the Dady Oh's breakfast sandwich. I was savoring every bite and enjoyed the flavorful hash browns with sautéed onions. Coffee was hot and delicious. Only $20 and we will be back. A diamond find by accident that did not disappoint. tl;dr Quaint diner in the heart of Waukesha, with a super long counter. Open only for breakfast and lunch, except for the decent Friday night fish fry. This is a favorite for my family, as it's the perfect place for our toddler. This isn't the typical retro styled diner. Soaring tin ceilings, warm wall colors, dim lighting, and a lot of wood. It's always heartwarming walking in, looking down the long counter and seeing the American flags soaring above. I'm a fan of their tuna melt and patty melt, as the marble rye it is served on is homemade, thick cut, and tight yet tender crumb is delicious. The burger patty for the patty melt is fairly basic, but well seasoned. The tuna salad is a different blend of tuna and veggies that I really enjoy. Oh man, their thick cut onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. I'm pretty sure you're served an entire onion, and the thick, crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside breading holds on. My wife usually orders breakfast and pretty much she likes it all. It's not a crazy boutique brunch, but it's the basics cooked really well. The fresh fruit side is great. Honey dew, muskmelon, watermelon and pineapple, plus either strawberries or blackberries depending on the season. Service is typically pretty good, as their are some great waitresses there. But... there are two waitresses who are pretty forgetful, yet still kind and forgiving for their mistakes. For example, one time we had to ask three times for a Pepsi before it finally showed up. Not the end of the world, just not perfect. Dady Oh's doesn't pretend to be something it's not. Classic diner food in a warm and friendly environment, plus reasonably priced. read more

My breakfast quest landed me here. Parking was easy on the street. Daddy ohs is in down town Waukesha among shops and such. The front door opens into a cool hall way with nice wood floors that leads to other businesses. The inside was very charming with most light coming form table lamps. I think they were going for country charm or something but I really liked it. It was not your typical looking breakfast place and had color with personality that stands out. The lighting really set a nice mood for a casual morning breakfast. At 7am I took the booth in the front window. The table had a couple lamps for lighting and the usual condiments. The service was was good with the water and menu on the table right away. I ordered the two eggs with hash browns, sausage, side of ham and toast. For some reason a man in a white chefs outfit brings your food to the table. The eggs were sunny side up. The sausage patties were juicy and tasty. The has Browns were crispy and good. The let down was the fake ham but it was a big piece and still good. Thank you for the sour dough toast. Over all it was a great breakfast in a nice place at a decent price, under $10. I will post the pictures. Overall this was a cool place for breakfast and I can see why people were started filling up the place. This little diner has an unassuming charm to it. It seems like a true locals spot. They have your basic breakfast staples, eggs, hash browns and toast. Their sourdough had amazing flavor and their eggs perfectly cooked over easy with a runny yolk. The food came out quickly and the prices seemed reasonable. This in my eyes in the perfect Mon-Fri diner feel but if you are looking for a weekend brunch spot I would recommend Taylor's Peoples Park down the street if you want something a little more fancy. Located in old down town Waukesha, this place is great for breakfast! It's dimly lit, quiet with soft music playing with a full bar on a weekend morning. I believe they are only open for breakfast and lunch with the exception of Friday nights for fish fry, I will have to check it out! read more

I had the best hamburger I've had in a long time. The Dady-Oh burger includes lettuce, tomato and bacon! It was done as I requested, the bun tasted home made and the fruit served with it was fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor, checkout Dady-Oh's. Family owned and operated. Pros: Quiet, surprisingly good music in the background, friendly service. Cons: The food leaves a lot to be desired for the price. 3.5 stars would be more accurate. I come here with co-workers for group outings because they have a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, but I have never chosen to come here by myself. Daddy-Oh's has become one of my go-to breakfast spots in Waukesha. Always great service and fantastic food as well. Breakfast for me is almost always scrambled eggs, hash browns, whole wheat toast and bacon. Dady-Oh's never lets me down on the way the prepare it. The eggs are perfect. Not over cooked and dry, but not soupy either, the toast is never burnt, the bacon nice and crispy, and somehow the hash browns have the greatest flavor. I can't quite figure out what they do to them to get them perfect every single time. Prices are fair too. Right around $8 + tip for breakfast and a soda for me. Highly recommended! read more

