Which is something I never do, I'm from Philadelphia and nobody knows how to make a cheesesteak outside of that area; and also the roll is also an important part of a good cheesesteak. I'm not even sure what I was given. First of all the amount of meat that was on the 2 cheesesteaks combined is less than is on a half of a cheesesteak any other place. It was quite frankly insulting to take our money and serve us that less than quality food. To me, it's the perfect buffalo slice. I'm not a fan of buffalo slices that have huge pieces of chicken, are overly spicy, or have a drizzle of ranch/blue cheese (I know some of you will fight me on that one). This slice has just the right kick hot sauce, no drizzle, AND THE GAME CHANGER: it's shredded/chopped up chicken! Omg, why don't more pizzerias do this?? This is my favorite pizza in Morristown. They don't skimp on the cheese like so. Any places do nowadays. The sauce is ample. I personally like a bit more flavor in my pizza sauce so I add garlic powder to it and that wakes it up a bit. The crust is done perfectly and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. They have excellent toppings. They have real pepperoni they use on their pizza and it is delicious! Unpleasantly surprised. The meatball and plain are decent...which is why I ordered from them last night. But I will never be going back due to 2 other pies I ordered last night. They advertised "chopped garlic" as a topping option on their online ordering form, so I added it. It arrived with JARRED MINCED GARLIC smeared on top. It's also noteworthy that we got a "White Pie with Spinach" which literally appears to me to be frozen chopped spinach that they threw into a blender with ricotta cheese, smeared onto the dough as an under layer? and topped with mozzarella. It looked gross and tasted like creamed spinach combined with a frozen white pizza from the store. Still laughing about the fact that they called me after I placed my ordered, which had requested an addition of basil, because he needed to tell me they "Don't have basil" (in general). BEST PIZZA IN MORRISTOWN. I have been coming to this pizzeria since I was in high school & it's one of the few places in town that's consistently excellent. I'm there like 3 or 4 times a week. The owners are very friendly & so nice. They aren't as stuck up as all the other restaurants & businesses moving into town They have a large Flat screen, I've watched The Dark Knight, Avatar, Bruce Almighty, and Inception while eating a slice. Besides their personal pan pizza which is totally worth the wait. I love their marinara sauce I get extra on the side for my pepperoni stromboli & I also dig how they serve beef pepperoni I think it tastes better then the other stuff & the redesign of the interior looks amazing. Pretty standard pizza. Good amount of cheese, crust is crispy enough (although could be more) and is actually better when re-heated the next day in a toaster oven. Not my first choice of pizza in the area but a good second (after Lovey's) considering they're open later and actually answer their phones at 20 minutes to close (unlike Pomodoro). Wish they had online ordering since the old Italian guy taking my order couldn't hear me/underhand me. Maybe they need to get new phones or someone for whom English is a first language considering he just got frustrated at me, hung up too early, and made someone else call me back. Have tried all the pizza places in Morristown and Morris Pizza is tops. I go to a pizza place for pizza. They have a good selection of toppings. We usually request the pie thin crust and they make it that way and the bottom is crisp, a reasonable amount of sauce and good quality and amount of cheese. I usually call in an order and they are honest with timing and the pie is always ready when I get there when they say. If you haven't tried them give it a try. read more

Then you have an incompetent person answering the phone and taking the order....I'm patient and willing to work through it...I specifically ask (during covid) for a door drop off of food...tip nicely. The doorbell rings and I'm forced to answer which I asked not to...then half my order is missing...then he returns and rings doorbell 2 more times for me to go out and talk to him. Wtf!!! Ordered a pie for delivery from Morris Pizzeria the other day. Kind of unbelievable how we've never had a pizza from here before. I feel like we've tried a hundred other places in town (fiancée actually says the number is closer to 14), and none of them are super solid. For the most part, the pizza elsewhere is just ok. Morris Pizza's pizza, however, is well above the rest. Before we get into the food though, I have to explain the 4 stars (as opposed to 5). When I called, the guy who picked up was short with me and a little rude. He seemed put out by having to take the order. When I asked for a bacon and onion pie, he informed me that they didn't have bacon. I found that odd and disappointing. Both these reasons detract the fifth star. Without a Plan B, I asked for the quintessential Go-To: a large pepperoni pizza. He said it would be delivered in 45 minutes. Most places claim half an hour and then are late. I was actually relieved to hear someone say anything BUT "half an hour." I felt like the 45 minute claim was more dependable than the norm. And it was! Exactly 45 minutes after I hung up the phone, the doorbell rang. Zing zang zoom. The pepperoni pizza was piping hot right out of the box. It was super cheesy and had bountiful amounts of spicy, crisp, and large pepperoni. This was easily the best pepperoni pizza we've had in 14 different restaurants in the area. It's a shame it took us this long to find the winner, but this is it! We're only gonna be here another couple months but if (when) we decide to get another classic cheese pie with regular toppings, it will be from Morris Pizzeria. Hopefully next time the person answering the phone will be a little friendlier. read more

I was accosted by the owner's son to do an updated review. My rating hasn't changed. It's still a 3star and I'm being very generous, I will not be bullied into "giving" a higher score, a basic pizza, gets you a basic score. I gave a great review my first time here, a 4 star, then quality just kept on slipping down. The other reviewers see the same issue there is NO Consistency, only now everytime i've gone, it's been consistently basic, and disappointing. Why is it disappointing? again I'm an old cat, i've had Pizza Slices in NY when they .25c a slice, heck my first pizza slice my older sister bought one for me to eat at a dime a slice, do you know how outraged the whole neighborhood was when slices went to $1!!!, yes that's how old i am and how much I love pizza.
