When I mentioned it, they brushed it off and said it was "normal." Not satisfied with that answer, I sought out Dr. Song, who had recently left New York City to open a practice in Morris Plains, New Jersey. I tracked him down, hopped on a train, and honestly, I would've flown if I had to. From the moment I sat in Dr. Song's chair, everything changed. He immediately diagnosed the issue, relieved the pain, and for the first time in a long time, I felt like I was in the hands of someone who truly knew what he was doing. Dr. Song took the time to re-evaluate the situation. He discovered that the previous dentist's work was incomplete and improperly done. He clearly explained my options, including removing all the prior work and starting fresh, which was the only way to really fix the problem in my opinion. There was root still remaining, an ill fitting crown causing poor bite, and too large post caused terrible pain. An endo and new dentist took months to be able to save my tooth from extraction and manage my pain. I normally don't share feedback but felt I needed to be honest here as the work performed was not quality, rushed and often felt my concerns were not taken seriously.
