We LOVED this place! We were thrilled that we were able to call only a few days prior to a weekend booking and reserved a 2 night full hook up spot for our 22 foot RV. The cost was only around $72 a night. We liked that part of the layout are spaces in small cul-de-sacs, with plenty of space, and restrooms/showers close by. The best part is that you have beach access from your cul-de-sac where you have a small walk accross the road! In addition, theres a somewhat short and scenic walk along the ocean into town where there are tons of cute shops and restaurants. There is a small store where you can check in. Furthermore, San Simeon and Cambria are less than a 30 minute drive and are also great towns to explore. We will definitely be back and highly recommend! read more

We stayed here September 5-12 of 2024. First of all they have about 4 women running the office. It was easy checking in. We stayed in space 90. A bit narrower then we've had at other places. But it was cozy. I'm not sure if you can request a spot. Or you just go where they put you. It was just my husband and I. No pets. The grounds and bathrooms are being cleaned daily by many workers on golf carts . It was really nice. The only thing I would like was to get a confirmation of our stay through Email. They don't send out one. We totally enjoyed this place. It was a short walk to the beach and town. Everyone seemed friendly. As it should be. Can't wait to come back. "They don't answer the phones". I wonder what happens if there were an emergency. My husband and I have stayed at this campground multiple times. We have alway enjoyed ourselves when we stayed here. I was trying to call for a reservation for three days straight and they obviously have a totally outdated phone system. You can't leave a message and all I got was a busy signal. Who does that? So we decided to take a drive, have lunch and come in person to make a reservation. When we entered the office the phones were ringing but the two ladies did not attempt to answer the phones even tho there were no customers in the office, only us. When I inquired about reservations the very rude, old, blond woman proceeded to tell me this is a very popular campground and you need to make reservations a year in advance. But she still asked what dates I was looking at. "All booked" she said in her very rude voice. All the previous times we stayed here even tho they said they were booked we always noticed empty spots the whole time we were there. I think they cater to the people who store their RV there. This campground is so outdated and worn out. You would think all the money they charge that they could maybe do some renovations. And they are now allowing tents at the RV spots. It seemed like people were living here full time. Homeless people. The only plus now is the view of the rock and the fact that the beach is across the road. So disappointing. The appeal is gone for me. They need to work on their customer service, their system of reservations and at least ANSWER THE PHONES. The owners never comment on a review left whether good or bad. Great campsite with a beautiful beach and view just outside the gate. Really couldn't have asked for more. There plenty of street parking for visitors and the town where shops and food is at is only 15 minutes away by foot on a nice boardwalk. We paid $44/night which was great including all services and access to a full shared bath. read more

Morro Bay's best kept secret. It's literally a crosswalk to the beach. A million thank you to Ginger for getting us a reservation the same day, especially during the most busiest 4th of July weekend holiday ever. Shout out to all the staff at Morro Dunes. They provided us a phenomenal service. Kudos to their maintenance crew! This resort is super clean, including their restroom with showers and laundromat. The washer and dryer were also very modern. There's also a doggy area inside the resort. Our space was on the corner and we lucked out because there were shade for our dogs. We also had a nice fire pit and got full hookups which included 50/30/20 AMPS, Water and Sewage. There's a firepit and a picnic table and benches for eating outside right in our space. They have a nice general store that's open daily until 5pm, right at the main office. I forgot to bring my water hose and bought one here. Best of all, it was a minute walk from our space to the outside gates and we were literally at the beach. It was amazing as we had the view of The Rock. We will definitely return and next time, we will bring our bikes and dog trailer as we saw a trail that lead to Morro Bay downtown where they have tons of shops and plenty of outstanding delicious restaurants. A year later and we came back to this RV park, this time in F9. It is a corner spot towards the front of the park. We were next to a full timer, but hardly ever saw them during our three day stay. I have to say the location of this park cannot be beat. You literally walk outside of their perimeters and you're by the beach. I love the beach nearby- soft, powdery sand, the view of the Morro bay rock is magnificent. The park itself has the usual amenities- gender based restrooms with multiple sinks and showers inside. A couple of laundromats. They have a tiny store at the check in office but a dollar tree and grocery are only a few miles away. There is a dog run towards the north east side of the park. Reservations are made over the phone and hook up quickly during peak hours. I've seen the other RV parks and this one is larger and more spacious. I don't know how some trailers fit in the other park. I love this place and it is our go to RV park in Morro Bay. read more

Though a small park with tight spaces, I highly recommend it. It's right on the beach, and the staff are very friendly and willing to work with you on just about anything you need. It's an easy walk to the embarcadero. It's very quiet with few children. They also have showers.

