My husband and I went to this restaurant while passing through Morristown. It was very nice. The restaurant is behind the gourmet pizza counter and had a very nice atmosphere. Typical pizzeria in the front, speakeasy vibes in the back. I was pretty surprised when I walked in for my reservation and entered behind a curtain to a trendy restaurant. While I liked the lounge vibe, the only downside for me was that I booked this place as a family dinner. If youre coming with friends or on a date this is great spot. If you're bringing family then the low lighting and loud music might not be ideal. In terms of food, I was really satisfied with everything I ordered, but I especially enjoyed the penne vodka and the eggplant parm. The vodka sauce was creamy without being overtly heavy making it easy to eat without getting bored of the flavor. The eggplant parm was also crispy but well layered with cheese and sauce that made each bite tasty. We also ordered chicken parm which was much larger than expected and chicken masala that was also seasoned well. For apps we did a house salad which felt fresh and ended with the chocolate layer cake for dessert. The cake was rich and indulgent with multiple layers ensuring each bite was layered with flavor. Our server was also very friendly and came by enough that we didn't have to flag him down but also had privacy to enjoy our meal as a family. I will definitely be coming back here with friends or as a date night. While I enjoyed the food, as a family meal I'd probably stick to takeout from here instead. read more

I'll start my review by saying that I really like Enzo's. But the last two times we were there before going to MAYO for a show. Food was great the first time, but the server disappeared and we waited 30 minutes for the check. Last Saturday we went for a birthday dinner two hours before the show. The server was pleasant, if a bit hard to hear over the noise. Our appetizers arrived quickly. The server didn't come back once to check on us. After an hour waiting for entrees I got up to see the host. Only then three of four dinners came out. The food was room temperature, so they must have been sitting. The fourth dinner didn't arrive until I went to the host again. The server arrived with all apologies. We had to eat so quickly I really can't say how the food tasted. Instead of having a nice birthday dinner, enjoy coffee and dessert and have a leisurely walk to MAYO, we bolted out of Enzo's and got to our seats just in time for the show. Other restaurants in the area usually ask if we have show tickets as soon as we sit down. Enzo's should consider this. read more

Really glad I found this place! The vibe is super nice, although just a tad too loud. The service was very good and the food was fantastic in my opinion! Would def return. Two things I'd highlight: 1) the menu online isn't the same was in the restaurant; it's the takeout menu. So I believe pizza and sandwiches weren't available in the resto 2) The charge a credit card processing fee, which is not previously disclosed before ordering, which may or may not be legal given state law requires a) the fee disclosed before incurring any charges, and b) the fee cannot exceed the fee paid to the processor. the manager was super nice about it when I told him and said they would address it upon redoing their menus (but did not offer to refund the charge on the spot). We ordered take out and I don't like the fact you can't order over the phone to see possible modifications of your meal. I believe the app does add a surcharge to the order. Another negative with new technology. Good news for Enzo...the place has outgrown its back parking lot. There aren't many other legal options other than street parking. This was my second time eating here. I'll start with the positives. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The interior is a real vibe and it's nicely decorated. It's BYOB and affordable. Can't believe it took me this long to try Enzo! Don't be fooled by the pizzeria counter / seating in the front. Head through the curtain and you'll see that this is one of the swankiest dining spaces in Mo'Town. Dimly lit, gorgeous greenery and perfect for a date night. Only problem was I took my kids (expecting a much more casual ambiance) - next time I won't do that, ha. Food was top notch, as was service. Complimentary bread was soft, buttery and garlicky. Plain pizza for my kids hit the spot - I loved the chewy and salty crust and you can tell this is made very fresh. They devoured it. Cesar salad was fresh and plentiful, chicken milanese came with a huge and perfectly pounded piece of chicken and the jumbo blackened shrimp with pasta in vodka sauce was chefs kiss. Everything is amaze, but the only drawback is that prices are wildly steep. Entrees at places like this already feel high priced in the mid 30's, and you can literally add 10 to that. First time getting take-away GF pepperoni pizza from here. Customer service left a little bit to be desired