And we will be leaving ADT as soon as we can without having to pay their exorbitant fees for moving that have never been a part of our experience and this farce of a contract is up. USE ANYTHING ELSE BUT THIS COMPANY. EVEN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE RUDE AND DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. We have been customers for over 10 years with this company. We've moved across the country with them. The past two years have been the WORST experience with these people. I was then told the camera was broken and I needed a new one. It was not, but I agreed, because it's just a camera, how much could that cost? After that service call to replace a camera the technician just wasn't smart enough to replace, and had to come out multiple times, also showing up with the wrong parts more than once, I was charged about $1000. The camera was also installed very poorly, and had to be redone by another technician because it looked terrible. When I objected to this charge, I was talked into a maintenance plan to avoid these charges, even though they were not my fault. I hadn't planned to move, and I saw no other way out of this, so I agreed. I should not have. About half way through a 3 year contract, I moved out of state. I called to cancel my contract. Instead of thanking me for the 6 years I was their customer, I was told I had to pay the remaining $1550 of my contract, even though they do not service my new location. I explained my situation, how I was forced into this contract over a terrible experience to avoid a ridiculous charge, and I was told they could not do anything. I asked for at least a discount given the circumstances. I was told they did a cost analysis, and could not offer a discount. I was also asked to contact the new owners of my home, and see if they wanted to take over my contract. I refused to do that. This company only cares about money, and their technology is extremely outdated. I would never recommend them to anyone. They have numerous negative Google reviews for a reason.
