Breakfast burrito is definitely a favorite of mine here.
Steve C.

Love this location! Been here several times now and it's always great. The staff is wonderful. All the servers are attentive and ensure the table is cared for. Breakfast usually requires a bit more attention as guests have coffee which requires cream, sugar etc. There is often a variety of condiments for toast, eggs etc. that one might prefer and again; it's always on the table or a server is around or asking. I've never been lacking in any condiments. The food is always on point and comes out quick. I can't say enough about this location.

The waitress Michelle was tops. She crafted the vanilla caramel latte for me. It was wonderful. The egg scrambles were good. The restaurant is more upscale and we were pleased with the prices.

Mystic French Toast with a side of bacon

I looked at the menu and thought it'd be good after seeing avocado toast and crepes on the menu. When I got there, I changed my mind and got their highlighted breakfast item, Mystic French Toast! It was so good! The waitress talked good about it, too. Her service was a little slow though.

Food and service are always great! One of the few places where the food is actually hot when it's served! Service is awesome!

The service was excellent and very attentive. Since it was our first time visiting, our server took the time to explain some of the most popular menu items as well as their personal favorites. Based on their recommendations, we ordered the seafood platter, which was just enough for two people to share. If you have a bigger appetite, though, you may still want to order an additional entrée alongside it. The only downside was a noticeable odor when walking inside the restaurant. It smelled like a mix of bleach water and stagnant or dirty water. It's something they should definitely address, but it wasn't enough to negatively impact our overall experience. We will absolutely be back and will probably choose the patio again if the weather cooperates.

I had to say excuse me twice to get in. There was probably two other patrons inside the restaurant and 4 at the out door bar top. The food was subpar. I ordered the king crab legs as it came on the menu with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Cost $110. The only thing that came out hot and seasoned was the broccolini. Both the potatoes and crab legs were cold and unseasoned. There was a side of butter sauce which was slightly warmer. I had a $10 Coalition Margarita it tasted more like a mocktail. I ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters. The first round came out over cooked. The second round was better but 2 were just shells with no oyster inside just baked on toppings. They were otherwise good. Cost $24 (happy hour). I did voice my concerns to both my server and management. The female manger came over and ask if I wanted the crabs & potatoes "reheated". I declined as I was short on time and a remake would be more appealing. She stated she would work something out for me. Shortly after, I requested the check. There was no adjustment & I was not offered a dessert, or anything for my next visitShe never came back over to me. I paid the check plus 20% cash. Total cost $190 (rounded up). I went to the restroom. The manager was at the hostess stand as I left. We made eye contact. She turned to avoid me. This was Thursday 6/4/2026 between 4:30-6 PM. Overall the experience was not as advertised on social media. Again it was subpar. Maybe the second time would've been better, but I guess I'll never know. I do not recommend.

Ok let me first say that I haven't dined here yet!!…read more I was looking at hosting a bridal shower in the area, where I'm out of town so dont have a way to come visit/scope out the place. Shannon was so accomodating, he sent me photos of the place where the shower would be, and answered a ton of questions for me. The level of service from him was impeccable, especially when I was pretty clear from the beginning that I was looking at quite a few different places. We ultimately chose somewhere else due to budget and we wanted a more "light and airy" vibe. I just wanted to drop a line here and say that this spot is really perfect for a smaller shower and for a pretty competitive price!

The burrata appetizer was so small, we thought someone had already eaten it! The burrata was no bigger than my thumb! Two of us had the duck confit entree. Again, the portion of the protein was embarrassing small! I don't mind paying $50 for an entree, but I expect to be full or close to full after eating it. That is NOT the case with any of the six entrees our group had. There are too many great restaurants in the Alpharetta/Roswell area now to "settle" for mediocre, which is what we experienced. Truly disappointing.

