I went to fix catalytic converter which cost over $2100 check engine light was on when I went back to pick up car check engine light was off and catalytic and installed drove one hour light came back on called them same day told me to come back and they would check it out. I went back and king muffler had there neighbor check my car out open the hood never closed the hood back and said it was not there problem and thought it was funny. If I could do 10 Stars I would. The Range Rover dealership told me I had a crack in the exhaust manifold and the price they gave was outrageous. I went by King Muffler to see what they could do and he put it up on the lift, inspected everything thoroughly and told me there was no crack in the exhaust manifold and no problems that he could see... he said if a warning light came on you would be glad to recheck it but until then it needs nothing. When asked him how much the inspection was he told me there was no charge and if I need something in the future they'd be glad to take care of me. This is the way it should be. I'm a doctor and if a patient comes in that really doesn't need to see me, I make sure they get a referral to a doctor that can help them and I don't charge them. Had them install an exhaust today on my Alfa Romeo Guilia on Saturday (March 18) left the car on Friday. At the time didn't think to check for any issues since I trusted them and was in a rush but my mistake. King Muffler was amazing. Harry was so accommodating to my circumstances. I was having such a difficult time with my smog check given that my catalytic converter was stolen in November 2020 during a period of illness. Harry was very accommodating located the best part for my car which he did his research and found the correct catalytic converter that could be installed on my Honda. Note it was the correct approved part in the state of California. Unfortunately the DMV did not think so and I had to jump through hoops just to get my car approved for a smog check. First, I went to a state of California BAR referee. Which I didn't even know existed but apparently what their job is basically to inspect aftermarket parts that were installed on your vehicle which in this case it was a catalytic converter. My first appointment with this referee did not go so well he declined the part that was installed at muffler King and the referee informed me that I needed a brand new catalytic converter. I called Harry at muffler King and heroes more than accommodating and fair with prices to the Catalytic converter that was listed on a new list that the referee provided during the first appointment. Come to find out, that referee was incorrect and Harry really did put the correct part on my car. During the process Harry was very accommodating and supportive. He did not charge me after seeing my car and expecting it multiple times. The shop was understanding and it was working with me during this process. After two months I am glad to post that my car was approved by this referee and my Muffler is now registered in the state of California. Which I didn't know was a thing but I guess we all have to register or catalytic converter's thank you state of California that's where my taxpayer money is going to. Thank you to muffler King , Harry and the staff that works at the shop. I would definitely recommend the shop for anyone that would be interested in replacing a stolen catalytic converter which has been happening a lot in the San Fernando Valley. Get a job you losers stop stealing catalytic converter's you guys are some real POS! read more
