They say they're open at 11 I walked in at 11:10 and was told I'd have to wait 20 minutes to get two slices of pizza because there wasn't any ready. They just opened up first of all if you're in the business to serve the public and you advertise that you're open at 11 o'clock everyone and everything should be ready to serve the public. You don't turn people away from the door and tell them to come back in 20 minutes because you're not ready at 11 o'clock if that's the case then change your hours. I grew up in Randolph and really appreciate the pizza at Pizza Palace. Went there last night and it was as good as always. However, one thing that bugged me just a little was that they automatically added a10% tip for a takeout order. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks. read more

Yelp should delete reviews from over 10 years ago. This pizza place has been a stable family business for the 28 years I have lived here and that should tell people something. The pizza is very good. You may encounter a wait time if you order Friday or Saturday night but it's worth the wait. read more

Pizza Palace reminds me of one of those old fashioned pizza places where there's not a lot of frills, but the pizza is excellent. At lunchtime, you can see that a lot of the locals stop in here for a slice or a sandwich. It has that nice vibe that makes you feel comfortable. I went for a slice of buffalo chicken with a can of root beer. Price was right on and the pizza was great! Plenty of parking and seats. The guys behind the counter were very friendly. Fantastic Pizza..plus great eggplant parmigiana sub...extensive take out menu on line. Thin crust pizza, perfectly made...we pick up..never get delivery. All the types of pizza you would ever desire plus toppings. Third generation owners...a Randolph tradition. I went with my young children in the 1980's - 2000. Now we order for their kids ! The boys over at Pizza Palace just get it. The sauce has just the right balance to make all their pies truly stand out. As a Morristown resident right up Sussex Avenue from this establishment, I've been a regular customer for nearly 20 years now. They're pies taste just as consistently good as they did in 2005. Unfortunately we were very unhappy with the food that we had ordered for delivery. The pizza was gross. Had a strong taste of parm. It was thin crust and didn't seem fresh. The chicken parm sub was tasteless. My husband tried to fix it to taste better so that my son would eat it. No luck. We typically like the food, and I feel bad for writing this review, but when you spend $50 on an order and most of it is inedible, it's upsetting. I grew up going to this place while at Randolph High in the 90's and went to school with Vito. I left the area for college in the late 90's and have lived in Maryland since. This is still the greatest Italian food I've ever had, there's nothing like it's simplistic yet perfect sauce, taste, dough texture of the pizza. There is a nostalgic flavor of growing up with this food that I cannot find anywhere outside of New Jersey, it just doesn't exist. Stopped at this place on a main road and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was average but came as ordered. One of my biggest pet peeves is being overcharged and I was charged $3 more than the price on the menu. read more

Watched my friend down a whole pie at 15 years old in about 5 minutes, after we biked there. Still wasn't enthralled by (any) pizza but I always thought they had the best I had ever had at that age (1980). Miss them more than I can say. I wish I lived closer or they decide to ship :( read more

Always great pizza. Sometimes they have no delivery available (very understandable as it was only during this pandemic), and we had to order from another local pizza place. I have been here a few times I only had pizza and the chicken stromboli. No complaints regarding either. This is what you would expect of any pizzeria. It is not fancy inside and quite honestly the tables could probably be update. Hey, the tables don't affect the quality or taste of the food. This pizza place was my staple growing up and therefore, every pizza slice I've had gets compared to this pizza. I think because their base is done perfectly and consistently - the right amount of garlic, sauce, & cheese - it translates well with toppings and it's not over the top greasy. Meatball and sausage is done very well here as is the margherita pizza (and any white pizza here for that matter). The buffalo chicken pizza is very good as well. I absolutely love pizza palace, we stop in everytime we visit my in laws in Randolph. I can always count on them to have the best variety of slices on the spot. I loveeee their margarita, meatballs, and white slices, he always goes for their ziti and pepperoni. The crust has the perfect crunch and it's overall just delightfully delicious . Being new to the place the flow was confusing as the place was full of people waiting for takeout. Ordered pizza for takeout as a quick lunch when we were moving. Unfortunately the pizza itself was not very good - neither I nor my family enjoyed the margarita pie. However the order was ready on time, and the staff was very friendly and provided us with extra cups, plates, and napkins as we didn't have anything stocked in the new house yet. A staple in Randolph!! Consistently delicious. Last week I called in a panic- 25-30 people coming over and I'd done nothing about food... I called Pizza Palace. No problem. My needs were quickly assessed- delivery set for the NEXT day... yes- I procrastinate. Right on time the next day- brought into the house HOT set in trays and off we were!! I can't believe I just paid $53 for this garbage. The only fresh pizza I got was the one that had veggies. The other two looked and tasted like day old stale Pizza. The "Margherita" pizza was stale cheese, sauce and garlic. I asked if they at least some fresh basil....now it's summer so that should be expected but all they had was frozen. If can't keep basil for a pizza don't have the pizza on the menu. The staff was rude and I will never go here again. I would like a refund. I have been to many different pizza places in my life and this one is my favorite. The food is fantastic I love the thin crust and the pizza is never undercooked or burned. I love the chicken roll and I highly recommend it. So food is great to take out but do not plan on eating in because the place is small, dirty, and outdated and the scenery is just not that good. read more