Front of house staff are attentive and pleasant. Waitstaff delivering food from the kitchen are rightly proud of their plating - everything looked delicious! I was in the mood for Barbecue and so got a half rank of baby back ribs, paired with ironing and mac & cheese. I will hear qualify myself as a macaroni and cheese aficionado. This mac & cheese was not the best, but that is only because the world's best macaroni and cheese is only to be found at Dave Poe's Barbecue in Marietta Georgia. This m&c was good, though. The ribs were tender and juicy, and fell off the bone. The real star of this trio was the onion rings! Perfectly crispy, perfectly breaded, savory onion slices! Absolutely delectable. If you were up north of Alpharetta just off Highway nine, give Milton Tavern a try!

I'd come in for a drink after earlier day shifts, and grab a small bite on occasion. Back then, it wasn't ever busy but it has taken a positive turn for its reputation in the Avalon area. My husband and I ate here recently for brunch, I had no idea what to expect as I'd never had brunch here before. Sat immediately, and served promptly by the nice gentleman. We got to chatting and found he had just started, working mostly just for the holidays. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and they were incredible--even without the sausage! Not a big pork eater, here. The flavors were authentic Cajun, and do recommend it if you're ever here for Brunch. My other half ordered the breakfast burger--warning this thing is HUGE but according to him an incredible foodie adventure to conquer. Atmosphere is a bit dark and drab, but not a deterrence from coming back to try again. One last note to wrap it up, service needs to be sure to recognize Happy Holidays versus immediately resorting to Merry Christmas--very adamant from our server when I said Happy Holidays upon leaving. It's just a courtesy to those like myself who do not celebrate the mainstream holiday. So folks, if you're shopping at Avalon and want to get out of the cluster of the mall, drive across the main road and find plenty of parking to try out Firebirds!

It was disheartening that the cooks could not seem to figure out how to time the ribeyes so no one had to pack up their meals to go home to continue to cook them. We had the range from bloody rare that should have been medium to the pink "well done". The ladies didn't make a fuss. They all just asked for theirs to go and we just enjoyed the outing. Interestingly enough, our waitress ignored our empty glasses and I had to ask a manager to bring my next drink from the bar as waitress never came back or brought it. 2 other managers came to "see how things were" as a task crossed off a list. We mentioned to one the steak issues and he asked "so what should I do? Go fire the chef?" And he laughed. But it was not funny and it was not a joke. It was his way of dismissing us and our concerns. He dismissed our experiences while refusing to acknowledge their failures. The dismal service and lack of service recovery was intentional and deliberate. It was disrespectful and off putting. The message sent and lack of corrective action was not subtle. My "ribeye" was the only meat that was cooked as ordered. However, I've never seen a ribeye that looked like this. When a colleague called to tell them about the poor experience, the manager said his conscience bothered him that night. (He knew what he was doing) He said when he asked the waitress did we have e a nice meal, she said she didn't think so. We left her a nice tip...because we are nice people. However I was disappointed and embarrassed my colleagues had to suffer the poor treatment and missed the opportunity for the Cajun Ribeye to be done right. $700 later.....I recommend you go anywhere else.

The food was mostly great -- the French onion soup was flavorful, and the calamari had a good spicy kick. The mac and cheese was so good with that crispy breading on top. The steak and asparagus were cooked well, and the sweet potato fries were tasty, though a little too sweet -- they really don't need extra sugar. The mashed potatoes had good flavor but could've been a bit creamier. The martinis were good. The water had a strange taste, the Sprite tasted more like 7UP, and the glassware was a bit sticky, which was noticeable. Overall, good food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. If this is all you will enjoy here - this is a 5-star establishment. Location in Avalon is another strong point of this establishment. Super convenient, although small. Food - is just not good. If you are drunk - then it is all right, otherwise it just doesn't cut it. I had hot dog - and I must say $1.50 Costco hot dog is way better. Wings - below average. Chicken tenders - the same. Fries are probably the best thing here. Service - just terrible. Outside of bartenders who are pretty happy and funny, the rest of service is hit or miss. First time I visited was awful. Second time around I had to walk up to server to place an order and ended up getting wrong beer multiple times on refills (how is getting the same refill a problem?). So 3-stars for this review is me being generous on account of great beer. I will however never order food here again.
