Came here around 04/23 and forgot to leave a review. At the time I took my car in because I had my catalytic converter stolen, got it towed to their shop and was offered an aftermarket option for next day install or 6+ month wait for the original part. I decided I was going for the aftermarket option. The next day they called me to let me know the thief didn't completely saw it off! They welded it back and saved me money! I had my catalytic converter stolen out of my Prius last November. The thieves did thousands of dollars worth of damage, which fortunately most of it was covered by my insurance, but after that I decided to install a cage and chains. I was recommend to go to Morse Muffler in Burbank. This morning my car was targeted again but the thieves took so long to try and saw off the piece that my building manager heard it and came down to scare them off. I took my car back to Morse and turns out they couldn't even break off the converter and only did minimal damage. Basically, I'm recommending that if any of you have converters in your car and are looking for a great place to get a cage installed I highly recommend Morse!! Tim at Morse mufflers really does a good job at all facets of the business. He is not cheap, but he is by far, the absolute best in the business. It took the corvette shop who originally installed my exhaust system 5 tries to get it right where it didn't scrape on the ground over speed bumps or parking the car in my garage, but then I got rear-ended and had to repair it again. When I got the car back from the collision shop the exhaust and cats were again scraping on the ground, to which I was told, "Well, thats the best we can do." This place has quality parts but it is very very expensive i paid $705 tax included for a cat converter when a few hours later i found out from another shop that i could gotten the same part for $500 plus $100 for labor, Morse wanted $1k for everything. The place i went to is on Alvarado and Kent close to the 101 freeway. Just give Wilson or Jose a call, (213)483-5581 or (213)483-2952. You will get the same quality parts and very cheap labor. I brought my motorcycle here to have a 2into1 exhaust section made. I provided some 3D printed parts to give them an idea of what I'd like the exhaust to look like including muffler placement. The cost was reasonable and everyone there seemed nice. The one criticism is the muffle placement was off angle. Maybe there's a reason for it but I wish it was more similar to what I had mocked up. read more

Absolute best exhaust shop. My first car done here was a 240z. This time my land cruiser needed some help. I've managed to smash my exhaust to bits on rocks off roading all over socal and central California. Tom gave me some recommendations on mufflers that would not break so easily from rock hits. Was recommended by a friend to get some muffler work done at Morse Muffler.. I am very satisfied with the quality of service done on my bmw. I wanted a muffler delete, and Tim having 30 years experience knew exactly what I was looking for. I was able to watch the whole process and pick out what I wanted. The pipe cuts and welding were proper and no short cuts were taken. The changes to my new exhaust fitting are properly in place and will hold due to the quality job. I went to this shop become of the reviews but I do not think they are truly a repair shop or at least not for newer cars . We took our car there with a single error code that was not allow it to pass smog. We where told it needed a catalytic converter so we did the repair $1400 it has now gone back to the shop 3 times with every time they keep resetting the SAME code that was happening before the repair coming to terms with the fact that we where sold a cat when it didn't need it and 20 + days of it being in the shop and the car is still not repaired ! I am going to give it one last chance before I file in small claims court. I will update with the outcome. read more

My 1967 BMW 2000CA had a leaky exhaust so I bought a replacement and took it in to get fitted. Old cars take some finesse add in a NOS but non original replacement exhaust from the 60's and it's a recipe for disaster but Morse had my shiny new exhaust fitted in a couple of hours. Last summer 2020 I had Morse Muffler install some anti-theft equipment on my Prius to protect my catalytic converter. This Feb 2021, thieves "attempted" to steal my converter. I am happy to report that the thieves were not successful in their efforts. The bad news, they still caused $300 in damage. I wish the crooks would have seen the anti-theft gear before they started cutting! Nonetheless, the guys at Morse Muffler were great to work with both times. The other ratings are tried and true here. These guys seriously are the best. I have since sold but had a 2005 Honda CRV some catalytic converter thieves were really after. They tried to come take my catalytic converter 4 different times but were unsuccessful. The third time they tried to get it, they again just sawed through but did not complete the job at the connecting point at the beginning of the converter. I brought my car here to resolve the issue since I thought it just required a weld and not only did they weld the damage for me but advised me to install some protective measures with no pressure but explained it very clearly why my car was a target for catalytic converter theft. I had them put in the protective measures that day and thankfully I did because the thieves tried to come for it again and were unsuccessful in their attempt.