from what I'm told since someone else ordered it and brought it home but we both could only eat about half the pizza since it is a very thick and crunchy version of GF. I had high expectations, even for the pizza, because of how jazzed up the inside was. This didn't look like your average NJ pizzeria, it looked very upscale. We ordered a pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and pepper slice as well as a BBQ chicken slice. I had high expectations but the pizza really was just okay. The meat and veggie slice was average while the BBQ chicken slice was below average. The crust wasn't really that crisp and the BBQ pizza was not that flavorful. I could've gotten the same quality pizza for a lower price at a local joint in my town. With so many amazing pizza options in NJ, I was hoping for something a little more special. The service was fine, but it was just a little awkward walking in to grab a slice and having someone ask you if you wanted to be seated in the back. Found this pizzeria when we were looking for a late lunch spot in the Morristown area . Was empty when we walked in . They had pre baked pies on display that they would heat and serve . We ogled at all the pizzas and asked for their popular pies . The square Grandma pie , Buffalo chicken were highly recommended and we picked the ricotta white pie as a third choice . All 3 were delicious in the same order as I listed them above . The Grandma pie was delightfully good. It offered the bite needed in a pizza with the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce. Buffalo chicken offered the tang and punch of the buffalo sauce as expected combined with the goodness of the pizza crust . Ricotta pie was white & plain true to its name . First time at Enzo's in Morristown and we really loved it! When we got into the dining room the atmosphere was really warm and cozy. The staff was super friendly and inviting as well. The first thing we tried was the complimentary bread rolls and they were amazing, super soft, warm and fluffy. The Balsamic Calamari also didn't disappoint it was super tender with a nice sweet coating of balsamic. The entrees were all good and we tried the Chicken Milanese, chicken rossini, and penne vodka with chicken cutlet on top. Would get any of them again they were awesome. The only complaint I will say is it's pretty absurd to be charging $7 for some added asparagus to a pasta that is already $30. A full bunch of asparagus from a local market doesn't even cost $7 and I can guarantee I did not have a full bunch of asparagus on my plate. When sat down for a meal the service was awful there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant and our server Alejandro was incompetent and was sprinting all around the restaurant when it wasn't even busy. Considering my whole party has spent time working in food service it was concerning how bad the level of service was for a completely quiet restaurant. Terribly slow service for stale bland food. Placed an order for an eggplant sub and a salad at 5:38pm. Site said it would be ready by 7:15pm. Didn't get my order until 8:02pm. The sandwich bread was very stale, felt like I was eating leftover bread from the day before. Sandwich was dry, desperately needed more sauce. Salad was just 4 ingredients, nothing that warrants 2 hours and 24 minutes to prepare. The restaurant is sneakily hidden behind a black curtain that creates a distinct restaurant from the pizzeria which is beautifully decorated and upscale. Two entirely different places to eat. (Great ambiance, but the acoustics are a little loud in the tiled section if you are on a romantic date or in a group -- not sure about the other areas.) Food was excellent. I had the fried calamari appetizer and haddock special over escarole and beans with a lemon-based sauce. The entree may have been the best fish entree I have ever had! There are complementary soft bread sticks upon arrival. Not my favorite, but could just be me. I prefer traditional warm Italian bread or crunchy bread sticks, but I appreciate receiving them nonetheless. The service was good and when our entrees were delayed on a busy Friday night, we were given a complementary little after dinner drink. The restaurant is BYOB with parking in the rear. Recently took food out twice in a week. First day just a small pizza 2nd time Small Pizza a sandwich and a Cesar salad. Frequent MANY Italian restaurants and was quite surprised that a restaurant with decent reviews and professes to be upper scale, serves a Cesar salad that looked like a bag of romaine from SHOP RITE , some croutons that looked like they came from a bag. No dressing on salad and a small container of dressing (barely enough)which did not taste like homemade Cesar at all ( like from a bottle)on the side ( basically like from a cheap pizzeria)Also got a hot sandwich which was to have mozzarella. It did but the mozzarella was not even melted. Lastly first time ( 2 nights before) we had pizza which was delicious. This time not