    Took our Jeep Liberty in to resolve a continued issue with our heater. Another auto repair company…read morehad replaced the thermostat and radiator, but the issue wasn't resolved. Ron's found that the coolant was low, dirty & watered down. They did a coolant exchange, but the problem persisted. They had to completely remove all coolant and ran a cleaner through the system. Then they put in new coolant. This told us that the new radiator (from the previous shop) had been filled with old original coolant plus water!!! I highly recommend this shop.

Regarding security measures, we make every reasonable effort to ensure all doors and compartments on every vehicle left outside are locked at night. Keys are locked inside, and the alarm is set. We're installing an exterior camera system, but it won't deter crime or identify anyone. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in now. I understand your frustration, and feeling of violation. I'm sorry, but what happens when we are not here is out of our control. This is the same as if the vehicle were parked in a Walmart parking lot and items were stolen, parked on the street at home, or if a meteorite hit it at night. Comprehensive vehicle insurance covers that. If it were damaged while we were operating the vehicle, that is a different story. Our insurance covers that. Unfortunately, his response was more disappointing than reassuring. While he acknowledged that our calls should have been returned, most of his response focused on why Ron's Auto & RV is not responsible for property stolen from customer vehicles left on their lot. Our RV was broken into while in their possession, and items including camping equipment and our registration decal were stolen. Comparing an RV left at a repair facility for weeks to a vehicle parked at Walmart misses the point entirely. Customers leave their vehicles with a repair shop expecting a reasonable level of security and accountability. What concerns me most is not the theft itself, but the apparent lack of concern afterward. The focus seemed to be on avoiding liability rather than addressing why a long-time customer's property was stolen while on their property. The mechanics may do good work, but based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value security, communication, and accountability.

    We brought our RV in for service last year. They stole our water pump. The pump had been working…read moreperfectly fine but they told us it was failing and that they replaced the water pump for "free". They didn't put it on the invoice and told us not to mention it. Since then the new water pump doesn't hold pressure and fails constantly. But since there is no record of them switching out the water pump we can't do anything about it. Super shady thieves!

    I tried this RV center service department for the first time, in January of this year. I needed…read morerepairs on my 5th-wheel trailer. The awning had been bent in a wind storm, the rooftop A/C units weren't working, my electric heat on my water heater wasn't working and I needed a pre-season check up on my trailer before camping. I came in also because of a 10% discount coupon on parts and labor. I forgot to drop off the coupon when I delivered the trailer. When I realized this I called the service department and was told it was OK to bring it in when I picked up the trailer. McCord ordered parts for my awning, determined my A-C units were fine and I just needed new thermostats. They replaced the electric switch on my water heater, and made other minor repairs. I am very pleased with the repairs. HOWEVER, I forgot to bring my coupon out of my truck and present it when I picked up the trailer and paid the full amount for the repairs. ONLY right afterwards as driving home with the trailer, did I remember again that I didn't present the coupon. I rushed back and spoke to the service department representative. He tried, but said I was too late and couldn't get the discount because it wasn't presented before charging the final invoice. SUCH FRUSTRATION and LOSS OF SAVINGS because I didn't get the coupon to them in time. That's the only sour thing about my experience. I figure I lost over $200.00 because of that. UPDATE!! McCord's Service Department just called and they just figured out how to rectify my problem and refund the coupon value back to me. Big Kudos to McCord's Service Department for sticking with it and coming to a very happy resolution for me.
