Started out amazing, the team at mortgage depot was helpful and knowledgeable. They really helped me in determining what documents were needed and gave me plenty of time to get them. The only problem I ran into was the day of the closing. First issue I didn't know what my exact payment was going to be until I arrived to closing and then when I did find out the numbers they were wrong because the taxes were too high. It's my first house so I don't know who's fault this was but as a first time homeowner this was not ideal. I called Tariq and he jumped into action and got things fixed. It took a really long time but I didn't care at the end of the day. They were there to make things right. All in all I'd recommend them even if mine wasn't exactly perfect. They can't through when it mattered the most. read more

Terrible company. Please do not waste your time with these people. I had Boris as a loan officer and he has no respect for anyone's time. For starters, his word means nothing. I reached out to him on Monday regarding a loan. He told me I would hear back from him by the end of the business day. I did not hear back from him. I reach out Tuesday afternoon to follow up, he says I will get a response by the end of the day, again, I DIDNT HEAR BACK. I waited a day, then reach out again! It's thursday. He says " oh I sent an email, we should hear back shortly." AGAIN I DO NOT GET A RESPONSE. I reach out Friday morning , he goes " I'll have a response for you this morning. Guess what happen.......... HE DIDNT HAVE A RESPONSE FOR ME THAT MORNING. I reached out again around 7pm Friday and he says he's still working on it and that he assured me that I would have an answer by the following morning. Can anyone guess what happen the following morning? You guessed it!!! NO RESPONSE FROM BORIS! Is this guy serious?! To make matters worse, I politely ask for yet again another update. He just ignored me all together. The mans word means nothing. He never apologized or showed any remorse for wasting my time. This company is a complete waste of time. I strongly recommend looking somewhere else. Investors have very valuable time and it can't be wasted by people who flat out don't care. This company will cause you to lose time and you'll most likely not close your loans on time, especially when you have people like Boris making empty promises. Stay away. Don't believe me? Ask Boris for an update on your loan. Just don't hold your breath. read more

I have never experienced lack of professionalism and lack of honesty as I did from Yury Gohkberg and his team that did our recent mortgage and Line of Credit! We purchased a house through them in April 20201, only because the seller asked for us to go through his mortgage broker. We spoke to Yury Gohkberg who is the lead broker, who at first promised us that we qualify for everything. He promised that we would get CEMA Mortgage with the loan, and right away asked us to write a check to a suggested attorney. He never followed up with his attorney, and could not even give us the attorney contact info so we can follow up, and ultimately the load did not even qualify for a CEMA mortgage and we lost the money we gave to the attorney. Then it keeps getting WORSE and WORSE! He pushed us to buy down the rate on a Loan that costed us extra 15 K, meanwhile he knew is not a great deal and that we will have to refinance in the future. But he didn't disclose this to us at all. At first we couldn't figure out who was even handling our Mortgage and Line of Credit. Finally we were dealing with David Jaffe, who is talking to us as he is doing us a favor . Very condescending and cold. We asked at least 10 times to send us numbers on closing costs and on the CD. They never provided us with this. We didn't know if we had enough money to cover the costs because they could not calculate for us, and every time we called they would not answer the phone on us, or we were told to leave a message. The worst part of this situation is that Yury said that our line of credit is Interest only for 2 years and fixed rate. Now it turns out its Principal and Interest payments and its an adjustable rate. He is a major LIAR ! When I called him to say why did you lie to us, we trusted you , he said that that someone was supposed to review the documents with you, but didn't before closing. His people didn't even provide closing costs till a few hours before closing, causing our attorney to rush everything to get us to close on time. He was the one who was responsible for our loans and o disclose everything to us truthfully. Now when I call him he said its fine you will refinance anyway in December. He doesn't care how financially this is impacting our family, he doesn't care how poorly he communicated with us and how poorly his team handled our Loans. He is a money hungry Liar that tells you everything you want to hear and promises you a completely different loan then what he delivers for you . He cares about volume and not quality , At the end we got screwed but I don't want this to occur to any one ever again! Stay Away from Yury Gohkberg and Mortgage Depot ! read more