Breakfast was OK. Wasn't bad, wasn't great either. I'm confident if you stayed home you could make everything yourself. My boyfriend said his corned beef tasted like it was out of the can (which he happens to like) but do with that what you will. The waitress was nice though and wasn't overbearing or inattentive. Quiet place, only a few groups there this cloudy Saturday morning. Can't say anything about their lunch food, hear their fish fry is good - worth a shot. Randomly came across this place. I had an hour to kill so I ordered some breakfast. I sat at the bar. We need more diners like this. Reminds me if when I would have breakfast with my dad growing up every monday morning before school. I got the protein plate with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage and a ham steak. It also came with toast but I passed on that. The food was good, the eggs were light and fluffy. The ambiance on this place is really nice. Its a cute little quaint restaurant. After seating ourselves, it too almost 10 minutes to get water and menus, and there were only three tables seated ahead of us. We saw people coming in after us and getting served before us. There appeared to be only one waitress. Waited 15 minutes to get a refill on coffee, which was good. 45 minutes later, our food finally arrived. The orange slice, coffee and rye toast were good. That's about it. My entire meal tasted burnt. The potato pancake special tasted like they were cooked and burnt in a dirty pan. The eggs tasted completely off. The bacon was burnt beyond recognition. The highlight was the music - classic rock. Avoid at ALL cost. I just wasted $11+ on a nasty meal I couldn't eat. read more

Food poisoning from hash browns cooked in rancid fish oil! Based on previous reviews, my wife and I decided to go to this small restaurant for breakfast. I ordered an omelet and hash browns. I took a couple bites of the hash browns and detected a strange whiff of ammonia. I presented a bite to my wife to smell; " do you smell ammonia?" She said "smells like bad fish." I decided to pass on the rest of the hash browns and focused on the omelet... ...big mistake. Twenty minutes after we left the diner, I was vomiting. It's now 2.5 hours later and I have these noxious burps that fill my nose with the smell of ammonia. I googled it; turns out when fish become severely decomposed they can emit a smell that is similar to ammonia. So my wife and I were both right! I called the restaurant to inform them of my food poisoning. The man who answered was rude and sarcastic. I explained the above. I then said "well??? Any thoughts???" He hung up the phone. Do not eat here. Clearly their cleaning standards have fallen to the point they are now a health hazard. More importantly, they don't care about your health! Shame on you, Daddy Ohs! read more

You might miss this place unless you were walking past it on the street. Despite being somewhat tucked away on Broadway St., this is a nice little diner. They have a bar, a few beers on tap, very friendly staff, and plenty of seating for couples or a few larger groups in the back. The food is pretty good - made "from scratch" and everything I've ordered tastes fresh. Breakfast menu has a selection of eggs, omelets, and pancakes. Their lunch menu has a variety of soups and sandwiches. It's cheap, but doesn't taste cheap. If you are looking for a non-busy weekend brunch spot, or a quick/affordable bite to eat for lunch, this is a great spot in downtown Waukesha. read more

Classic, simple, fresh, made - to -order excellent breakfast/brunch place. A home-town gem sitting in the middle the town. I opted for a veggie filled omelet with some cheese added and I ate every morsel. It also came with choice of potato and those were wonderful too. We did order a pancake on the side to try and it was not as memorable. I do believe the owner herself was our server that day and she was kind and helpful to the two curious travelers that found this place to eat at during our road rip. Went there for a fish fry 2 weeks ago. They open at 5pm. There were about 16 people waiting to get inside. I counted only 3 wait staff so it took about 15 minutes before a waitress came to our table. I ordered a combo plate of walleye, haddock, and shrimp, all fried. The walleye and haddock tasted very good, but the shrimp was tough to chew. Never had shrimp like that. I'm not sure if it was old or fried too much. The one slice of rye bread was served with butter hard as a rock. The creamy coleslaw was good. My wife had the haddock and she enjoyed it. I had a bottle of Miller High Life. It was flat. Hardly any foam when poured into a glass. Guess they don't sell much beer in this restaurant. read more