Very poor experience. We have been coming here for years because the location and views are so sweet. However, they have recently adopted a policy saying that you can not extend your stay, even if there are sites available. As the rude front staff explained " you must pack up and exit the park then call, as if you are someone off the street, to see if there is availability ". Apparently, they make enough money to deny extensions even to good paying customers, even if sites go unbooked. this is a very poor business model and will cost them customers. I would rather stay in a lesser park than be treated so rudely! read more

FIRST TIMERS ALERT! When we first pulled in, I wasn't sure what to expect. We were out taking our 22ft trailer and truck for the first time. We stayed in B1 which was right on the main roadway located directly across from the bathrooms and laundry room. Yes, the spots are close together, but we had no problems with privacy. For the most part everyone was respectful about their noise level. The hookups were working well and had no problems. The bathrooms were clean and so were the showers. There are picnic tables and a fire pit in our site. Short walking distance to the beach. Such a great experience, we already have a reservation for July! Only downsides were that the tv and wireless basically didn't work, but we didn't come here to be on the internet or watch tv, so it didn't bother us too much. read more

To be honest, this is a great location with spectacular views of the Rock and walking distance to everything, ( shops, eats, etc..). Even the cleanliness of the restrooms & garbage cans is on point. The only downside is the lack of respect from the patrons who stay here who don't respect the "Quiet Time Hours / 10pm-8am" and the lack of enforcement from the ownership to enforce this. My wife asked a gentleman who was cleaning who we could contact regarding the noise issues after hours and he said we could call the police. Myself, wife & daughter got 4 hours or less each night because of people hooting and hollering and talking loud and being rude. For Morro ownership to drop the ball on enforcing Quiet Time is absurd. I work with a gentleman who's brother owns an RV Park with Tent Camping in the mountains above Fresno, he said his brother or a staff member will walk around at the start of Quiet Time and remind the people who are being loud of the Quiet Time., if they continue to be rude/loud, he will take down there info (which already has) ask them to leave the next morning if was that bad and not let them come back (@ leas try). Just FYI, this was our second time camping at Morro RV park with the same problem, therefore we will not be back because of this lack of enforcement and SLEEP ., Campers Be Ware. Especially Tent Campers. A fence board and maybe 30' is all that separates the next tent area. Thanks. read more

We LOVED this park! Their office is a little old school so just be open minded when booking. All I have to say is if you love Morro Dunes beach and Embarcadero this is the place to stay. I have been coming to Morro Dunes since I was a little girl (10yo), so I have a solid 13 years of experience with this place. I would usually rate it 5 stars because of its great location and walking distance to practically everything. The staff even does a great job of keeping the bathrooms and garbages clean. However, as I have been coming here for 13 years I have noticed a change in the respect aspect when it comes to my fellow campers. For years there was a staff member named Stewart (who has since retired) that would actively enforce quiet hours. Since Stewart's departure from the facility the quiet hours (10pm - 8am) are no longer enforced. I still love Morro Dunes, I have lots of fond memories here, it's just I wish the staff would enforce their quiet hours like they used to. read more

All I can say is WOWWWWWW! What an amazing place to pull your fifth wheel into and hang out for a week! My Dad and I are on vacation here and could not of been more pleased with any other place in the world. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable! They get you in and on your way to a great vacation! They also have onsite maintenance men who can help with any mechanical issue. The grounds are kept immaculate, I even saying they sweep the camp sites after each camper leaves so the new camper has fresh grounds! Amazing. The multiple restrooms are always clean and fully stocked. Their showers always have hot water and also kept very clean. They have multiple full laundry facilities. You'll love this place they have full hook ups, tent camping and so much more to offer. The views are breathtaking and world famous! This is just a brief walk over a maintained footpath to Embarcadero where every restaurant, eatery and shop is located. This is also located just next to the iconic rock and majestic ocean. They have a lovely little dog park or the beach is also dog friendly. The other campers are just wonderful folks who are kind and friendly. I can. Or wait to come back read more

The park is older, tight and not many amenities but I give a full 5 stars why? The location is stunning. Steps from the beach. The staff is very friendly. The price is hard to beat. There are full hookups. Lastly well maintained. The 20 years I have been coming here they always rake and prepare each site before you check in.