even close to that. Sorry guys but when I spend 50 on the 3 things which I don't mind doing , it has to be something special. This was far from it! This was a cool looking spot with tables in the front serving pizzas while the back of the establishment being more intimate that provided authentic Italian cuisine. We seated in the back and to our surprise, the pizza was not on that menu. We did not ask if pizza could be ordered, but regardless the menu had a number of different choices. The service was appreciated, and the food came out promptly. To start, a few pieces of bread were served. They came out hot with plenty of flavors. There seemed to be a combination of different herbs present including rosemary and thyme I believe. It was a solid start to the meal. For an appetizer, I went with the lentil soup ($13). It came with lentils, carrots, celery, and potatoes in a chicken broth. It came in a considerable size bowl and was tasty. It was simple, but ideal on a chilly night. I also tried the Caesar salad. It was compounded nicely, and all ingredients appeared fresh. The best part to my surprise were the little croutons present. They seemed to be homemade. For my main course, I went with the seafood salad ($28) even though it was listed as an appetizer. It was made up of shrimp, calamari, scallops, tomato, celery, banana peppers, endive, and garlic in a lemon vinaigrette. I was most intrigued by the presence of the banana peppers since I had never saw that in a seafood salad before. It was very good, one of the better ones I had. The banana peppers went well with the lemon vinaigrette along with the seafood. The seafood appeared extremely fresh just by the presentation and look of them. The taste did not hurt either. It was also a suitable size even deemed as an appetizer. I also tried the rice balls. They were cooked appropriately with plenty of cheese present. They were appetizing. Will I go back? 3rd time there after 2 great experiences and, unfortunately the 3rd time was not the charm. Entrees took an hour and while as former restaurateur I understand this happens, how the restaurant handles it is important. Our table was in a high traffic area by the kitchen so our server and the manager repeatedly walked by us yet nobody bothered to notice until 50 minutes in that we didn't have our food. This despite me deliberately trying to make eye contact with the manager. Big swing and miss from a customer attentiveness perspective and had someone stopped by sooner to address the issue, I wouldn't be leaving a bad review. For example, many (I might even say most) of the usual Italian pasta dishes are priced at $39. For pasta. Seeing this, for just $4 more, I ordered seafood, which was excellent. Enzo's is a wonderful BYOB gem within Morristown. What misses the eye from the street is their beautiful indoor dining room. Only downfall of the night - as it got more crowded, it is VERY loud with the tile walls and cement floors. On to the good stuff! The staff is SO kind and helpful, they were lovely the whole evening. The food is even more delicious. Highly recommend the meatballs and Florida rock shrimp as appetizers (the meatballs are very dense but moist and delicious). For entrees, the meat dishes are massive - chicken francese and chicken parmigiana... solids choices. The linguine with shrimp, scallops and arugula with vodka cream sauce was AMAZING. WARNING: This restaurant does not serve fresh pasta! A restaurant is allowed to charge $33 for a plate of pasta because they took the time to actually make it handmade the day that you're eating it. Just so everyone knows, that's why food can get expensive. Not because they have green tiles and cute lamps. However, Enzo's serves BOXED PASTA! This is dried pasta that they bought from the supermarket, boiled for a few minutes and then put on your plate. For $30+!! (This was confirmed with me by the waiter) The reason why I think they'll continue scamming customers is because most people outside of cities don't know why food is expensive. Cities have high competition where if you don't make excellent food, you go out of business because someone else will make the food better. But in lil ol Morristown, there aren't any restaurants I know of that make fresh pasta. Which is weird considering NJ has so many Italians and claims to have great Italian food. Also, most fancy Italian restaurants in big cities WONT charge $33+ for a plate of handmade pasta. Enzo is tricking people who think they're getting a great culinary experience. If you want to feel fancy with your friends, or feel sexy and cute on a date, this place has the decor and style down. Great, pay high prices for that. But if you want fresh food, that isn't from the same box you make at home, you will get ripped off and waste a lot of money. read more

They were able to sit us for a late dinner and we all enjoyed the food. They have an awesome garlicky version of rock shrimp. We shared a few pasta dishes, a chicken dish, and the veal parm.
