So disappointing. I've heard so many great things about Morra Mia, but unfortunately the service did not match the hype. We waited about 30 minutes without being greeted, offered water, or even acknowledged by a server. I was visiting from out of town with my artist while on tour, so it was especially disappointing to have this kind of experience. We even tried to get the attention of nearby staff, but no one acknowledged us or let us know if someone would be with us shortly. Came here on a road trip through El paso and had to stop for Mexican food and this did not disappoint. Food came out minutes after ordering. Birria was delicious and their el pastor tacos tasted amazing too. Their Mint lemonade cocktail was good however only tasted like mint with tequila. I was referred to this restaurant by a local that I met at Rosa's Cantina. I had no idea what to expect, but the atmosphere here exceeded by expectation. Great bar area, but I don't see a bad seat in the house. I started at the bar and Raul was very courteous and on top of his game. I started with the chips and Tri salsa... The green sauce is outstanding but they have a salsa that has Worcestershire sauce and it was uniquely good!! I had the pork pozole with red sauce for main dish and it did not disappoint. We visited Morra MiA and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the enmoladas, which were excellent it really tasted like they make the salsa in house. My family had the birria and some enchiladas, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The flavors were rich, fresh, and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Our waitress seemed annoyed from the start and told us that no food modifications were allowed, which was disappointing. Once our food arrived, she never checked on our table again not even once. I actually had to get up to refill my own drink at the bar, and we had to flag down other servers just to get water. Overall, the food is fantastic, but the management really needs to work on training their staff. It's a shame that such great cooking is overshadowed by poor service. read more

There was a good sized crowd when we arrived, but the hostess was able to seat us right away. Water was brought to the table and drink orders were taken. My husband said the house margarita was really good and he's picky about his margaritas! We started with the Green Chile Queso and it was delicious! It also has some guacamole in it and it was a nice texture. The chips were good as well. We heard the molé was good, so I had to have some. I ordered the Enchiladas Molé Poblano and it was so good. It was chocolatey at first and finished with a little spice. Delicious! The service was good, but could be a little better. The space is eclectic and fun and slightly upscale all at once. This is a new location of an already established restaurant. The menu is very different, very trendy. It claims to have influences from deeper in Mexico rather than border food. I would say the best part of the experience is the decor and the ambience that the restaurant/bar portray. In this experience, we were pretty much ignored when we came in. And sent back to the front to be escorted to our seat. And then they made us wait while they had personal conversations rather than attending to us . There was a lot of staff and workers milling around and not many patrons were at the restaurant when we showed up. But yet everyone was too busy to take care of us. Once we finally decided on some appetizers. We got our drinks and they were very good. We had an appetizer plate that had three things on them, but nothing like I had ever had before. The food was interesting and it was good, but the items that were on our appetizer plate were very greasy. We also had some Queso Fundido that was good. Food is really good I got the enchiladas verdes, I sat at the bar, the bartender was attentive and made me the best cubano drink. Hostess was really polite, I tried to put my bike inside the establishment, but the manager was really rude about it, she just said no bikes allowed inside and left. I wish I could enjoy my meal without having to keep looking outside to check if my bike is stolen. She needs to learn more about customer service, it was an easy fix. read more

1. Had the tortilla soup with chicken and it was phenomenal! Absolutely loved the crunch, flavors, and appreciated that it was loaded to the rim. Very filling considering it was a cup. 2. Michaladas are top tier. La chorreada was really delicious with mango sweetness and spiciness of the tamaringo sauce. Yum! 3. Service was terrible. The servers were in a corner cage-like room on the phones, chatting, and I could see our waitress having a great time! They all had drinks, and were laughing and joking around. It was packed in the room with waiters. Ive never seen anything like that. Meanwhile we're waiting & waiting to order a dessert & coffee. Finally she came so we asked for our pan dulce, coffee, and the bill because who knows when we would have her attention again. I dont know if she couldn't hear us with the music but she brought us our bill and we had to order again our coffee and dessert. She seemed annoyed, but maybe she did feel bad because she comped us the coffee. I would have preferred better service than a free coffee but i appreciate the effort in trying to make things right. This is the second location of "Morra Mia" in El Paso, and I'm happy because it is my favorite restaurant, and now it is closer to home. The drinks, food, and customer service are superb. The parking lot is tight and small, so FYI, be careful. I visited on a Friday evening, and it was not as busy, but I'm sure it was because the restaurant had recently opened. Eventually, more people were willing to find out and will be very busy. The pozole serving is vast and delicious, and the quesabirria is terrific. Not sure what the low reviews are about with this spot because not only did they provide the fix I needed for delicious mole, but the vibe/aesthetic of the inside is ! Now, I will say that I had to wait a little longer than usual for my food to come out because another server took my mole, but the cook came out from the back and made sure everything was nice and even brought out more mole for me. Our meal was a birria combo plate not bad & while I'm fully aware this isn't a fat free plate. The excessive amount of oil on the bottom of the food was entirely too much. At the end of our meal I asked to purchase some queso dip to go. I was given this paper container in a cup carrier! I was expecting perhaps 8 oz to go dip. That I would gladly pay for, not expecting a freebie but come on $ 5 for this? I just spent 25$ on a breakfast, getting the least expensive egg dish item on the menu and coffee. This is outrageous. It was huevos divorciados at $14 and coffee at $4 plus tax and tip. The food was good but not special and it lacked several items usually served with breakfast in El Paso, it did not include a breakfast potato/hashbrown, also no salsa and no chips. Just the eggs and my coffee. also the green and red chile were not chile. but a tomatillo sauce pickled and a tomato sauce. It seems to be a place for those who dont care about what they spend for food or a rich ladies business or meeting place in the morning. I don't recommend this if you are concerned your paying a fair price for your food. There are plenty of breakfast places with equal food at a fair price (and tostadas/salsa and potatoes.) The MOST should spend in EP for a breakfast is abou$14 total. read more
